14/f...so there was this guy who went to my school for the past 2 years but didn't come back this year. i liked him soooo much it was crazy and i flirted with him all the time. he liked me for part of the year last year and then stopped. everytime i think i'm over him i find myself liking him again. then, this year, at my friend's party, he was there but he didn't talk to me the whole time but we kept looking at each other and i found out he had a girlfriend. it was so awkward and ever since then even talking online is awkward and i don't know what to do because i want to be friends with him still even though i know it will never go farther than that but i feel like we can't talk anymore. what should i do??
you should be the one to 'break the ice'. i mean like say something hey i miss the way we used to talk or something. cause it seems like he may be too shy to say something. so you should say something first. he will probably be relieved that you finally said something.

you should like go outside if they are outside and walk by and whatever. ask them to hang out. but get a group of girls to like hang out with. so it will be less akward. you could i/m him which is much easier then in person. but if your up to talking to him in real life then talk about sports if you both are into them. or food? or something you both enjoy. friends maybe?

well what kind of site are you talking about? advicenators? well just go to the profile setting page. and like check it all out. im not really good at that kind of stuff. or explaining it atleast :-/
you can overcome nervousness by practicing whatever your nervous about. say its public speaking, well just keep practicing it. start talking in public more often to get used to it. maybe your nervous about a date or something. you just really have stay calm and try to not let it show that your nervous. whatever it is, my best advice would be to not rush the moment, take deep breaths, do whatever it is with someone your comfortable with, and just try your best.
some job ideas for kids in ny could be anything. from a paper route to babysitting. working at a local grocery store, mowing your neighbors lawn, or in your case(and mine) shoveling. where in ny? the city? or upstate? you could ask your parents to set up an allowance type of thing. that works well for some of my friends. maybe you could become a camp conselor somewhere. thats what i do. its wicked fun and you get to hang out with people. all while making money. not much better than that huh?

I'm 13 and I'm trying out for my school's volleyball team in 2 weeks. I've never played on a team before; but I've been to 6 camps, several private training classes with the coach, and practice with my dad alot [ he and the coach play on the same adult leauge team * they're best friends but she already told me I wasn't garenteed a spot on the team]
However I'm really nervous, I'm not that tall. And the Coach practicly immeaditley takes tall girls even if they have no idea what sport they're trying out for leaving only a few extra spots for girls who know what there doing. I'm a pretty good player; I've taken 1st 2nd and 3rd in my camps final tournements. But I'm really nervous; I'm so nervous I can't even serve anymore. My serves haven't made it over the net consistenly in 2 weeks. How can I calm down; and better prepare myself for try outs? Thanks guys =]
take a couple of deep breaths right before your going to serve. it helps alot. take your time too. don't rush it. get a good night sleeps before also. try eating a snack before you go to tryout so you'll have some energy.

alright it always seems that when my brother has friends over that im always home, because all my friends are busy and there is no one to talk to on the phone. Now his friends are really hot so i dont want them to think im a loser its just a cowinsdense (sp) that im home when he has his friends over, and no i dont do it on purpose. I try calling people to talk so i dont look like a dork but of course no one is home when i need them . What do around the house so they dont think im a loser? and i know like watching t.v or something but last time i did that one of his friends went " why is she sitting there watching tv"

ok so this is basically a follow up of my other question.
like i said in the last one, me and my sister dont' get along anymore. which just basically sucks. well so the other night she tells me she hates me and she wasn't playing arund i could tell and she told me today again she did and shes repeated more times. i guess just to keep me aware that i know. who knows. well like i can't talk to her because she wont listen. like you can say some people are stubborn. shes stubborn but its her bf. well he basically controls her. well i cried thatnight when she first told me that and i cried this morning in class and now again because she just told me again. and i don't know what to do. to either keep hiding that it hurts me so much or just i don't know. i jsut want some advice i can use. thx in advance.

I know that this is really long and confusing, but I really need help, so please read this!!!!!
There is this group of 5 girls, and we're not a clique but we are really good friends; Girl 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. So I will be girl # 3. 1 has just announced to this guy that she likes him. She is veryyyyy shy, and I used to be her very best friend. 2 is now hanging around with all these guys, forming another group of just guys, constantly flirting with them, almost turning into a slut. SHe used to be #4's best friend. 1 and 2 are now revolving their entire lives around this one boy, who really isn't anything special, and are basically ignoring us. One of the guys they have recently befriended is a complete pervert; you can imagine how that makes me, 4 and 5 feel. 1 and 2 are now constantly going to the mall with these guys, but not only that, they aren't inviting me, 4 and 5. Last Friday, we were walking home, without 1, so we were sort of in rows talking; me with 2, and 4 and 5 together (sorry if this is a bit confusing). My house is the first one we stop at, and then 5. 4 recently told me that when me and 5 left, 2 didn't wait for 4 but just kept walking, about 100 ft ahead of her, without even looking back ignoring her. These two girls have been best friends since 6th grade, and this is the first time that this has happened since. Now she is basically ignoring all of us, and walking to school today she ditched us for someone younger than us (1 wasn't walking with us). Why are they so mad? Do they have reason to be so mad?
So far, I think the only reason that they are so mad at us is because we aren't really supportive of them constantly spending time with that one boy and ignoring us. Talking on IM, 1 didn't respond to me because she was talking on the phone to the boy. 2 asked me if she was talking to me, and I said, no, shes probably talking to that boy. She doesn't stop talking to him. Then 2 got really insulted and said, "so? What's wrong with that? I talk to Tom (another boy who is also very annoying and completely perverted) all the time and we're not even going out. Yes, me and 4 know that, and we don't really apporve. She is talking to him so much that she missed a cancellation we had to make, because she was on the phone and we couldn't reach her. 1 also spends all of her time talking to the other boy, at least 5 hours a day, on the phone
Should we talk to them? Or should we just give up on their friendship, as now their lives are completely revolting around these idiot, perverted boys?

I would ignore them because they obvisously (no offence) don't really appractiate friendships the way friend should. once they realize that those boys aren't going to be there very long they are probably going to come running back to you. its you choice to take them back. personally, i wouldn't because i don't want friends who are going to desert me for boys. not happening. hope i helped. good luck.

I have a problem where i eat WAY TOO much! but i hate the way I feel afterwards and last spring I stopped eating completely and I loved the way I felt and looked but when i went to camp i just started eating again.... All I can ever think about is food! I'm not fat! (I was actually voted hottest younger sister by my older sister's guy friends!!!) But I'm just uncomfortable with the way I look. I'm on the shorter side with huge boobs that make me look thinner then i am but still... I want to feel thin! HELP ME!!!!
try some sports or something you like that will keep you active. like soccer, basketball, walking all the time, even an occisonal jog. anything to keep you active and inshape. just don't stop eating because thats disgusting. and plus, all of my guy friends have told me that girls playing sports are sexy ;)

I really like this guy. We are best friends to like, the fullest extent. He is also my ex-boyfriend. He is known throughout my school as "the flirt" because he flirts with EVERYONE. Well, he is always telling me about girls he thinks are hot and who he likes and how his relationships never work out and like, how he wishes he could just have a good relationship that isn't shitty. We tell eachother everything. He came over a little while ago and we were hanging out and he started kissing me. To say the least, we began to make out. He came over again a few days ago and we were hanging out in the same place and we were really close, and cuddling and stuff like we did the other time but he went in for a kiss and i told him i promised myself i wouldn't make out with him. he understood. ive been trying to get over him. so we just hung out .. cuddled and stuff still but didn't make out. we kept getting closer and i couldnt help myself..we ended up making out again. but in between that, he kept saying things like "i dont want to love you" and then he was like "i don't want to makeout with you but i can't help myself" and i was like "why" and he was like "i don't know. i don't understand myself.. but i can't stop myself from loving you" and this was basically in between breaths and he was kissing my neck and stuff. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO
he probably has feelings for you but doesn't know how to tell you besides kissing and making out. you obvisously have feelings for him too. but if you don't wanna be in a relationship with him or whatever you should stop yourself from cuddling and what not. he would probably get the idea. but if your okay with all of this, then you should tell him that you like him. if its awkard just to get out there and say it then just keep doing what your doing. but make sure he doesn't think that your just a girl for kissing and making out and make sure that he knows you want to be taken seriously.
