Q: 18/F In the supermarket parking lot, I was approached by a homeless man and he said he needed money to go to the hospital. My mom was still inside the store, so I felt I should just give him what he asked for and I wouldn't have to worry about him harming me or anything. I gave him five dollars. However, I'm not naive. I have terrible body image, but I also despise myself for caring too much about what I look like. I am now over 200 pounds, and I am 5'5". All of my adult life I have been around this weight. The only exception is that I lost about 30 pounds once, but I didn't keep it off. I tell people I want to lose weight for my health, but I know deep down that the majority of my motivation is because I hate the way I look.
Despite being obese, I seem to be in pretty good health. I have excellent blood pressure. I have perfect cholesterol levels. There is absolutely nothing wrong with me health-wise. I work out regularly. I drink nothing but water, tea, and juice, except for one or two 12 oz beers on occasion. I eat mostly vegetables, rice, beans, fruit, nuts, and lean chicken breasts. I cook most of my own food, and I won't even keep things like butter or salt in my kitchen. It doesn't seem to matter. I know to lose weight I am going to have to eat less and work out more. I just wish it wasn't such an emotional issue.
My questions are:
1. How can I get to a point where I want to lose weight for the right reasons?
2. Why do I have the healthiest habits of anyone I know, yet I'm heavier than all these people who regularly drink soda, eat fast food, and sit on their butts watching television?
3. How can you improve your body image and reverse seemingly irreparable damage to it? Am I doomed to be this way for the rest of my life?

I'm sorry that I can't help you more.
But you might want to look into seeing a physctrist.
Also.. juice isn't good for you. It's almost worse then soda because it contains tons of sugar.
You can be eating the right food, however even if you're eating too much of the right food it can still have negative effects.
What you should do is instead of having 3 large meals like breakfast, lunch, and dinner is have 6 smaller meals making sure your calories end up at about 1,200 (you might want to check that number on the calories I'm not 100% sure) a day.

Q: so my friend kept tellin me about this guy "bob" about how he has bad uck and is looking for a good girl. I have dealt with some bs from guys lately and she kept telling me to come over they live in a frat house type kinda thing. well when I was supposed to come over "bob" would always ask if I was comming and that he was intrigued. Well we sat in the kitchen took a few shots and he started to eat something he asked if I ate and I said no she he made me eat. there was one more chicken nugget and I still had one in my hand but he wouldnt eat it he said he was giving it to me. well he walked me to my car and i realized i was pretty drunk and couldnt back my car out so we was outside talking and he kissed me well he talked me into staying there well we slept in the same bed just kissed and cuddled, the next morning he walked me to my car. i didnt get his num or give him mine cuz i didnt kno what he thought. tonight he came in and went to his room and was looking the other way my mom got mad because i should of been like hi bob. i will be there this comming weekend for a party what should i do. i wanan get to know him more

Q: I feel like I have done a significant amount of work in peripheral countries for my age. Peripheral is the correct word for third world just to keep everyone on par. I started at 17 teaching English and Health in rural Argentina and Bolivia. I am now 20 and have spent over a year in these areas. I found out today that one of the kids I worked with starved to death. I am just at a point where I'm wondering whether it's worth it. It costs me over $3000 dollars a year to be able to volunteer. I'm a triple major in Spanish/Political Economics/Latin American Studies with a Portuguese minor. Can one person really change anything? Am I wasting my time? Most of my peers have decided that spending their money on cars and parties is more worthwhile. I'm beginning to think I'm the unrealistic one. Guevara died and South America remains in poverty. Ghandi died and the India remains an impoverished country. Should the privileged just enjoy their wealth? I'm sorry if this seems like a sob story. I'm just looking for evidence that there is some progress being made, and I can't find it..

You sound like an amazing person.
What you're doing now has made part of who you are.
Think of who or what you might be without this experience and all not only you've done to help other people but what its done for you.
I deffiently think that one person can change the world. You seem like one of the people.
And even if you can't help the world. You may have ment the world to one of the kids you've helped.
I can't express enough how much you are doing and even at 17. Adults don't even have enough courage or are to selfish to even try to help third world countries even by giving a donation let alone their time like you are.

Q: Well I'm finally allowed to go to one of my friend's 16th birthday parties and I haven't gone to a birthday party since in grade 3 and so I'm very anti-social about these things.

Yea you still get the people things. If you know anyone else that is going to the party ask them what they are getting her. If they tell you they arn't getting her anything make sure you check with one other person just to make sure they arn't getting her anything either.
If they are however a gift card to a place where you can buy clothes like charlotte russe is perfect.
