Birthday parties of THIS century?
Well I'm finally allowed to go to one of my friend's 16th birthday parties and I haven't gone to a birthday party since in grade 3 and so I'm very anti-social about these things.
Do people still give people gifts in teen parties? I asked my friend what she wants and she says that I don't need to get her anything but do I REALLY don't have to give her anything? I mean, if I don't and everyone else does, I'll feel really bad but I just really don't know about these kinds of things...

The last few birthday parties I've been to have been kinda split on giving gifts. The person's closest friends will usually get them something. Other people usually just give a card with $5 in it or nothing at all.
If you're not that close to her, just give her a birthday card with some money in it.

Yea you still get the people things. If you know anyone else that is going to the party ask them what they are getting her. If they tell you they arn't getting her anything make sure you check with one other person just to make sure they arn't getting her anything either.
If they are however a gift card to a place where you can buy clothes like charlotte russe is perfect.
