Hey everyone. Well, I started my period about 5 days ago and have a few questions. #1: How long does a period last?? #2: How long should you wait to start wearing tampons? and then i have a concern. i wear pads of course, but blood has gotten into EVERY pair of underwear i wear. what can i do about this? i can't go out buy a whole supply of underwear every week. well your period usually lasts anywhere from 5-8 days and when i first got it i started wearing tampons like right away because i was very athletic. As for your underwear save about 7-10 underwear that you just wear when you are on your period that way you still have a clean supply when you aren't on your period. Hope I helped =)

divorce is really hard, not just on your parents but also on you. My parents got divorced when i was in the 5th grade and i always acted like everything was fine, but inside i was so depressed and i just didn't want to deal with anything. Then i realized that being in the marriage that my parents were in wasnt't making them happy, and i really thought about it i wanted my parents to be happy. Its just a fact that after your parents get divorced it is gonna be hard on you. But im sure your dad loves you and he knows that you love him to. And after my parents divorce i got even closer to my parents because i got to spend time with both of them. Things will all work out in the end. Hope I helped =)

when i go out with my guys, i don't kiss anyone but my bf because i think its cheating, but one of the guys i dated thought cheating was going out with someone else while you were going out with him. But in my view that is cheating. I know that is kinda confusing in a way but i hope i helped =)

Hello I am 13 years old and is going out with this really, really sweet guy. But now hes getting too attached and between us is getting a bit awkward now. I want to be just friends with him because whenever I hang around him we talk to each others like we were just mates. I mean now I love him but only in a friend way. Tell your boyfriend that you really just want to be friends. Because you obviously aren't that happy in that relationship if you are falling in love with this other guy. Since your boyfriend really cares about you if you do break up with him it will hurt him, that is kinda just a fact, im sorry, but if you really just want to be friends and you are not happy then you need to end the relationship. The same thing happend to me when i was in the 7th grade. I was dating my best friends but after like 3 months i saw it going no where so i broke up with him because all i could see him as was another one of my freinds. Sure he was upset after a while and you will be kinda upset to after because you know that you would have hurt him but it will all be ok. After my ex-bf and me weren't upset anymore we became great friends again. it will all work out, I really hope i helped =)

This always worked for me, like if he tells jokes than laugh at what he says, but not so much that its like over kill. Also like smile at him all the time (like cute girl next door smile kinda) and just joke around with him and stuff that always works for me. It isnt to like smack in the face or anything, its nice a subtle. Hope I helped =)

Well, for starters, I'm a freshman in high school (15/f). I like this guy in one of my classes, and he's really nice and we talk and all, but my problem is that he's a junior. Dont be scared of rejection because life is all about taking chances and making things happen that you want to happen. I think you should just ask him out, and if he does say no, then yes it will be akward..but only for a little bit. It would suck if every guy was interested in the same thing because what makes them different is usually what makes them wonderful. I know a girl who hasn't done drugs, had sex or drank. She's never been kissed, or even had a serious boyfriend, and she's 21. Her uncle recently died, and her family, most of whom are drunks and stoners, are fighting about what to do with her uncle's inheritance, and she's caught in the middle.
I've also got a major crush on this girl, and it's mutual. To add to this, though, we're not the same race (which matters to her family), and because of her family, she's never been spoiled (which I love doing to her) and she's really introverted and shy about herself.

I think you just need to tell her how you feel, you can't really change what is happening in her family and the death of her uncle but you can be there to support her and make sure that she has somebody to lean on. Well since he was your first boyfriend it will be even harder. A part of you will always still like him becuase he was your first, and part of him will always be with you. In order to get over my first bf i tried hanging out wtih my friends alot more (and don't talk about your ex bf when you are with them) and doing things that kept my mind off my ex bf and soon after a while you will barely be thinking about him.Also remind yourself that you are better without him and that you deserve better. But just a reminder it always takes longer to get over you first bf than any other in your life.

Well i'm in the 8th grade, and I dont have a best friend... is that bad??? I'm not saying that I am lonely and I have no friends, I have plenty of friends.. just none of them are actually my BEST friends. Arn't best friends supposed to be there for you when you're feeling low? and they always come and sleepover and you always share secrets with each other? welll it seems like whenever I go up to my other friends, they are always busy with 'their' other best friends. Ok well best friends are very hard to come by, its like finding a needle in a haystack. The way it was for me was as soon as i moved i knew nobody but when i met the best friend that i have now i was really shy. So as for the shy thing try hanging with other people, and meet knew people. I know in your question you told me that you dont make friends easy but conquering your fear and speeching to groups will help you meet new people, it helps calm your nerves. I use to be super nervous. Also tell your parents that you need to talk to them about something, and that they need to make time to talk to you. They could probably help you throgh some of the stuff that you are feeling. It is just an idea and I really hope I helped. Just remember best friends and very very very hard to find, so dont feel to sad, my best friend doesn't even live in my state. But just have fun and meet new people and your fear of giving speeches will soon go lessen (sp?) I really do hope i helped =)

Well if you want peolple to stop thinking that your a boy maybe dress in clothes that show off you curves or your figure more, that should help. As for the make-up dont worry about it, i hate make-up to and i only wear it for REALLY special occasions. Anyway I think changing the way you dress should change what people think about your physical appearacne. I really hope i helped.

First i would apologize to the boy saying that you are really sorry that you teased him for not reason. Then in maybe a day or to ask him out. As for his mom, dont worry about her, she can't really do anything to your guys realationship, she can say what she thinks to her son but its her son's choice who he wants to say. im in love with my best guy friend. we've been friends with benefits for a while but never liked each other more than friends. now he's going out with my other best friend. we've stopped being friends with benefits but he'll still hug me or rest his head on me and his girlfriend is ok with that. my problem is that i liked him before he was going out with my other friend but didnt say anything because i thought it might be weird going out with my best friend. i still haven't been able to get rid of my feelings for him. i dont know if i should tell him or just try to somehow not like him anymore. any advice could help

You can't not like someone... like you can't ever control how you feel about someone, it just kinda happens and sometimes it hits you square in the face. But i think you should tell him how you feel. I kidna think you should also wait to tell him how you feel after his relationship with your best friend because if you do it while he is still going out with her you might cause some other problems in the friendship that you have with his girlfriend. But if you really feel strong about him and you can't wait any longer to tell him how you feel then go ahead and tell him, but also tell your friend (his gf) how you feel and how you didnt want to ruin your guys relationship but that you've like him in forever and you just needed to tell him. Make sure that you explain to her how important it is for you guys to stay friends and im sure that if she is trully a friend that she will understand. I really want a bf cuz iv nevr had one b4. all my frends hav. im 13 and i jusst found out that the guy i liked is going out with some girl noone in my school knows, so hes out. i also like a seventh grader( is that weird?) and had this female seventh grader ask him if he'd evr go out w/ an 8th grader (he sed ya if shes hot but not one frum our skkool) so darn.

well i was kinda the same way and just to answer one of your questions it is ok to like and go out with a 7th grader. Because im 13 and i went out with a 7th grader and the fact that he was a year younger than me never bothered me or my friends so thats ok. As for wanting a boyfriend if you just wait and be laid back the right guy will come along and find you, that was how it was for me. The right guy usually comes along when you least expect it. But another thing you could probably do would be to go to other things outside your skewl and meet other guys your own age so that will give you other chances to meet the right guy. I really hope i helped because i went through the same thing.
