does anybody have a really GOODDD chocolate chip cookie recipe? i know that i could just google it and get a mediocre (sp?) recipe, but i want a SUPER good recipe, i'm gonna make some for my boyfriend for our 1 year. (link)

I went to a cooking school last year, and they had the most amazing cookie recipe. It had an amazing chewy texture, and wasn't too sweet like many cookie recipes could be. I promise you wont be let down. These have got to be my favorite cookies ever.
Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. fine salt
2 cups rolled oats (not quick-cooking kind)
2 sticks unsalted butter, brought to room temperature
3/4 packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips.
1. preheat oven 375 degrees F.
2. Sift flour, baking soda, and salt into a large mixing bowl; whisk in the rolled oats and set aside until needed.
3. Put the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer. Fit it with the paddle attachment. Mix on low speed for 30seconds, then increase the speed to high. Keep mixing on high speed until it looks light and fluffy, about 8 minutes. This is called "creaming." While you are creaming the butter anc sugars, stop the mixer two or three times to scrape down the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula.
4. With the motor running on low speed, add the eggs and vanilla. When the ingredients are starting to come together, increase speed to high.
5. When the ingredients are mixed together well, reduce the speed to low and carefully add 1/3 of the flour mixture. When the flour is mixed into the dough, carefully add another 1/3 of the flour. Continue mixing on low speed to combine. Add the remaining flour and mix together well.
6. Turn off the motor and add the chocolate chips. Mix on low speed just to combine.
7. Put parchment paper on 2 baking sheets. Using a small ice-cream scoop, scoop about 2 tablespoons of cookie dough for each cookie. Put them on the parchment paper, spacing them about 21/2 inches apart.
8. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven until the edges are just beginning to brown, about 12-15 minutes.
8. Carefully remove the cookies from the oven. Let cool on a cooling rack.

My boyfriend's gone for the weekend, and I want to make him a really nice dinner tomorrow night when he gets back.
Thing is, I can't think of a good dessert to make for him. He doesn't like cheesecake, and I don't want to make a cake, because we'll never eat it all before it goes bad.

Chocolates are always fun to make and really good to eat. You could make simple truffles by making a ganache out of melted semisweet chocolate and heavy cream, and then when it hardens you roll it into small bite-sized balls. After refreezing them, you melt some more semisweet chocolate or any chocolate type that you like, and dip them in. You can roll them in cocoa powder, crushed nuts, or dried coconut flakes if you'd like. It's a rich, elegant dessert, and not to mention, an aphrodisiac.

Okay, so theres this girl that ive known for a year. and shes likee the biggest drama queen. so about a week ago, she goes and takes something out of my bag after i got up to throw something out.
and i notice how shes trying to make a run for her seat since she was at my table. so i was like..why are you going through my stuff? do i have to put a lock on my bag so people dont take things? and shes like mimiking me the whole time and was likee "shut up. who cares" all that immature bullish.
so im likee okay whatever.
so then i hear her from across the room saying she wants to kick the sh*t out of me and i ignore it.
and for the past week shes been talking **** about me so i can hear her. shes sayin stuff like "shes so ugly and she has no friends" when its really the total opposite.
i dont know how to confront her or what to say to her when shes talking this crap. what would you say?
whats a really good thing to say that will make her not know what to say?

Well, the first method you should try is ignoring itx If you're reacting now, try not reacting for a little while, and see if she stops. Sometimes people just enjoy pissing people off. Next time you catch her talking about you, just show yourself (not in the obvious "I'm here" way) and say something along the lines of "I'd appreciate it if you'd stop talking behind my back about me."
But that's the more Martin Luther King Jr. way of dealing with it. Me, if I'm dealing with somebody terrible, I'd find information to hit them wear it hurt. Sometimes you just have to show people that you're strong and can defend yourself. Just make sure you never, ever, make fun of their parent's divorce, or something as private as that.

You can, but like someone else said, make sure it's definitely abuse and definitely something that can't keep going on.. If a mother is just strict, there's no need to report her, but if she screams at her kids, saying theyre hopeless, ugly, she hates them, etc, you might want to do something. Talk to your parents first, and see what they would do-- they probably know whats best.

theres this like 6th grader that me and some of my friends in my neighborhood see while walking home and they always like call out to him.. i swear its kinda embarassing. he's kind of a popular 6th grade boy and we're like.. middle-popular seventh grade girls. like today.. his name is Justin, one of my friends is like "hey Justice!" and then he went "Hey retards!" and then we tried thinking of good comebacks and cause his hair is really long so it looks like hes a girl and i say something like making fun of his hair.. but i accidentally didnt pronounce "girl" fully so it was like "gir".. haha so embarassing! i need good comebacks incase this ever happens. i swear lol i wish these friends would just shut up sometimes and we'll just mind our own business as hes doing, or think of good comebacks.. like im trying to do. so.. gimme your best shot! :D (link)

i cant take school anymore. its annoying the shit out of me, and its getting harder and harder every day, especially math and science. ive always wanted to go to college and have a good futute but im now beginning to think that all of that doesnt matter anymore since i hate school SOO much. i dont understand ANYTHING in math, and i pay attention too. i fail EVERY quiz and my math grade was a B- last week, so this week's progress report i'm probably gonna get a D. my effed up teacher gives a quiz EVERY week i am not kidding. every week, we have a quiz or test in math and science and in science the questions are so fucking hard, they arent in the science book, they arent on google, they arent anywhere. i just dont know what the hell to do. i dont wanna talk to anyone or my parents or a school councelor or teacher. help me please. Maybe if you didn't waste your time complaining so damn fucking much, you could focus on your schoolwork more. A quiz a week is nothing. So get off your ass, out from in front of the computer, and stop whining. If you can't handle one damn little quiz a week, you're not going to make it very far at all.

13/f ok so i like this boy lets call him T. since 6th grade. and mi friend has like him for 2 years. well she REALLY likes him. so she invited him to a party and he was the only boy tht showed up. and she likes him and he likes her. but i would ask him out before her if i wasn't short and fat and unatractive. kuz i really like him. becauce he is a good student sweet guy and just really nice. shes fianlly gonna ask him out tomorow. what do i? i hate being jealous because he is soooooooooo nice. and i REALLY like him!

okay well my grandparents have a yaht and we jump off the top which is a little ways down into the water and i'm going on it this weekend but i'm almost positive i will have my period which means tampons, which i don't use to many of but would i be able to jump off without it going way up? (link)

Garlic and asparagus. All the way. I know it sounds immensely strange, but it's an extreme turn on. Plus, the lubes have a little bit of a kick to the male's penis. Very nice.

I really want to start some sort of project that i can help orphans. Does anyone know of any organizations in or around Westchester NY???
I am up to doing any sort of project, weather it be like a buddy kind of program (hanging out with orphaned children) or improving orphanages...anyyything.

As we graduate Thompson today, we reflect on the three years of growth and friendship we have experienced as a class. We arrived here in the fall of 2004 from our elementary schools. It didn’t take us long for us to become a family, a class, and not just any class, but the graduating class of 2007. And with the family we have made here, we will continue on our journey into the high school and make a new, bigger family.
Each one of us came from our own small family, our own parent’s arms, to begin our academic careers, in kindergarten. Looking back, elementary school taught me lessons I will keep with me forever, and I am very thankful for such a wonderful first step in my journey. But after those 6 years, we all came to the next step in our journeys, Middle School. What we faced in fifth grade is exactly what we are facing now. New school, new step, new beginning.
I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to experience middle school at such a warm, caring environment as HBT. The 3 years I have spent here have been nothing short of amazing. Through the good times and the bad, Thompson has given me not only knowledge, but the ability to move unto the next chapter in my life. As we progress to the high school, we will forever keep all that Thompson has taught us. We are still learning who we are, but our Thompson family will always be a part of us, that much we do know.
Today marks not an ending, but a beginning. Sure our days at Thompson are over, but our days at not only the high school, but the rest of the world are just getting started. The future is ours.
