Well I'm on my 4th year of puberty and my breats didn't grow at all. Totally flat. Will it stay like that?
I mean, it's been 4 years..
And I never knew before that when your breasts hurt that it's growing so in the past when it did hurt I slept laying on my tummy so maybe that's why? Again, will it grow? (link)
|
breast or mammary growth is determined genetically, it doesn't matter which way you sleep. Look at your mother and the other women in your family it is likely you will develop just as they have.
|
can you wear a tampon while you sleep?
I have a really heavy flow and already had a bad leak while I was sleeping and I don't want to ruin my clothes. I can set my alarm clock and make sure I wake up before having it in eight hours.
Oh and I had a tampon in and a pad underneath and I still got allot of blood on the pad. Did I do something wrong when I put the tampon in? (link)
|
If you have a very heavy flow you are better off to use a tampon and a pad when sleeping and to sleep on a towel. this should protect your sheets. Now the concern regarding the length of time a tampon should remain inside you raises questions about TSS (toxic shock syndrome) read the instructions that come with your tampon (they are all a little different) and see how long a time period they suggest. If you find that your soaking a tampon while you sleep I would recommend using a large wad of toilet paper or paper towels. When you use a tampon you are inhibiting the flow of blood out of your vagina, if the tampon is not absorbing the fluid fast enough then it is pooling inside of you. As the cells in the fluid die they become toxic if left too long in your body this can cause serious and life threatening illness.

I should toothpaste on ym face for acne, mini pimples, and red spots. Sometimes I leave the toothpaste on my face overnight and wash it off when I wake up.
I was wondering if it's ok for my face? Because it has a little burning feeling when I put it on my face.
Just to make sure you know, cuz there was this lady on the news where like have the skin is burned or peeled off on her face cuz she felt her face burn when she put on her acne medicine. She thought that's how it was supposed to feel when actually, her face and skin were actually burning! now her face is scarred for life (link)
|
Putting toothpaste on your skin will not scar you but likely it won't do much else for you either. Toothpaste is an old remedy for a pimple. the burning is caused by menthol in the toothpaste (what gives it its minty flavor) the idea is that applying toothpaste to a pimple will help it to dry out overnight and the menthol will reduce inflamation. However, unless the pimple is very large or oozing the toothpaste will not do much for you. You are better off with an over the counter acne spot treatment containing syalic acid and hydrocortisone

IS there a way to get a pale face or skin? (link)
|
the color of your skin is determined genetically by the amount of pigment in your skin. If you want to keep it as light as possible stay out of the sun and exfoliate often, this will remove dead skin cells and cause the skin to refract more light making it look brighter. to actually lighten your skin you will need to use a bleaching cream. This is unavailable over the counter but asthetiticans in spas often have it as do many dermatologists.

Hi, i read your answers to a question about oily skin...and im wondering why not where foundation? I have very oily skin and zits, and I wear foundation to cover it up. What's so wrong with that? If I don't where it, I look like a geek. (link)
|
You may have oily skin for a number of reasons including but not limited to diet or more likely genetics. By layering on foundation to cover oily skin you are not allowing it to breathe as well as clogging your pores, this will add to the amount of bacteria on your face and your blemishes. Often the more foundation the worse your skin becomes and the more long term damage you do to it. If you are less than 20 or so then you need to think about the long term health of your skin over the immediate need to make your complexion look different. if you are over 20 and you are still experiencing these problems you need to see a doctor, either your regular physician or a dermatologist who can help you take a more proactive stance towards your skin care.

what happens when you eat too many vitamin tablets in one day? i just ate 3 and i wanna eat another becuause they taste so good! lol its the childrens ones.. its kinda like the flinstones tablets but they are kinda bigger. it says to only eat 1 daily though.. what could the side effects be? idk.. (link)
|
Over eating vitamins can actually kill you. for example vitamin a is found in carrots but in excess will cause blindness. if you are eating healthily you shouldn't need vitamins but if you do take them take them only in the recommended dosage.

I know there are lotions that help reduce the appearance of stratchmarks. What creams or lotion could I get from walmart that would work really well?! thanks in advance!!! (link)
|
Once a stretch mark has formed NOTHING will remove it so don't waste your time. Retin A when applied to red or pink stretch marks will diminish their appearance somewhat. Microdermabrasion (sandblasting the skin) a cosmetic procedure performed by a plastic surgeon can also help to diminish them

15/f. i'm not even going to post my weight because i know its in the healthy BMI range and then you guys will just tell me that i don't need to lose weight. and i know i don't need to lose weight, that isn't my question. my quesiton is that even know i'm at a healthy weight range and i know that i'm pretty slim, i still have a little fat near my stomach especially around and below my belly button. and i'm so frustrated because i've been doing over 100 crunches a day, and i run on my treadmill a lot and its still there! for the most part i try to eat healthy, but i know i don't always eat healthy.
also how bad is diet soda for you? because i drink one almost everyday and i want to know how bad it is for me and if i should stop.
thanks! (link)
|
Diet soda is not good for you. Aspertame which is the major ingredient in diet soda has had some ugly stuff happen in lab testing. Further aspertame engages your appetite making you hungry.also diet soda has a lot of sodium in it which causes you to retain water which can bloat you to solve this problem Drink water. second if your doing a hundred crunches a day and not seeing result your not doing them correctly. also, your age may also affect fat placement. you'll find in the next two years your fat deposits may shift giving you those washboard abs of your dreams.

Ok, I'm 5'8, weigh about 138 pounds and am 16 yrs old. I exercise 5-6 days a week and burn about 400+ calories each time I work out.
I'm trying to lose weight, and right about now I'm eating around 800-1,400 (at the absolute most) calories per day. Is that too much? Should I cut out more or add more? I have no idea! (link)
|
While this might not be the answer you were looking for YOUR PERFECT FOR YOU HEIGHT in fact you could gain 5lbs. However if you are determined to lose weight you must eat at least 1500 calories a day. If you eat less than that your body will go into starvation mode and will turn every calorie you eat into fat immediately therefore defeating your purpose. In order to lose weight you must exercise in moderation and eat well, protein, fruit and some complex carbs. NO SUGAR or high fructose corn syrup which also turns directly to fat. Check the labels of the food you eat and good luck

i'm lactose intolerant, so i can't eat anything with dairy. no cheese, no yogurt, no milk.
most of my favorite foods have cheese in them, and i can't eat them anymore. i can't eat mac & cheese, no more pizza, no more cheesecake, or cheese crackers (goldfish/cheesenips), or things like that. i can't even eat ice cream.
i can eat them, but i end up getting sick, and i hate it. what are things i can eat (that appeal to a teenager's taste) & that won't get me sick? (link)
|
while this may sound unappealing you should be able to eat goats milk and you would be suprised that you may like it and find several delicious foods made with it including ice cream TRY IT.

I have very oily skin. It's so bad that I go to the bathroom everyday in school and while I used the restroom I use the toilet paper to *try* to get some of the oil off of my face by dabbing at my oily places. It's embarassing to have oily skin.
So I was wondering if anyone has any tips, home treatments, or product recomendations for me?
Thanks. (link)

if you genetically have very oily skin then little will make much a difference. Rejoice because while your peers get old and wrinkly you will likely retain a youthful glow. Without knowing how old you are it is somewhat difficult to assist. However if you are under 20 DO NOT WEAR ANY TYPE OF MAKEUP I know you want to fit it etc. and I know you think I don't understand but unless you want to do permanent damage to you skin simply wash it your face twice a day with neutrogena acne wash and warm water. other than that leave your skin alone TRUST ME YOU'LL thanks me on your wedding day. If your over 20 head to the doctor and request 2% clyndamycin topical gel this should cut the oil and help inhibit it's production then you a good makeup try Estee Lauder DO NOT USE CHEAP MAKEUP IF YOU HAVE THIS ISSUE and try to avoid foundation.

Are there ne ways to get rid of hunger pains? Like besides eating, that's obvious. I heard chewing gum makes your body think u r eating so u aren't hunger. Is that true? Let me know. Thanks. (link)
|
chewing gum activates your salivary glands and your stomach acid actually making you more hungry. If you are eating a balanced diet then simply drink a glass or two of tepid water. If you are not consuming at least 1200 calories a day EAT.

i wasnt sure where to put this but here it is.. i hate my stomach because like.. since i'm armenian (heritage) i have very dark hair and i feel like the hair on my stomach is noticable.. i just hate it.. what should i do..? (link)
|
First it is likely the only one noticing your hair is you and it is not something to worry about however if it really bothers you and you need to do something to feel more confident you can shave (careful because while hair growing in thicker is an old wives tale you may still see the follicle you cannot remove because a razor only removes hair to the skin's surface and would then have tiny black spots) for this reason I would recommend waxing which is an inexpensive way to remove unwanted hair.

ok so like every couple of months my heart starts 2 hurt like a artery or capillary r whatever they are called, it feels like the blood gets clogged up and it hurts to move/ breath. it used 2 happen alot but know its only like every 2 months..... what is it and should i tell my mom aboout it? (link)
|
TELL YOUR MOTHER IMMEDIATELY, while it might not be something serious anything that affects your breathing should be immediately brought to the attention of a health care provider

Okay well today i got my braces tightened/ajusted.... and they gave me the elastic (rubberband) things.... and i have no clue what they are supposed to do to your teeth... Can someone explain to me what they are supposed to do...??
Thanks! (link)
|
The metal braces have wires that are attached to brackets placed on your back molars. After a while tightening the wire alone will not provide enough pressure to move the teeth. By using the rubber band the tension is increased and the teeth are forced to move again helping to straighten them.

Does anyone know of any tips on relieving a mild-severe sunburn? How long will it take for it to go away? And once the burn is gone, how long will it take for the tan line to fade? Any tips on speeding up the process? Thanks in advance! (link)
|
If the skin is blistered you should see a doctor if the burn is just very red and painful I would recommend cider vinegar which smells awful followed by aloe vera and lidocaine gel. The aloe will soothe and lidocaine is a numbing agent. Further and ibprofen will reduce inflamation. It will take 4-7 days to heal and could take as long as several months for tan lines to fade. I would recommend using fake tanner to even out the tan. ALSO STAY OUT OF THE SUN. when you tan or burn you cause tremendous skin damage that can result in skin cancer, wrinkles, age spots, or hyper pigmentation to name a few. For everyday wear at least SPF 15 and in direct sunlight SPF 50 or greater in direct sun.

How can you tell if you are in love with someone?
Thanks!
(link)
|
being in love is very personal, perhaps the most personal experience you will ever have. However I believe in order to love someone you must first realize that they're not perfect, their imperfections are what makes them unique. Knowing someone's flaws lets you know them and when you know their flaws and still find that your life is better with them in it and you find that their happiness is more important to you than your own, that is love. Love means that your baggage and their baggage go together and you find that you depend on one another to make the load lighter.

first of all, guys may not want to read this question.
so swimsuit season is coming and i shaved my, umm, area down under. i have before i didnt get much razor burn at all but this time it is HORRIBLE! two days since i have shaved and i just noticed the ENTIRE area is red and bumpy and i have seen it before but this time is bad! it looks like a million spider bites, it hurts and itches! how do i get rid of these bumps? it looks like a freaking disease but i know it isn't i never had sex or anything.
please answer fast this is starting to scare me! (link)
|
you have razor burn which is an irritation of the hair follicles in your pubic region. Put 2% hydrocortisone on the bumps twice a day and they should disapear in about two days. If that doesn;t work I would see a doctor.

Alright, so, I have a boyfriend. We've been talking for a year but technically only been together 4 months. It's a very...intense relationship and we've dealt with a lot. Both of us have some depression problems so i don't think it's the healthiest relationship in the world. I think we should break up, or at leat take a long break but I know if i tell him this he'll do something drastic. He has problems with cutting as did I and the last time something like this came up he almost killed himself. I guess part of me is tired of being around guys like this. Anyone have any advice on letting him go without him doing something horrible? (link)
|
The truth is there is no easy answer to this question. What you need to decide is if you really want out or you don't. Sometimes in relationships like yours you want out sometimes and other times it is as if only the two of you can truly understand one another and you can't imagine being without that person. If you want to stay that;s ok you'll leave when your ready. But if you want to go you must realize you are not responsible for your lover. Nothing you do or say can control their behavior. Just make sure you say what you mean and if your lover is a true danger to himself recommend to him that he seek professional help or speak to someone you think might be in a position to help him and discuss your concerns. Keep in mind you are only responsible for yourself but by breaking it off and then going back you are doing damage to both yourself and your lover so make a decision and stick with it even when it hurts.
