Im 17, I started having sex 2 years ago. I now have a different boyfriend and we've been together for a year now. I started taking birth control over the summer and recently we stopped using condoms but I've still been taking my pills. Recently it started to hurt during sex, like a hard pushing or stabbing feeling. Then I started bleeding while having sex and that has only happened 3 times and not every time we do it. Then the pain just kept getting worse and now we haven't had sex in a while because I don't want it to hurt. I've been really worried about it. And now my period is 5 days late. What is wrong with me?
I am not an MD, so I cannot correctly diagnose, however I think that you should make an appointment with an OB/GYN as soon as possible. These things are (not to scare you) but not typically normal. This is something that is abnormal, and something you should ask a doctor about. As cliché as it might sound, just tell your mom you'd like to make an appointment. She'll be more impressed that you're being mature and approaching her about it, than hiding it. All I am trying to do is let you know - you need to get it taken care of. Do it for yourself. Because if something is wrong, you want to make sure it's being fixed or taken care of.
I wish you the best, and hope all is well.
If you need anymore advice, I'm always here.
Best of luck.
I am a reader. I enjoy reading about drug/alcohol abuse, childhood problems, demented things as my librarian puts it. I have read A Child Called "it" and also The Lost Boy by Dave Peltzer. I have read Crank, Burned, and Impluse by Ellen Hopkins. If you have read those books then you know exactly what I am talking about.
I also like books about vampires.
Any book suggestions?
You like all the good ones! I love those as well, they're my favorite.
I suggest you read; Go Ask Alice. It's my favorite book, and I just recommend you read it if you like those types of book. You can visit Amazon.com if you'd like to read a summary.
I also suggest wasted; It's about a woman (true story) who struggles with anorexia, and bulimia. It's quite interesting.
I've yet to read the Ellen Hopkins books, so I'll have to check those out.
I hope I've helped, and you enjoy those books!
I always always get bored while cleaning what can i do to not get so bored???
The 3 Ways I Love To Make Cleaning Fun
---------------
The exact same happens to me! Here are three things I like to do, that help cleaning become easier and a lot more fun!
---------------
1) I just try to drink a caffeinated (thought not healthy) drink to start me off and give me some energy. I prefer a Monster Energy Drink personally. You obviously don't have to do the above, it's just something I do when I need a little boost to get me going. If you don't want to do an energy drink, ORANGE JUICE is a healthy alternative. It has less of the effects, but in turn it's good for you.
2) Something you SHOULD do, is get out a piece of paper and a pen, and break down the cleaning into different activities.
EX; 1. Clean the dishes
2. Organize my closet
3. Fold my clothes
4. Vacuum the living room ... ect.
If you break down this BIG task into little things, as you do each little thing, you can check it off the list, and it makes the once hard to achieve goal, much easier.
3) My last and favorite thing to do is to make a playlist on my iTunes or put in a CD with the most upbeat and/or exciting music I can think of. I pick music that will put me in a good mood, to give me the illusion that cleaning might actually be fun!

I hope that I've helped.
Good luck with the cleaning!
ok this is the same girl who asked about lacrosse tryouts. alright so..this is the closest thing I could find to the stick I have:
http://static.zoovy.com/img/sportstop/W145-H145-Bffffff/B/brine08_whirlp.jpg
(mine's yellow not purple though)
do you think the stick pocket is kind of small? because I CANNOT GET THE HANG OF CATCHING!! ive been practicing on weekends since august and im still not all that accurate in catching, or throwing, now that i think about it. so now im beginning to think its my stick =/
this is my 2nd question. so i went outside this morning and practiced jogging while cradling my (empty) stick. i ran for like less than a minute and my wrists and arms started hurting, and now they're sore. is that normal & will it change as i practice more?
AS for your stick - it looks legitimate to me. I think girls sticks have a little pocket, though it's not very noticeable.
It shouldn't hurt, are you sure you're doing it correctly? It also might change as you do it more, it might be the fact that your body is unfamiliar with those movements.
The sweet spot is where the ball should be before you shoot, the ball should lead straight to this area because the shooting strings will guide it there.
I think for more about the girls lacrosse stick information, you should find out more from a girl in your area who has played the game before. Having verbal help will be a bit easier for you opposed to a bunch of internet advice.
I hope I helped a bit. Anymore questions, don't hesitate to ask! (:
i love like, old songs.
that are fun to dance to.
like songs by a-ha and divo. and stuff.
can anyone name some?
A-Ha Take On Me is one of my favorite!
Tryyy my other favorites;
Always Something There To Remind Me - Naked Eyes
orr
Tainted Love - Soft Cell
Funkytown - Lipps Inc
or a remix to Michael Jackson song
Somebody Watching Me - Beatfreakz
just some suggestions.
hope you enjoy.

lacrosse tryouts are pretty soon and im nervous. ive never tried out for the team before. so for seasoned lacrosse players, what should i expect at tryouts?
thanks
I can tell you no matter what, you need to start cardio workout because having stamina is a necessity in lacrosse. After all, it is the fastest sport on two feet. Having stamina, and being able to run for a long amount of time is vital.
I don't know as much about girls lacrosse as I should, though I might try out next year for my new schools team.. I've watched many a few games and wow, those girls are in shape.
*If you're a beginner
- Besides having stamina, you should also work on stick skills. Such as being able to cradle, and run with the ball.
*If you've played lacrosse in the past
- Get out your stick !NOW! and start working on getting used to having the stick in your hands again. You could try going for a jog with a ball and a stick in your hand. I'm not sure if it's the same for girls lax, but when I played on the guys lacrosse team our coach always told us to go on a jog and cradle at the same time.
Most important at tryout you need to give 110% every day. That means...
- Run to every huddle.
- Run hard on drills.
- Listen and be respectful when your instructor is giving directions or instructions.
- Don't show up on time. Show up early.
- Offer to help put away cones and such, the coaches often like the help.
- Come to tryouts prepared, which could mean checking your bag each night before tryouts to make sure you have all your gear.
- Bring a water bottle, it will be convenient, and you won't have to ask to run to a water fountain.
- Don't complain, prove that you want the spot.
Last note: Don't be cocky, be confident. The coaches are looking for hard workers, but that doesn't mean you should show off if you make a great shot. You also shouldn't kiss your coaches feet, just be respectful, don't be annoying.
COACHES WANT NOTHING MORE THAN A MOTIVATED, HARD-WORKING, PREPARED, and RESPONSIBLE PLAYER ON THEIR TEAM.
I hope I've helped. If you have any more lacrosse questions feel free to ask (:
I wish you the best of luck for your tryouts. I'd love to hear back on how they went!
me and my boyfriend have sex alot and the last few times afterwards i got this gross bubbly thing on the outside of the bottom of my lips, and also he told me it smelled funny i dont know if its an infection or not.
And im going to the clinic on tuesday
and i wanted to get tested for different things such as aids and what not i wanted to know if when they do your checkup they can see what you have and dont have, or if i have to take a test to see if i have hiv or aids and etc
Odds are that it is an STD, but by getting tested you can find out what it may be. If you're eager you can simply 'google' STD's and do your own research to best educate yourself about the sexually transmitted diseases.
Something important to think about; if you have infact recieved an STD, you should not be the only one getting tested. You are sexually active with your boyfriend, therefor he should be tested as well. He may not have the visual symptoms, but he could be a carrier, or maybe not.
It always helps to be as safe and precautious as you can be. Ways such as using a condom, or refraining from oral sex.
I hope I was of some help.
i went tanning today in a tanning bed and when i got home i noticed i had a bruise on my boob.. this was my first time going tanning and i dont remember hitting my boob or anything.. what could this be?
It might have happened to you previously, and you just didn't notice. Sometimes I get bruises on my legs for no apparent reason, and I don't recall ever injuring myself. I wouldn't worry too much, and I hope you enjoyed tanning, and that my advice helped!
when buying hair or makeup products, would it be safe to just get something from a brand youve heard of? l'oreal paris, revlon, neutrogena, etc.
just bc youve seen the ad for some product doesnt necessarily mean theyre good, right? but then they must be to spend that much money on their products.. so im not so sure.
and theres so many products how do you know whats right for you or what will work? i just go to the local rite aid and hope that whatever i get wont be too bad. i dunno. is there another solution than looking up each individual product on amazon and looking for the reviews or buying each different product once and giving them all a try? that would take forever and lots of money.
The best products you will find that are best for your skin, hair and whatever - are the products that have ingredients that you can read.
A common ingredient in shampoo that isn't good is Sodium Laureth Sulfate (?), it's something along the lines of that. It's not good for your hair, but it's hard to avoid in shampoos.
Just try to read the ingredients, and if you can say most of them, or if the list is shorter the product is better for you.
If you want help from someone who knows what they're talking about, You should go to Sephora and have them help you decide which is best for your skin type. Some of it will be very expensive - but it will be worth it later when you know you have the makeup that best suits you.
Best of luck shopping!
I'm in 8th grade and out promotion is coming up to go to 9th grade. I really want to get a cute dress but I don't know wear to get them. But it has to be decent, my parents wouldn't let me wear anything that is showing a lot of skin. Like the length would have to be at least to my knee. Also has to have sleeves. If you can send me links with pictures and wear to get them it would be awesome! Thanks!
You should check out Forever21.com or Wetseal.com, they have affordable and adorable dresses. They also have other cute dress alternatives. Good luck shopping! (:
anyone know any songs from the show ?
can you give me names and artists please :)
& it doesnt matter what seasons its in
i just want a playlist of the shows songs.
thanx

I found that. Hope it helps. (:
I have huge crush on this guy. I'm in 8th grade and 13/f. He talks to me a lot and every time we get new seating arrangements he always ends up sitting behind me. He pulls me hair and jokes around a lot too. I don't know what you would consider flirting though. But he talks to me about random things. We have some stuff in common so far that I know of. I wish he would ask me out, of course almost every girl would but if he ever did I might say no because of embarrassment. What do you think I should do? And by any chance do you think he might like me? I have 3 classes with him and 2 of them he talks to me. But of course he talks to other girls to but not a lot. Thanks so much!
I'm sure you wanted to hear something brilliant, but I'm going to just come right out and say the most obvious.. you might as well just as the boy to hangout. Maybe to a movie, or for bowling perhaps? I'm not sure what you guys are interested in, but you could as him to hangout, and see where that takes you. You never know what he'll say until you ask, and if you don't ask - you'll always wonder. Best of luck! (:
About 5 days ago, my boyfriend and I had sex. We used a condom, but when we were finished, we noticed it had slipped off and was still inside of me. I immediately pulled it out of me but my boyfriend says it was empty. And I know my boyfriend ejaculated, he said he did. However, I've been on birth control for about 2 years and I also took an emergency contraceptive, "the morning after pill" about 4 hours after we had sex. The pill I took was called Plan B and required me to take 2 pills. One immediately, and one 12 hours later, which I did. Lately, I have been feeling extremely nervous and hungry, even after I have just eaten my stomach feels empty again. Also, my heart beats appears to be beating faster lately. I am not supposed to get my period for another 2 and a half weeks either, so I cannot take a pregnancy test any time soon. But my question is, how likely is it that I am pregnant? The condom also had spermicide on it by the way. Please help! I'm 17/f.
I first of all would like to applaud you for being so cautious with all of this, most kids are not.
You used 2 forms of birth control (being the birth control itself, and the condom), along with the emergency contraceptive - and the odds are slim to none that you're pregnant. You're pretty much guaranteed to not be pregnant after taking plan B.
If you're still worried in 4 weeks you can go to the doctor, but I assure you due to your cautiousness, odds are you're not pregnant.
I would like to say 100%, but then I'd be lying, so I'll have to go with 99%.
I hope I've helped. Also, in four weeks you should go to the doctor for the checkup if you're still very unsure. But I wouldn't worry, because you've been very cautious and you've used more than one form of birth control.
I hope I was helpful & best of wishes.
19/f - I am in serious need of advice. :(
I've been hanging out with my older brother's friends for about 3 years now. My brother is 25 and his friends range from 21-27.
One of my brother's friends has a New Years Eve party every year, and I always go. I've always liked one of his friends, "B", who is 24 now and we've finally got to know each other. I really think he likes me as well. :]
Well, 2 days after the party, "B" and some of my brother's other friends asked me to hang out. It was already 11:30PM and my mom gave me a real hard time about going, but I ended up going anyway.
After that, I decided to tell my brother and dad about "B". My brother is, I'm guessing, upset with me about hanging out with "B" and hasn't spoken to me since the 5th. My dad is uncomfortable with "B" being 24. My mom is really upset about the whole thing as well because she thinks me hanging out with "B" is gonna ruin everything.
The thing is, me and "B" really have a lot in common and I really like him a lot. I've secretly hung out with him three times since then, because if I told my family where I was going, they probably wouldn't let me.
I've told practically EVERYONE I know about the situation and nobody thinks it's a big deal AT ALL. Just my family.
I have no idea what to do. I just got done talking to my mom about some things, and she basically hates me right now. She said I'm turning into someone she doesn't like. But it's like, I'm 19 and it's my life, why can't I just do what I want and date who I want?
This really isn't fair. I'm at the point where I just don't care anymore, and I'm gonna see "B" when I want. Why are the only people who don't approve have to be my family? Please help. It's got to the point where I doubt it matters what I say, they're never gonna be happy with it, so why not just do what I want and show them that nothing bad is going to happen and that they're blowing this way out of proportion? I don't know, PLEASE HELP. :'[
I dated a guy who was older than myself, and my parents didn't approve at first. Neither did my older brother or sister. My dad was practically furious that he was 3 years older than myself. I was so frustrated, and didn't know how to go about the situation.
I finally told them "If you really love me, you'd want me to be happy, I've finally found someone I truly like, and I'd appreciate support from the people I love most" and it took them a little bit, but they finally agreed with me, and got along with him great. It was a little odd for my brother at first, but he realized there wasn't much he could do.
They say that I was happy, and they were happy too. I think you just have to tell them how important it is, and that you really like him.
It's not easy to do, but you have to stand up for yourself if you really do like him, and think it'll go somewhere.
I hope I helped somewhat, just here sayin' I know how that goes, and support is here if ya need it.
Good luck with the situation (:
I am a high school student who would later like to major in French. I was wondering about what jobs I could pursue. There doesn't seem to be a lot besides teaching and being a translator/interpreter. Does anyone have any ideas?
I appreciate all the advice you can give me. Thanks! =]
You might want to become a translator, or possibly earn a internship in France where you're immersed in the language. You should check out the internship thing. Hope I helped.
im going to get my ears pierced (3rd holes)
if i just go to claires to get them done do i need a parent to sign something?
im 17 btw.
If you're over 16, you do not need parental consent. You only need parental consent if you are getting a tattoo, and sometimes consent doesn't even work. Depends on the place you go to.
But yes, you can go in and they'll pierce it for you.
I have an interview at Abercrombie tomorrow. I've never been on an interview before, so im really nervous. I also don't know if its ok to wear jeans or not. Ive been getting mixed reviews from people. So, yes or no on the jeans and does anyone have any advice?? Has anyone applied there themselves? Thanks.
Did you apply or did they ask you to apply? If they offered you the opportunity, wear something similar to what you wore when you were asked - Abercrombie Employees are often picked for their style and looks, basically they picked you for a reason.
If I were you, I'd go in wearing something similar to what you were wearing if they asked you, you start wearing their clothes when you start working there.
If you applied, and you're now getting interviewed you should just wear something that you normally wear, and try and avoid wearing their brand. That includes Hollister haha.
I hope this helped somewhat. GOOD LUCK!
15/female
I'm asian, with glasses [but i have contacts, & everybody says i look good with glasses], i am a tiny bit overweight. not huge, but just like a little baby fat. My hair is black, with sidebangs. My friends have been trying to find me a boyfriend but most of them say no, and i think it's because i'm unattractive to them.
So does anybody have any tips for me so i can like..makeover myself? Thanks!
You're beautiful as your are, and you should find a guy who really likes you for who you are. I know that it's cliche, and it's not what you want to hear, but not all guys are shallow. When they start to see your personality, a good guy will come along and treat you right. And honestly - guys often come out of nowhere when you're not looking.
If you want, fix things you don't like about yourself, not what other people don't like about you. It's your body, and you need to be comfortable with yourself before anyone else is comfortable with you.
Hope I helped.
okay i'm on the pill and i normally take my pill within the same hour everyday since i'm supposed to take it around the same time everyday. my friend told me that i have to take it at the same time within like 2 minutes everday. if i take it within the same hour is that bad?
It's not necessarily the best thing,
you should set an alarm on your phone for the same time everyday so that you remember to take it at exactly the right time. I suggest you start an alarm, and begin taking it at exactly (give or take a few minutes) the same time everyday.
Wat does a preppy guy mean or girl
"preppy" is a generalization, it's a name given to a clique. It's often associated with people who wear polos, and or brand names. They're typical stuck up, and care a lot about their appearance. Again this is just a stereotype, and not all the above are always true. Commonly people refer to girls who wear Abercrombie & Hollister as "preppy". Again this is just a socially created a label for a group of people, there isn't a right answer, this is just what "preppy" is to the best of my knowledge.
Hope this is helpful.
