CrayolaJenn210 answered Thursday January 10 2008, 2:36 am:
"preppy" is a generalization, it's a name given to a clique. It's often associated with people who wear polos, and or brand names. They're typical stuck up, and care a lot about their appearance. Again this is just a stereotype, and not all the above are always true. Commonly people refer to girls who wear Abercrombie & Hollister as "preppy". Again this is just a socially created a label for a group of people, there isn't a right answer, this is just what "preppy" is to the best of my knowledge.

Hope this is helpful.
