(mine's yellow not purple though)
do you think the stick pocket is kind of small? because I CANNOT GET THE HANG OF CATCHING!! ive been practicing on weekends since august and im still not all that accurate in catching, or throwing, now that i think about it. so now im beginning to think its my stick =/
this is my 2nd question. so i went outside this morning and practiced jogging while cradling my (empty) stick. i ran for like less than a minute and my wrists and arms started hurting, and now they're sore. is that normal & will it change as i practice more?
Additional info, added Saturday January 19 2008, 9:41 am: WAIT i actually found my stick on the internet lol :] so ignore the above stick. this is really mine:
oh yeah lol one more question..
ive been reading lacrosse articles on the internet and some of them emphasize this idea of a "sweet spot" which i was guessing is the place on the stringing where the ball is before a shot. so im wondering where exactly is the sweet spot?. It shouldn't hurt, are you sure you're doing it correctly? It also might change as you do it more, it might be the fact that your body is unfamiliar with those movements.
The sweet spot is where the ball should be before you shoot, the ball should lead straight to this area because the shooting strings will guide it there.
I think for more about the girls lacrosse stick information, you should find out more from a girl in your area who has played the game before. Having verbal help will be a bit easier for you opposed to a bunch of internet advice.
