about

I'm just some girl. I don't really stand out much unless I'm on a stage. I'm not loud unless I get angry. And I don't love unless its proven to me first. I've been hurt almost beyond repair by people I've loved and trusted. But I can only grow from that. I live my life by my own accord. I love my parents more than anything, they have given me an amazing home to grow up in, someplace I want to come back to. I have a boyfriend who has been my best friend for a long time, he's helped me get through a lot. We've been each other's rock when times got hard.

I have my dreams and aspirations, and while some may not come true... the most important things is to know I've tried my hardest. I trust my intuition more than I trust any living person. My gut has never failed me, but unfortunately, I have failed it.

Someone once told me that I don't live in the "real world", that I live in a box - fortunately for that person, they never lived my life. My life is real to me, and me alone. I've been through a lot... I've been hurt, I've laughed.. I've seen life, and death... tears of sadness and tears of joy. I've felt every emotion known to man. Hatred, Love, Sadness, Joy, Ultimate Bliss, Anger.. So don't judge me until you actually get to know me. There's more to me than just about anyone knows. Even my closest of friends.

I'm the "Dear Abby" of all of my friends.

advice

Hi, I'm the one who asked 4 song suggestions for an alto girl. The show that I am auditioning for is Wizard of Oz. If u have any suggestions of songs I could use 4 my audition it would be a great help! Thx bunches!

Well the most obvious choice that I personally would choose is "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" unless thats not the part you want. Whichever character you desire, listen to their song from the show, and try to find a song from either a disney movie or another broadway show that sounds similar (so you can show off your vocal range and whatnot.) Other suggestions for songs are: A Whole New World (Aladdin), any song from Jekyl and Hyde (a musical with amazing music)... and perhaps even music from the musical The Wiz (which is the more funked up version of the Wizard of Oz).

I hope this helped, darlin. Break a leg and let me know how things turn out.

I am pretty actively involved in musical theater and have an audition coming up soon! For my audition, I need 2 sing a song, but the problem is, I am having trouble finding a good song 4 my voice. Does any1 have any song suggestions for an alto girl? (Broadway or Disney songs are preferred most by the directors, but I'm willing 4 other suggestions 2!) Thanks all!!

I have been active in musical theatre for quite a long time. And picking a song to sing for an audition is always the hardest part of pre-audition prep. However you can do one of two things:
1. A lot of directors like to hear their auditionees sing a song from the production that is going up. It gives them a more outright view of their choices for leads and whatever.
2. You can choose a song that is similar to the music that is in the show that you are auditioning for.

Since I do not know what show you are doing.. I can't give you a name for a song yet. Leave me a message and I will get back to you with it... If not, then break a leg at your auditions.
