Question Posted Thursday August 5 2004, 1:06 am

Hi, I'm the one who asked 4 song suggestions for an alto girl. The show that I am auditioning for is Wizard of Oz. If u have any suggestions of songs I could use 4 my audition it would be a great help! Thx bunches!

Maybe give some free advice about: Theater?

SammyPie answered Thursday August 5 2004, 2:03 am:
Well the most obvious choice that I personally would choose is "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" unless thats not the part you want. Whichever character you desire, listen to their song from the show, and try to find a song from either a disney movie or another broadway show that sounds similar (so you can show off your vocal range and whatnot.) Other suggestions for songs are: A Whole New World (Aladdin), any song from Jekyl and Hyde (a musical with amazing music)... and perhaps even music from the musical The Wiz (which is the more funked up version of the Wizard of Oz).

I hope this helped, darlin. Break a leg and let me know how things turn out.
