I'm sorry, first of all. I've noticed since I've been on this, that I say, talk about it with the other person alot. It's a good thing...but in this position, I don't want an argument to start up.
It's completely understandable that you DONT WANT to make a new best friend. And it's jealousy that is also coming over you as well...with Bethany. It's normal.
I do want you to start talking to Ashley about this problem, but instead of flat out saying it...ease into the whole situation...days at a time. Don't put it all on Ashley at first, because she'll get confused...and start fighting with you. Ashley most likely doesn't understnad what she is doing to you, because as a best friend...she wouldn't do anything to hurt you.
I want you to first mention some things about how you feels to her. Ease into the situation enough for her to get the clue of what she is doing. She should then start realixing, when you see that. Tell her everything you feel. With a best friend, you have to be completely honest, because have a bestfriend, means having another part to your family and heart.
Be sweet, like I am sure you are. Be honest, and do not beat around the bush. Let me know how it goes hunnie.

HEY! Ok here is my PrObLeM!!! Im 17 almost 18 now but when i was like in 15 a really rude kid picked on me told me i was ugly n fat and stuff, and to most people its like Fuck him whatever! haha But to me it really HURT! Like to this day i have ZEROOOO self confidence! And last night i went out and met some of my boyfriends friends and their girlfriends! and i was just really DEPRESSED! they were these tan, skinny, BEAUTIful girls that had low cute shirts on, that showed all theie stomach, and low jeans and stuff and i just wanted to cry! like i dont think im UGLY, but i cant feel good about myself around people...like idont wanna be around people who in my eyes are perfect because then i concentrate on all my flaws, and see how perfet they are....My boyfriend reassures me all the time how pretty and stuff i am but i just cant feel or see it and i dont know what to do....do you have any advice, it would be great! xoxo

Well..I've just spent and hour looking through all of your wonderful photogenic pictures. You're absolutely beautiful, I don't know what you are talking about. Ya know...I'm sized the same way you are. Your body looks exactly like mine. We aren't anywhere near being fat, but we aren't those skin tight girls. I know how that feels sweetheart. When I'm around people like that, I lose it sometimes. I just have to break away and leave. Ya know?
Well...recently, I've been in your shoes. I wanted to look like that, so I got the Winsor Palaties (Or whatever) I love doing them, they are fun and also relaxing. I've also started eating right. Not the fat junk food. I run and walk every single day. Run in the morning and walk at night. I've been doing this for about a month, and I've seen some changes, such as my stomach and legs. But no hips, I think I'm naturally big boned, ya know? I have to except my self either way. That's how god made me, and I'm gonna have to stick with that. Now, if you wanna talk to me away from here that's great (like you did today, but I was busy, I'm sorry) We'll stick together and do work out logs together if you want. I've found if I have somebody that does it with me, that is in my same shoes, I feel better about myself and doing the activities. Well...babe...I know this is getting long, so I'll let you go. I've been friends with this girl heather for about a year or so now...she's a good friend, dont get me wrong, but all summer she has been ditching me and my other friends for her family..i know she's busy with diving and everything but whenever we ask her to hang out she usually says sure and then blows us off to go hang out with her family. she was rude to her boyfriend and drug him out to visit her relatives whenever they were supposed to have alone time and it interfered with their relationship and they are now just "friends" I really don't know how to tell her she needs to come out with us instead of the family without hurting her feelings... what should i do? Well...sometime...she has to spend time with her family. I don't think you really understand that. I think it's really really cute how she let him go with her to see her relatives..but I mean if it did interfere with their relationship, because one time they didn't get alone time. They weren't meant to be. Maybe there is something go on in her family..that you guys don't know. You need to let her spend that time with her family, because It's Family. Maybe...if you feel really really strongly about it, you need to tell her, hey...can we just have like a day together. Try that, and see if you can figure out something that might be going on. Either way, be there for her as much as you can, and respect what she does...because she probably respects what actions you make.

Your friend Chantal isn't a very good friend considering she can't keep your secrets. What has probably happened...is lately you've told somebody something, and the word has gotten around to all of your friends, but since us girls are stubborn and like to do stupid things...we change the story as it travels. We add onto things, especially around your age. You need to tell Chantal and all of your other friends that you dont know what is going on. That you have no idea what you did....and if they say something you didn't do...then they aren't very good friends.

My friends aren't acting like friends to me lately. We all used to be one group and now its breaking off in smaller groups. One of the smaller groups went to the mall. I don't mind them going to the mall together, but when they go 20 minutes after i ask them if they are doing anything. And when they go with 2 other people and dont bother inviteing me, Then puting it all in there away messages, profiles, and talking about what happened in front of me. Then i get pissed. I am trying to seperate myself from them, but i tried that and it creates more of a problem. I want to explode. But i cant, I just started highschool and i am trying to make new friends. ( not working out well) so if i break myslef completly off then i will be a outcast and be alone. I don't know what to do. Please help.

Don't worry if it is long or not, we are all here to help. The reason is very simple why everybody is going in all different directions...you said it yourself. You just started high school. All of your close middle school friends, will not move onto more high school related people. Such as SO, JR and SR. There is one thing that you don't want to worry about though. Being an outcast or all alone. That doesn't happen in high school. Everybody knows somebody, and everybody is friends with somebody. You're friends are going through changes..just like you. You have to start meeting new people, just like they are a little bit. It'll be hard, trust me...but only hang out with those a little bit, since they are treating you so badly. Since both of you are best friends, it's going to be hard to get along sometimes because of the simple fact that you guys are best friends. It'll be tough, but both of you guys need to stop fighting like children. Ya'll need to sit down, and have a mature conversation about it without any fighting. If you both of to write down your feeligns about the argument on a peice of paper then give it to eachother that'll work...then talk about it. You'll soon find out that it was a really dumb fight,and that it isn't worth loosing a friendship over.

Hi Alicia im 13 and im in a rilly confusing situation...Well ive been best friends with this rilly sweet girl since about January of this year..were great and all except when it comes to guys.....She absolutely HATES it when i talk to guys that she knows because i have gone out with like 2 of her past boyfriends...She told me about how it bugs me when iwas at her house once a while back when i talk to "Her" guy friends on the computer...ive tried to tell her that it hurts when she says stuff like that or acts like she doesnt trust me with those guys or something....But latelty theres this guy chris that were both friends with and she helped me meet...She told him stuff about how he shouldnt go out with me(bc he likes me) and a lot of other stuff i heard from him that makes me feel thatshes not a true friend to me and she gets really pissed at me when i talk on the phone with him and asks all these questions..and everytime im on the phone with him she wants him to 3-way her..Ive always wanted to talk to her about it but i hate it when she gets mad bc shes -SUPER-sensitive and has a very extreeeeeme attitude...its really complicated...BUt if you have any advice at all that you can give me, please please please do...Id *REALLY* appreciate thankyou SO much you seem soo sweet (link)

What's going on girlfriend? Alright...here's the spill on your friend. I think it's great that you have had that friend, but she sounds like she is trying to start something that mostly happens in middle school, or around your age...that is Using. She might not be "using" you nessesarly...but...she helped you meet this guy, now she is talking behind your back, which is wrong. There is no excuse for anybody to talk about you behind your back...even if it is the smallest thing, such as "Don't go out with Alicia." Now...tell me how stupid this sounds for her to do this..."I helped you meet Alicia, but don't go out with her." Umm, doesn't make much sence does it? Unfortunatly...no.
You are going to date some of her past boyfriends, because you two are friends and obviously have pretty good taste together, so you're probably going to date the same guys.
This is what I think about Chris and your friend and yours conflict. Have you ever thought that she might like him? She might, but can't admit it to you, because she thinks she is the bigger one in the friendship. Even though she is sensitve...you still said she has a big attitude. She thinks she is the one that can get away with everything...so what you have to do, is STAND YOUR GROUND. She might cry, and she might snap back at you...but think about the background and all that she has done. Think deeply into it, and get her back. CAll her on the phone and say...WE have to talk. You have raise your voice a little too, so she knows you really mean it. Tell her, that when you talk on the phone with Chris it's your time w/ him. She needs to call him on her own terms. You'll learn a lot around your age..you'll learn very very much. And what you need to do through all of middle school and high is to stand your ground, and stand up for what you believe in. Well...This question all depends on the age.
If you are 10-13 I would maybe watch a funny movie, or have a sleep over, and during the day be loud. You can't get in trouble during the day for being loud.
If you are 14-16 I would maybe take all of your friends to your mall, and have a good time just shopping and cutting up. Then, maybe going back to your house and having a little dance party or something.
If you're any older than that, then...I have no idea. Hehe! :) I hope I helped...just be creativE! :)

Hmm...Many many different way. Maybe talking to them, exchanging phone numbers or screennames. Maybe going out from some lunch. Depends on the way ya'll like to do things such as hobbies. Do stuff together you both like. If you don't like a lot of the same things, make up something to do that both of you enjoy. Such as shopping (for a girl) or playing some kind of sport (for guys) I hope I helped!

Well...a lot of people have this problem that's for sure. So did I a while back. You need to talk to your best friend about your feelings for eachother in a mature manner, ya know? Then, you both need to agree on if you do break up that both of you would not break the friendship as well. It wouldn't be worth it. If that person disagrees then of course you need to say no, but most likely he/she will agree and you can say yes and explore your good friends feelings on a different level. I hope I helped

Ya, I think you would know that feels, but you have to understand that she's going through a lot right now. She won't want to believe anybody, cause she's trying to stay on "her" side...say as if I knew how guys cheat...then my friend was like, i dont know i dont know...you just have to understand that she's having very mixed feelings. Try to remember how your feelings were when you were going thorugh what she is going though...confusion. You just have to be there for her, and listen and all of it will soon pass. Hope I helped
