Hey my names Chrissabelle and I love giving advice. I always have. Most of my friends call me Chrissie but really like to be called anything. Well... :p I really would like to be a psycologist when I get older. I love listening to other people, I've always been a good listener and I love to help people to the best of my abilities. I love being with family, hanging out with friends, ice skating, and tennis. I also love to laugh and have fun. Who doesn't? Honestly I just am a really happy person although I can come off really serious to people who don't know me which really sucks. I haven't been answering advice for a few weeks because of numerous reasons but now I'm back and so glad to be able to help everyone again. I really hope I can guys =) That's about it so ask me anything, anytime you need advice and I'll try to help you as best I can!

I have A's in English, History, and Art. My problem is in Pre-Calculus and Physics. I'm in 10th grade.
I feel really RETARDED when it comes to doing work in those classes.
I'm taking all Honors too, and I would drop out and take easier classes but unfortunately it's too late for that now.
I have gotten F's and D's on all my Pre-Cal tests, and we've only had one test in Physics and on that I got a 28%!! I couldn't believe myself and I had stayed awake ALL NIGHT studying. I don't know if cramming is the problem but sometimes cramming is the only solution as I'm busy with the other classes. I don't know...
Basically:
- I don't understand what the frick any of my teachers are talking about in Physics & Pre-Cal, it's gotten to the point where I've given up trying to figure it out and pay attention.
-I've been tutored a LOT - but still no help.
-Every math type of problem I do, I get stuck on it and need someone to guide me through. I think my main problem is self-learning and becoming an independent thinker
-Because I'm often busy I only get to study for tests a night or do before them.
-Teachers love to give pop quizzes, and since I always end up studying night before the test, I fail these too!
I need help and to prove to myself that I'm not stupid.....and that I just need to work harder. I tell myself this but HOW MUCH HARDER CAN I WORK?
Something must be wrong. I even talked to the teachers and they're just like, "Oh just practice more," - that's all I friggen do!
My report looks like this (although, it's 3/4 towards the end, midterm grades can bring you up one grade point)
English: A
Art: A
History: A
Pre-Cal: D
Physics: C
I'm just pissed and need some genuine advice and tips to help me get A's on math & science tests so I can bring up my grades.
Thanks so much guys!!
Love,

Hey. Well first of all I'd like to say that you're NOT retarded. Math and science (or algebra and biology as I take now, since I'm a freshman) are the subjects I have to work hardest at. Just recently I've found that you're either good at math and science or history and english and you just proved my point. No matter who I meet it's either they're really good at math and science and hate english and history or the opposite like us. It's very rare to find someone who's good at all of them. I guess the brain just works out this way. So what I would do for pre-cal and physics is to just try and go over it whenever you have free time. If you're thinking of watching t.v. just think, hey I've really got to work on these two subjects. Also, (I'm not saying this to offend you, we all go through it =)) maybe you're not studying the way that would help you most. Are you just quickly skimming over the stuff for hours hoping it sticks in and then getting frustrated or do you seriously look over the stuff for hours until you really understand it. Sometimes this is what you have to do. Unfortunately :/. Also, I would try to ask your teachers if they could help you out after school. I know in my school teachers stay after on certain days to help kids who don't get the stuff. They'll be really glad you're willing to work at it and a lot of times they become more leanant towards you when they see you're willing to work hard. It will be hard and boring at first but I'm sure you'll get it soon. And you're NOT retarded if you're in all honors classes. You had to have gotten there somehow =). Oh and wish me luck for next year! Lol. I really hope this helped and good luck! =)

OK, well, I have this odd problem where when I do my homework, it's pretty hard for me to concentrate. If I hear the tiniest noise, I can't work at all. My parents have gave me earplugs, but I feel totally dorky and that there must be another way. Any ideas?
P.S. My family is LOUD, and I can't get them to be quiet.

Hey. I'm the exact same way a lot of the time whether it's a car outside or just the slightest noise. You probably feel really frustrated because you have to wear earplugs but in the long run you'll feel proud of yourself that you found a solution. I wish I had earplugs and it's not dorky and especially not when you get really good grades which is amazing in the long run. Also, you can go to a library which may be quieter and like get dropped off there. I really hope this helped and good luck! =)

tryouts for high school cheerleading start soon. if any of you are cheerleaders already ; could you please let me know what exactly i should know to have a shot at making it?? I`m currently attending tumbling classes trying to master my back handspring && back tuck.. if that helps any. thank you in advance. (link)

Hey. I'm not a cheerleader but I remember at my old school all everyone kept practicing for tryouts was splits. And I think you need to know like a back and front handspring, a handstand, tucks (like you said =)) and like hurky's (may be spelt wrong). Pretty much you just have to be able to do flips and stuff like that. I really hope I helped and good luck with your tryouts!

About two months ago, my two friends asked my friend and I (we're two freshman) if we would like to room together on this trip we were going to. 4 people per room. The trip is now in 2 months, but we're signing up for rooming now, and today one of the friends that asked me told me that they couldn't room with us because she didn't realize that other people were going. So now my friend and I are roomateless, and we know we're going to be roomed with people in younger grades, or people we don't really like that much. We also aren't really looking forward to going, because the department we're going with kind of have their own groups, and so since my friend and I are the only freshman who really do waht the department is, we're kind of on our own. And it's going to be really awkward because we'll just be by ourselves a lot. And I'm just so mad, like I don't even really want to go anymore because it's going to be so awkward. And I can't really yell at the friends who ditched us because they're so much older then us they will just laugh. Like I can just see us on the trip eating lunch by ourselves, or with the younger crowd. shopping by ourselves, awkwardly not talking to any of the older people because they're older and have their group. I don't know what to do PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me!!!!! I want to go, but I don't want to be in this SITUATION I HATE IT!!!!!! (link)

Hey. Don't feel so down since you and your friend are at least going to be together. Sometimes it's better when there's just two people and not a big group because it makes it easier to do what you want to do on the trip rather than having so many different opinions about what you're going to do. I bet you'll both have a great time and it will be a lot of fun! And if you do get roomed with younger kids that's okay because you and your friend have eachother and I bet the younger kids feel the same way about you guys as you feel about the older kids on the trip. The youngsters will probably stay out of your way because they'll be intimidated by you or you can be nice to them and you and your friend will still have a really fun time! Also, I wouldn't be so paranoid about the older kids because they're probably going to be glad there's some younger kids on the trip. You said the people that said they couldn't go were older too so just try to be sociable and if they're nice, the older kids will be happy that they have new freshman friends. I really hope this helped and good luck! You and your friend will have a great time! =)

I really want to become a nurse when I grow up. I am very fascinated with the field, and what they do. I know so much about medicine, human anatomy, and other things. But I am doing so horribly in my Chemistry and Biology classes. I don't get a lot of it, and I know I would need to learn it in order to become a nurse.
I know Biology is partly on human anatomy but that's not what I am doing horribly on. Just generally on other stuff. And chemistry, I don't get anything in that class, and it frustrates me.
Does anyone have any tips to excel in these areas so I can better my chance of being a nurse? (link)

Hey. If you're really interested in the medical field than you have a great chance of becoming a nurse no matter what. Although, you're right, Chemistry and Biology are important so I would try talking to the teacher about getting extra help if you really want to make this career happen. I'm currently taking Bio and I know how confusing it can get! But it's like anything. Once someone explains these things to you you'll have a better understanding and it will better your career. I really hope this helped and good luck! =)

please read.. isn't as long as it looks..
I'm going to another school [i've posted like a million questions about this stuff, lol.. but this ones different.
I'm having second thoughts.
Like, what I'm making a bad decision?
& my mom keeps saying, really think about this hayley..& i mean up to this moment ive felt like i most deff. should go.
I mean, if you lost your friends, because your not going to the same highschool as them, & they decide your not good enough.. well you'd leave too.. right?
[i go to a private school, & there gonna go to a private school, but im going to the public.. (they think public schools are full of juveniles with purple hair, & pyscho people)]
Anyways, I tried hanging out with other people. But, like I fit perfectlyyy with the people I hung out with. like If it was a puzzle, & I was a piece, then like.. i'd be perfect in that puzzle.
That was queer? but it was an analogy.. or whatevs.
Anyways, I just think itd be best for me.. i'd be prepared for highshool too. like.. i'd make new friends.. get used too it.. & stuff. & i have friends there..
& i can't stand looking at my old friends anymore. it like makes me upset. like i'm always on the verge of tears. & there is like what.. 4 months or something left of school..
should i stay? & have no friends & be on the verge of tears everyday? or should i switch schools.. with the risk of not having many friends, but not having to worry about seeing the old ones?
oh, & if you go to public, & when you get a new kid.. they make friends pretty quick, right?

Hey, well right now you obviously feel very torn in between two worlds. Those old friends of yours are definitely not good friends if they're making fun of you for going to a public school. I've went to public school my whole life up until this year (for high school) and I love my new school. But, there's really not too much difference and not everyone has purple hair and everything. It sounds like they have a bad idea of what public school is like. I mean yeah there are the occasional people like that but they could turn out to be incredibly nice. They're kids just like you no matter what. I would try the new public school where you might meet a lot of friends. I kind of did the opposite and it worked great, I've met so many nice people that are like the best friend I met in public school. This may happen to you and you'll be so busy with new friends you won't have to see those old ones at all. I bet you'll meet a lot of new people at your own public school rather than having to transfer far away and leave your town because of those jerks. I really hope this helped and good luck! =)

Hello! Just about every morning I'm excited to get up and go to school (I'm a grade ten in highschool). When I am sitting in ANY class I'm just thinking about how happy I am to be around other people. I'm popular, but there's SO much girly drama so I rarely go out anymore.
I'm afraid that this will change when I go to university. Will I still be able to socialize in university? Any advice/insight is greatly appreciated.
Thanks! =) (link)

Hey. Yup I'm sure that you'll be able to socialize. I know many universities have parties and fun events. You'll still have a lot of fun and socialization (if that's a word). I really hope this helped =)
