Just your average nice girl next door. Married the love of my life at 24, widowed at 29.

I love cats and sailing and get to the beach as often as I can.

www.thefifteendollarstore.com

and ebay - search for your size, style and price range! and you can pick new w/tags or gently worn.

I am going to Club Paris in Orlando, Florida on Sunday, June 18th. And I'd like to know if any of you know good stores in the Mall that would have good clothes for me to wear. Like I want to wear a low-cut cami type shirt and maybe a skirt, I'm really unsure, what would you wear? Any Suggestions for what I should wear, or good stores? (link)
That sounds like the perfect thing to wear... add some pretty sandals and you'll look great. btw - it is super hot in FL already, but take some type of light jacket/cardigan. When you go inside some places they have the a/c cranked way down and you end up freezing!

This question has been asked alot, but mine's a bit different. I need a dress for my 8th grade dance, it needs to be nice, somewhat dressy, bun not like, dressy dressy like a prom or anything.. if that makes sense =\

Any websites with cute AND affordable dresses? (link)
Last time you gave me a horrible rating and said "i don't like to buy dresses on ebay"

Well... you should try it! There are plenty that are brand new with the tags still on them and incredible prices. I just got a brand new with tags Tommy Bahama dress for $29 - and it's $128 in the stores.

Remember just because you don't like the advice - doesn't mean it's wrong or bad!

(Sorry, i thought you were the same person from before) Thank you

one of my abercrombie skirts keep shrinking, and when I mean shrinking i mean getting shorter. The skirt isnt hemmed at the bottom. Any suggestions on washing it? (link)
wash in cold water and hang it up to dry.

I am 20. When I was almost 15, I was a bridesmaid in my only sister's wedding. I didn't really want to be, as my sister and I don't get along, but she wanted me in her wedding because it's "traditional" to have your sister as a bridesmaid. As a bridesmaid, I was outfitted with a butt-ugly uncomfortable dress to wear. After the ceremony was over, I promptly gave it to Goodwill.

Periodically since then, my sister has asked for the dress back, claiming she wants to borrow it herself or loan it to a friend. I have never had the nerve to tell her what I did with the dress and have always claimed I "lost" it. The question came up again recently and my sister kind of exploded and demanded to know how the dress could have been "lost" for nearly six years. She actually went to my room and began digging through my dresser drawers and closet (without my permission), trying to find the dress. I told my mother about it all later and confessed what had really happend to the dress and she was horrified that I had given it away.

This is really a two-prong question:

1. Was it wrong for me to give away the dress? I was under the impression that it was mine to do as I liked with -- no one indicated that it was only on loan -- and I had no use for it. I always give away possessions I don't want anymore, it was not a reflection on my sister or her wedding.
2. Should I, after all this time, finally tell my sister what I did with the dress? I believe she suspects the truth by now anyway. (link)
Your sister sounds like a snot and only asking for this 6 yr old dress to bother you in the first place. Yes, the dress was yours to keep or do whatever you wanted with.

Tell her that it was your dress to do whatever you wanted with, you had it in the closet for a year or so and then donated it to goodwill as it did not suit you for any other occasions.

If she keeps harping about it, say the exact same thing. Let her crab some more and repeat the exact same thing. There's something else up here for her to be such a B over a 6 yr old bridesmaid dress!

I really do not care for nylons, but i really do not care for dresses either. My husband bought me this wonderful dress (which i totally love)for his christmas party next month. it shows my legs from the knees down, and i was told nylons are like a huge fashion don't now. problem is my legs are whiter then casper's! I do not waste my time tanning -- just does not work for me. could you give me some advice on nylons? thanks (link)
I hate nylons too! That's why I moved to Florida. I only wear them when absolutely required, like a professional thing or a formal event. The only thing that helps is by wearing "Thigh Highs" instead of pantyhose. They're a lot more comfortable and your husband may find that pretty sexy too!

My aunt passed 8 months ago. Her and I just so happen to wear the same size clothing. About 4 weeks ago, my uncle brought over some of my aunt's clothes for me to go through and pick out what I would like to keep. He gave the clothes to us, so I'm not pressed for time to decide because we don't have to return them or anything like that, but my Mom has been rushing me to look through them so she can clear them out of the basement. Thing is, I don't want the clothes. It's not that they're unappealing to me. It's that it would just be too emotionally upsetting to have them. I really don't want them, and I'm firm in my decision. My mom views it as, "perfectly good clothes", and since they're free, she might be a tad bit mad if I didn't accept them. Don't get me wrong, I've very thankful for the offer. But I just don't want to look like a total jerkface to my unlce's family. *Do you think it would be rude of me to refuse the clothing? (link)
I can understand your feelings and it is SO good of you to put your family's feelings first. Pick two or three items that you like, or you liked seeing your aunt in. Then just stash them away... maybe someday you'll want a remembrance of her and you'll still have that favorite sweater.

4/3/06 - glad to know you're feeling better and made a choice that suits you and honors the memory you have of your aunt.

Okay.. IVE BEEN LOOKING EVERYWHERE for some nice black pants. NOT DRESSY PANTS, not the kind with the silk or anything. And not dark blue. Im talking jet plack pants with a good amount of pockets. (and not hot topic/gothic pants)

old navy or Target are good for basics.

My mom doesn't want me to have suade sneakers. She thinks they'll get ruined in the rain. Do they? If they do does they water proofing spray really work? Is there anyway I can convince my mom to let me get them? Thank you. (link)
"Journeys" shoe stores sell some awesome suede protectant. you can pour a gallon of water on them and it just runs right off!

I'm 5' tall, 125 lbs, 34 yrs old, 34D. Short and plump. I wear big shirts and tight jeans to hide this. I really want to dress for my age as well as my body type. Any suggestions or pictures of outfits??? (link)
Hi! Fit is the best thing.... don't wear tight jeans, find a good cut and the correct size for You. Go to a tailor and have them hemmed, it's only about $7

Hi, Ive wanted to get my belly button pierced for like 4 years. Im 16 now and my mom said she would take me this summer. Im just kind of curious about the amount of pain. I heard like when you get the needle through your belly button you dont feel it, but when the put the ring in you do. And how long af ter does it hurt? like a day or a week? If someone could please tell me about their experience that would be great... Thanks in advance :) (link)
The piercing doesn't hurt that much at all! just a little pressure and a pinch. It's the first couple weeks after that when it hurst like hell. Make sure you wash it every day at least 3-4 times a day to avoid getting it infected and it'll heal up faster that way too. Believe me... I got mine done at 36! (i'm not too old for it :)and I'm only 105 pounds)

What is a good brand of makeup remover that is under $3?? and not NYC (link)

Alright, this is sort of a random question, but I'm cleaning out my closet today, because I have WAY too many clothes. It's hard to find anything to wear because I have so much STUFF that I simply never wear...does anyone have a solution to this problem? Like, can you list out what a good amount of clothing to have is? For example, how many jeans you should have, how many tee-shirts, how many skirts, etc. Also, what's the remedy to this? I have so much clothing-but nothing to wear! Should I limit where I shop to like...2 or 3 certain clothing stores? HELP! (link)
You should plan a whole Saturday to go through your closet. Stand there in your underwear and try everything on. If you haven't worn it in a year or more, or it was too fad-ish, or it doesn't fit well - get rid of it!

Keeping your closet organized will really help... then when you're out shopping and think you need a black t-shirt, you'll know that you have 3 at home already. If you can't see the stuff in your closet, you forget it's there. Sometimes cleaning it out, you'll find some favorites you forgot about and it's like getting new stuff again.

When you do shop, look for good quality, good fit and styles that aren't going to be out next week. Places like the Gap and Old Navy usually have good basics. Good luck :)

my friend and i are gonna dye our hair with that non permanent stuff just for fun. OUr problem is we dont knwo what to do about our eyebrows. IS their any kind of non permanent dye for your eyebrows? or what do you suggest? (link)
There are tints that salons use... but Do Not do something like that yourself. It ends up looking dumber especially when the natural color shows through. Even if you're trying a new and different hair color you need something that complements you. I color my hair blonde and my natural color and eyebrow color is about 2 shades darker.
