Q: My hair is pretty thin, really straight, and comes down about and inch below my shoulders. I'm so sick of how it's pin straight, and i can't curl to save my life. I've been thinking about getting a perm, just a loose-curl, wavy type perm, not like ringlets or anything. Should I wait till it's longer to get it permed? And do you think this would suit me, or work? Becuase i had a friend that told me not. Any advice would help..thanks!

Personally I wouldn't do it. I permed my hair once. It fried my hair and it took me forever to get it half way back to normal. I permed it three years ago and my hairs never been the same. It used to be board straight and now its just crazy. Its not curly, wavy, or straight. The only good thing that came from my perm was that now I can curl my hair. I don't regret perming it. I just don't wish the mess I made of my hair on anyone.

You can have it striped but that damages your hair. Try finding a GOOD salon. Take a picture of her before the hair dye. They can bleach or dye it back as close as possible to her original color.
But make sure you get a good salon.

Q: I live in Missouri and I was thinking of dying my hair pink but when I went to the salon they said they didn't have any permanent pink hair dye.
Where can I get this dye on my own?

I'd go for Sally's. They have every color in hair dye and its inexpensive. If you go to their website you can find the one closest to you.

My hair did the same thing.
I use this product:
http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=100322&navAction=jump&navCount=2&id=prod517024
Smooth this product through wet hair. After you straighten your hair lighten smooth some of the product over the top of your hair. I apply it once more in the middle of the day. It keeps my hair straight, shiny, and frizz free all day.
I hope this works for you.
EDIT: I don't know what you have in Australia as far as stores. But you should be able to find it easily. Try drugstores or where ever you'd buy hair products and make up.

Q: My hair is very curly, but my bangs are straight. Idiotic straight. Like, they curl once at the scalp and then fall exactly pin straight across my face. It probably happens because I used to iron my bangs staright. But I did the rest of my hair too! Why is it happening? Pretty much my only options are to straighten them again or gel like there's no tomorrow. It's ugly and it doesn't belong. How can I get my bangs to curl like the rest of my hair? (P.S., I don't want it to look too unnatural, and our curling iron has a bigger rod than my spirals. Help!)

Try using a small roller for you bangs. Thats what I did for mine. Just smooth out the curl so it looks natural. Try pinning it to the side for a few minutes to give it a smoother natural wave. Everybodies hair is different so this might not work for you, but its worth a try.
I hope this helps.

Q: My hair is naturally wavy, but just a little bit. I heard there ARE products out there that make your hair really curly or wavy. Does anyone know what some names of INEXPENSIVE products that do this?

I use Aussi Sprunch spray (http://www.walgreens.com/popups/s_image.jsp?id=prod8906). All you do is wash your hair and when its dryed a little (like not dripping wet) spray this stuff on and scrunch your hair in your hands. It leaves you with tons of cute waves or curls (depending on your hair type) after it drys.

Q: Like this isn't something everyone says everyday. But, I really need help. My hair is extremely, extremely thick and wavy. Occasionally it becomes curly, and if I straighten it (which takes twice as long as it should) it looks okay too. But what can I do on a daily basis? Any ideas?

My hair is like that. Try using what I do. I use Aussi Sprunch spray (http://www.walgreens.com/popups/s_image.jsp?id=prod8906). All you do is wash your hair and when its dryed a little (like not dripping wet) spray this stuff on and scrunch your hair in your hands. It leaves the cute waves in without being a totally disaster. My hairs the same way. Mine is damaged from all the dying and perms. Try the new shampoo from Dove. Its made for hair thats been dyed, but its great if your hair is damaged. Get the one for lightned hair. Also get the conditioner. Also try the Frizz-ease system. Get the one used as step 3 (they come in steps). It helps my hair a ton.
Below are the urls for pics of all the stuff I talked about:
Shampoo: http://www.dove.ca/hair/shampoo/lightened_hair_shampoo
Conditioner: http://www.dove.ca/hair/conditioner/lightened_hair_conditioner

You can actually get some cute ones at walmart. I got a pretty good sized hot pink one. It cost me somewhere between $15 and $20. All of them were cute and less than $30. They may be less or more depending on where you live, but the price won't vary to much. I hope that helps.

Q: Tomorrow I'm dying my hair for the first time. I am soooo nervous because everybody knows me as the girl who has the pretty, long, hair. I felt I had to do a major change in my life so this is what I chose. I'm cutting my hair way shorter and then going to like a local drug store, and buying dye and then I'm coming home and dying it! I want to know if this is a good decision or not. Like half my friends are like go for it! and then the other half are like... please don't do it! I personally felt I needed to do this for myself. I want to go for a natural look and stick to the similar color but I want people to be able to notice I dyed it and it's a BIG change. Is this right, or should I not do it? By the way I'm 14/f.

If your doing it for you, completely you, then go for it. Don't do it for anyone but you. Just remember that you can't go back. I've dyed my hair at least a half a dozen times. Just remember to condition and care for your hair really well. Dyed hair is so much more fragile.

Try something gentle put effective. I have acne too. I use 'St. Ives Apricot Scrub for Acne Prone or Oily Skin'. (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y294/mvinlover/Extra/ff_1.jpg) I use that daily and use a mask from Clean and Clear once a week thats made for my oily skin. They make masks for all types of skin and you just need to find the one for you.
