I know this is pretty cliche, but I always hear things about how everyone doesn't like Canadians? Why is that? I know someone from Ontario, and she's really sweet. But other than that I know nothing about Canada. What's the big deal?

There's no real way to answer your question because it's purely an opinion. Some people have met Canadians and thought they were very nice. Others have met some not-so-friendly Canadians so they assume all Canadians are rude or whatever.

My personal experiences with Canadians have not been pleasant. They are drunks, who apparently have nothing better to do than have sex and get wasted and they've got some AWFUL tempers. However, not all Canadians are like that..I just met some bad people.

It's just like any other country. You meet some good people and you meet some bad ones. But you can't let the bad ones ruin their entire reputation (although that is what MOST people do...why do you think other countries hate Americans?) Because among all the drunken, nympho, angry canadians I met, there was one canadian girl who was very sweet. Definitely the nicest of the bunch.

People who judge an entire race, country, religion, gender, whatever on just a few bad encounters are IGNORANT.

So I guess to answer you're question..There is nothing wrong with Canadians. They are human beings just like you and me. There are bad people and there are good people all over the world.

When i upload songs from my mixed cds it comes up on itunes at "track 01"
how do i change it?

Ive tried right clicking, but there is no option to where i can choose rename.

right clicking and selecting "get info" will only work if the song has been imported to your library..you can't change the name of the song on the CD.

I am wanting to finally leave my abusive boyfriend. Problem is we just signed another one year lease. Also, the only money we have is in an account in my name, which is next to nothing. I have a friend that will give me money to move so thats not the problem. Problem is that he will be left with virtually no money and a rent of 1000 dollars a month plus all utilities. And I do not know how you go about breaking a lease. thanks for the advice

I know absolutely nothing about breaking a lease, I would imagine it would involve some money and possibly court. However, what I DO know is that you should NOT care what your ABUSIVE boyfriend will be left with. HE DESERVES NOTHING if he has the audacity to put his hands on another human being. I think you should "grow some balls" so to speak and up and leave. Period. You don't care what he is left with. He beats you. Think of it as payback.

However, I must say I'm glad you are among the small percentage to wise up and get the hell OUT of an abusive relationship. I wish you the best of luck in all of your future endeavors, and PLEASE have no remorse for the pathetic bastard. He beat you. Just remember that.

I'm a vegetarian and have been for a while now, after having begged my mom to let me be one for over a year. I love being a vegetarian and I'm planning on being one until I'm 18, then turn to a vegan. My main, and pretty much only reason, of being a vegetarian is because I'm an animal rights activist [I know what you're thinking. I'm only 15. What can I do?] Well, I haven't done anything yet, to be frank, because my mom would put me in an asylum if I joined or led a demo in front of KFC or at some crowded event. I have my goals set to be a renown animal rights/gay rights activist later on in life, though. Anyways, most people think that I'm a vegetarian because I want to lose weight, and while I DO want to lose weight, that's not what I became a vegetarian, as I've stated above. My family hassles me about it almost every day about how I don't need to become a vegetarian to lose weight *sigh*.

I've tried to get through to them that what they do in animal factories is just f*cked up and I don't support it and I don't believe I'm so greatly important to have an animal killed everytime I'm hungry and that people can live without meat and blah blah. But most people don't care/don't know about what really goes on in animal factories and what not. They don't really care, so even if I do try and get it through to them, they don't believe me or they stand by their justification of dying if they can't eat meat.

What should I do? I'm sick of people telling me that being a vegetarian is another reason to be anorexic & people putting down vegetarianism/ veganism. I've had some lady at a store tell me that being a vegetarian is another reason to be anorexic and another lady at a market saying that veggie burgers/patties are nasty and what not.

Just any reply would be great =)

I'm a new vegetarian as well and I couldnt agree more with you. You took the words right out of my mouth. I dont understand how people can say vegetarianism is another reason to be anorexic!! THAT MAKES NO SENSE! A vegetarian just simply doesnt eat meat. We find other ways to get protein.

I'm sorry that your own family cant even support you. My mom wasn't too fond of the idea for me at first either. I made my decision just days before Thanksgiving. HA! How well do you think THAT went over? My grandparents who think they know everything had to question why I'm not eating meat and what not. If I told my family that I am an animals rights activist, they would probably look at me like I am so weird. ANd do you know what I hate? When someone else starts lecturing you on how you need protein and calcium! Its not like I dont know that you know? JEEZ! Sorry I'm getting off track here :)

As far as what I think you should do, well I cant help you there because I'm in the same boat. Maybe you could tell people who critisize what we are so much to actually try it sometime! Not all veggie burgers are gross. I eat Morning Star right now and they have a full out vegetarian line of bacon, chicken nuggets, burgers, sausage, ground meat, chicken strips, even hot dogs!!! And those are all SOY products and fully vegetarian. I think they are absolutely delish! But anyways, getting back to the discriminators. People are always going to have something negative to say, and those people are the ones who are too close-minded to accept new ideas. We as vegetarians just have to struggle to get ourselves heard. If only people really knew what goes on behind closed doors you know? Simply put, people who put down being a vegetarian or a vegan are simply ignorant and it shows their lack of education and heart.

Anyways I wish you the BEST of luck in the future and if you ever need a buddy to boycott KFC (or anything else) drop me a message...I'll be there in a heartbeat! :)

I just found out my boyfriend does Dip
Im not really sure what that is, and I'm soo confused why he would do it! What are the cons of it, and can anyone explain what I should do about it? He doesn't know I know...

This is mostly an opinionated answer. Dip is the most disgusting thing anyone could do. Dip is a form of tobacco that most people put between their bottom lip and teeth and leave it there until they feel the need to spit it out. Why anyone would find joy in this, I have no clue. I'm not sure exactly but I know that a prolonged use of tobacco can deteriorate the jaw, teeth, and gums.

Just talk to him about it and tell him how you feel about it and ask him to stop. Chewing tobacco is an addiction and is just as hard to come off of as any other drug addiction! Get him help soon.

I have verizon and I was wondering if someone could find out what your text messages say. I know about the whole go online and you can see the number and time. Yesterday someone who knows a lot about technology told me you can call up verizon and ask what they said and they will tell you, is this true?

The only way that anyone could find out what your texts say is if you still have them on the phone in the inbox/outbox. I'm pretty sure Verizon has a privacy policy where they cant give out information. I don't even think they know what the text messages say anyways. All someone could find out is the date and time, and who (number) you sent it to. Thats it.

I'm with verizon and my plan for texting right now is Unlimited to all Verizon users and 500 to any other network. It's only $10 extra and definately worth it if you have alot of friends on Verizon too!

The newest plan they have is Unlimited to ANY network and I think that one might be $30 dollars extra. Not sure exactly on it's price but if you text alot and have alot of friends all on different networks..this might be the plan for you!

I'm sure they might have some other plans, you'll have to go to a verizon store and ask them specifically but these are the two I am familiar with!

ok, so i have a kodak camera [somewhat new] and i have a puppy, and she chewed on the wire a little, it still like all together, but its deffinitley opened up. and i don't know what to do. can i get a new camera? or how could i fix it?

If you want it to look brand new again, taking to the store you got it from is your best bet!

But if you dont mind using tape. Then heres an idea for you: Since its a wire, use electrical tape. Its a tape specially designed for wires. It allows you to cover the exposed wires safely and still let the electric current go through. Now I think you can get it at Walmart or Home Depot or Lowes might be your best bet. But the tape comes in different colors, I'm not sure which colors exactly but I know they have black and white for sure! Definately something to look into if you cant afford a new camera! Plus, if everything works fine and the wire is just cut open, taping it up is a much better idea than buying a new one all together.

Next time be more careful! Your puppy could get seriously injured!

Secret Lovers is the name of the song. Not sure who made it famous but it doesnt matter. Just type in the name and if there's more than one artist that comes up, download em, sample em, and see which ones you like best! The version I have is by Atlantic Star or something like that.

How much does it cost to permanently straighten hair? My wavy hair straightens pretty easily with a hair straightener, if that helps. Also it is about half way down my back, but I am willing to cut a little past my shoulders if it will lower the price a little. Will that help?

I have a full head of long curly hair. It doesnt look stick straight when I do it with JUST a straightener so I decided to get the relaxer put on my hair. My hair stylist only charged me about $100 to $150 to get it permanently straightened. I had highlighted my hair prior to getting it done and it still did NOT damage my hair. It actually made it a whole lot smoother and soft. The only downside is that once new hair grows in, you have to get it touched up. Just like you would if you had brown hair and dyed it blonde, so it's not that hard to keep it up. I still had to use the straightener afterwards but I didnt have to have the heat up so high to get my hair perfectly straight. I loved getting a permanent relaxer..I loved it soo much that I'm going to get get it done again in a few days! :) I don't know what the person below me is talking about, but trust me, a permanent hair straightener (relaxer) is WELL worth it. :)

i am thinking about getting my naval pierced and my mom has agreed to letting as long as the place is clean. but i was just wondering, do guys like it when girls get it pierced? are there like a group of guys who think it is disgusting? is there some poll thing i can look at of what guys like the piercing or not? thanks.

In my opinion..if you are going to get it done to please guys, then don't. You'll regret it in the long run. If you truly wanted it because YOU want it...you wouldn't care what guys think. Or anyone for that matter.

ok well i was loooking for a quote to decribe my hockey team (ps i am a girl) like we were all really close, basically like a family is how we decribe each other but i cna seem to find any quotes to fit us.

I don't know of anything that might help you. And by the sounds of it, you've already done an extensive search. Since you can't find any, maybe you could make up your own. Find one PRETTY close to what you want and then take ideas from it to create your own.

I just got a nose job, and was told to be careful of direct sunlight for several weeks after the surgery. I am going out of the country in about a week and a half, and it's going to be really hot. I bought a little umbrella and some spf 45 sunblock as a precaution...
but anyway, my first question is, after about a month after surgery, is it safe to go out in the sun provided I constantly wear sunblock? Is it better to also carry around an umbrella? And last thing, after how long is it safe to have direct sun contact?
And another thing (2): after how long should the bruising subside?
If it matters, I 'm 22 F.

Well, I have NO idea, I've never had a nosejob. Maybe this is something you should ask your doctor. He/she is the only one who can really give you answers. Think about it, I doubt many people on this site have had nose jobs. Or know anything about them. I could be wrong, maybe there is someone who knows. But if it were me, I would want to know from my doctor because I couldn't risk taking someone else's advice and then have something go horribly wrong and then have to get further surgeries to correct it. Just a suggestion.

congratulations!!!! I went vegetarian as well! I eat SOY products now until I can get into full swing with vegetables. Morning Star is a very good brand to try. They make soy products. Soy is a bean so it is totally vegetarian. I have fallen in LOVE with their soy nuggets. They look just like chicken nuggets, even sort of taste like them, only they are made of soy and 100% vegetarian. They also have a vegetarian bacon for breakfast. Those are delicious as well. They also make soy burgers and even soy chicken patties, soy sausage, soy hot dogs, you name it they've got it! I prefer their soy burgers over boca's any day. You can find them in Walmart (frozen food section) and Food Lion. I'm sure they are in other places as well, but those are the 2 places I have luck with. If you need any further assistance, let me know!

i was talkin to my boyfriend one day on aim and he said he was gonna hack into my computer and i was like um no and he was like why not you have nothing to hide right? well he did it anyway and i know he did because he then proceeded to read me a myspace msg from some guy [i had just met him and he lives on the opposite side of the country so it was just a random msg] and was askin me about it like testin me and sayin i think this guy likes you and all this crap [he said i was cool. thats it] and i was like no how can he i dont even know him?! and he said so youre sayin he didnt say he likes you? and i was like no? and he said dont lie to me. i eventually got him to quit and he swore he wont do it again but i told him that makes me feel invaded and he was like well you have nothing to hide right? and i was like thats not the point! ugh so now i dont know what to do bc i feel i cant do anything on here cuz he'll hack into it. he always says he trusts me and ive never given him a reason not to its not like he was suspicious of me cheatin or anything, so he had no reason to do it! also anytime i say im msging or talkin to or goin out with one of my friends he asks who over and over again until i give him a name [he doesnt even know my friends personally except for 2]. ugh i hate it! i hate sharing so much info. but if i dont tell him he gets irritated with me and holds it against me. i dont know what my question is but helpp?? 16-f hes 17-m.

He sounds like the type of guy who is controling. He's very jealous and seems almost psychotic. Well if that is all that is coming out is black then i would be worried, but i've had moments where i'll wipe or something (esp. in the shower) and there will be a big black clot. Its just a small clot of blood. I've never had a big problem with it and it doesnt seem like you do so I'm sure your fine. If you are really worried tho, then seek professional help and ask your doctor (female doctor preferrably, guys are not right for this stuff lol)

- I heard that verizon-to-verizon texts were free...
- I recntly found out that is not true if you don't buy a certain plan.
- My father pays for my phone bill, and he will FREAK out when he gets it for this month.
- I am VERY worried though. My parents are strict, & I mean VERY strict. & I have been texting this boy.

My questions are the following:
1. Can my dad read what I have sent?
2. If so, is there any way of me changing that?
3. Does it show who I've been texting or just the number?
4. How can I block any incoming or outgoing texting; I guess take it off my phone?

4. You can't block any texts as far as I know. Even if you get a plan that has no texting on your phone, you can still send and recieve texts. My best advice: DON'T TEXT BACK :D
