Hey im trying to write my own songs and i just cant seem to get the "flow" going. And i dont know what to write songs about. I cant get a rhythm of the song either. Or beat even. I know it sounds pathetic but i have no idea where to start! Please help!! I'll rate 5's!!!

I don't write songs. But I know people who do. Music is something that comes from within. You just kinda feel it. And once you feel it you'll know. Start off with something simple and write about something thats going on in your life. Like i said - I don't write songs. But sometimes i do get beats and stuff off of one song and get something different that's pretty cool.

All throughout my life I've broken every set of headphones I've ever owned. I really dont know what the deal is. They always seem to lose connection on the right side. Does this happen to anyone else? Anyway, I kind of borrowed some headphones from my sister and now Ive found that I've broken those too. .. Anyone know how to fix it? Thanks to all who answer, I rate.

i dont know how to fix them. but you could always get ear phones. i dont really know how you can break those. theres a pair made by sony that works really good. i cant find them on the internet. but they work really good.

Ok heres the problem, i LOVE to sing, i can sing very well too. The problem is i can't preform in front of people! I am way to nervous. I can't even sing infront of my family. Its just to nerve -racking. My family says i should go out for singing lessons because sometimes they hear me but im to nervous to go out. When i get older i really wanna try out for american idol, ya it sounds stupid but i do. Its just im to nervous in front of people! Does anyone have any tips to get un-nervous, or any advice for me to go out?

if you want to sing.. go for it.. i'm a shy person too and i just have to think of the positive side to things.. for you.. you could become a BIG star one day. we all have our fears.. and we gotta face them.. it may seem impossible for you to get in front of some people and sing.. but i'm sure if you do it once. you'll realize its not so bad after all.. i hate playing in front of people too.. but i always end up doing great and i'm sure you can be the same way!

Why does everyone hate emo so much? I'm not complaining, I'm just curious. I personally like emo bands, certain bands, not all. And if you are going to respond to this question, don't just say "Cuz its stupid" I want an honest response, and on honest opinion. Your response is greatly appreciated.

i think emo is possibly one of the greatest types of music. thats all i listen to pretty much. i think people dont like it because they're like "oh my god theyre so depressed and all they sing about is cutting and killing and wanting to die." but if you really listen to the lyrics.. *i know this is corny* but you really understand the band. emo is good music.. dont listen to what people say.

bass is definately easier.. but you will get alot more out of guitar. i'm starting to play the guitar too.. i've heard that if you know how to play guitar.. you can pretty much play bass too

I have this problem you could say, but whenever I find a neat, original band and I put their song in my info or something, somebody always steals it. Not only that, they think they know all about the band because they know part of one song. I know this is very selfish of me to think one band is labeled "mine", but I can't help it. One of my friends stole 10 bands that I once liked. Every song that I listened to, she went off and downloaded. I know most of you are going to say "well take it as a compliment, she likes your music", but the thing is I don't take it as a compliment at all, it's quiet annoying. Does anyone have any advice on this? Do you think that what I'm doing is as stupid as I think it is?

i go through the same thing.. MY music.. is MY music.. thats how i feel.. but if yall ever hang out you can listen to those bands and have something in common. thats a positive side.. just so search for a band that not many people know of and keep it to yourself.. you can still put the lyrics in your pro (like i do) but dont put the song name and band under/beside it. that way it sort of stays your secret
