advice
I've known this girl for a few years and I missed my chance out of pure stupidity several times. It wasn't just some stupid hormonal attraction either - it's like she's the first person who treated me like a human being and respected me for who I am. (I like the way the 70s were better than now - not that I was alive then - and people tend to harass me because of my style in everything.)
So she looked past the surface and saw who I really was, which is what made it so impossible to even ask anything. I wasn't used to this treatment.
Anyway, she moved LAST summer and I still can't get her out of my head. Any ideas?
Just because you missed your chance with this girl, doesn't mean you'll miss it again with another girl .. since there WILL be another girl. Just as the previous advice you were given, I'll say the same thing, at least now you know that there are people out there who won't just look at you for what's on the outside, but look at you and LOVE you for what's on the inside. You seem like a great person with a lot of potential, and just because you can't get her out of your head doesn't mean you're over her. You think about her, because you liked how she looked past the outside and onto the inside .. you need to know that she'll always be in your heart and mind because she was the first person to see you for who you really are. Nothing is impossible, and that girl just proved it. Sooner or later you'll meet someone else just as fantastic as the other girl, and she'll just be a memory, but until then, savor your feelings for her, maybe you could even try searching for her so you can talk to her ? But write down your feelings alot, and what you think about because if you write it down, then you'll never forget her or anything, and that will help you kind of forget about her, but in reality, you will never forget her because she helped you :]
good luck ! have fun and don't worry :] if she's in your head, she's supposed to be there. hope i helped and if you need anything else, feel free to inbox me ! xxo.
(Rating: 5) This is so close to perfect advice... But as I said, I'm different. Ever since 9/11 and when the war started I haven't been able to express my emotions. I can express who I am but not how I'm feeling. This is great advice, and it's about all I can do so I'll try.
And I've tried talking to her online to get closure but the one time she responded she said she didn't want to talk because it reminded her of home.
Thanks.
