My name is Teza.. short for Tereza. I was born in Croatia and I speak more than one language. I'm 22 years old & I completed 2 college degrees in 3 years. My a bachelors is in Business Administration concentration in Human Resources and my Masters degree is also in HR.

I started this advice column about 9years ago and I was so young but it was something that I always loved to do. I am trying to get back to answering questions, at least a few per day. With that said, if you have questions about school, friends, make up, etc., feel free to ask.

My best guy friend just told me that he liked me on istant messanger. Then i told him i just liked him as a friend because that's all the feelings i have toward him. Then he got offline and i felt really bad. I figured i hurt his feelings and he didn't want to talk to me anymore. What do i do? What should i say next time i talk to him? Or should i say anything? Thanks!

You didn't do anything wrong and I understand why you feel bad. I've been in your situation before. You did the right thing by telling him that you don't feel the same way. I made that mistake by not telling someone I only wanted to be friends and I was scared of hurting their feelings, but that only made things worse. He thought that I was leading him on, and now we're not even friends! Just let your friend calm down. Right now, it's normal for him to be upset but he had to know how you really felt. Give him some time and everything will go back to normal. If he really likes you, he'll find a way to keep you in his life.
