okay..lets say..im a girl..and my dad's brother's son (my cousin) has a son..

would that son be my cousin or my nephew..?

it would be your cousin....its only your nephew if its your brother, ..my grandpas neices daughter has a daughter (that is really my cousin) but since me and her mommy are so close (like sisters) we call her my neice but biologically its my cousin...
