Alright, i dont no how to ask this question but please just tell me everything you know and experienced in going to a new school. Give me tips, and ect.
I have to go to this private school next year and im going into the 9th grade and im so frickin nervous i wont find friends or something like that. im already kinda shy, but just tell me everything like what would be good, and whats it like!! thanks
I went to a new school my freshman year too! I was sooooo nervous, I could barely eat for 2 weeks before it started. But I decided that it was my chance to start over. I told myself there's no time to be shy or have self esteem issues. I was really scared, but I made myself be outgoing. On the first day, I made sure and introduced myself to everyone, I looked people in the eye and made sure to always have a smile on my face. I met a couple of nice people and asked to sit with them at lunch. Then I sat with new people the next day, and so on. In all of my classes, I made sure to speak loudly and make it look like I was super confident, even though I was freaking out inside. I talked to everyone, whether they seemed Cool/popular or not. Soon I stopped having to try to be outgoing, it just became natural. And you know what? Within the first couple of weeks, everyone knew my name, and I had tons of friends. My social life was thriving. To this day, I'm known as super confident, outgoing, and friendly, and I don't have a single enemy at my school (which has about 1500 people at it). I think if I had gone in there with my chin down and second guessing myself, no one would have given me a second thought. If I had allowed myself to be shy, I wouldn't have half the friends I do today. So seriously, even if you're scared, make yourself go talk to people. Don't be scared to flirt with the cute guy or talk to the popular girl. But also, don't forget about the nice guy who sits next to you in science or the girl who showed you where the bathroom was on the first day, because they deserve attention too. & that's really important. Most of all, let yourself have fun! A lot of people would kill for a chance to start over, a chance to become the person they want to be with no one there to know their past.
