Well, I adore singing.. to me.. it's a way of life. I do it 24-7.

I don't really know if I could ever do it infront of anyone other than myself! I'm so affraid that I will mess up, or people will hate my voice. Personally? I love my voice... but they always say, "Sometimes, you hear what you want to hear, not what is heard by others." I don't know what to do. In a few months.. I'll be moving to Tennessee to live with my Father. He says that Nashville is a land of opertunity for me. (he and my step-mother are the only ones I've ever sang infront of) Well, my Step-Mother, is persuing her singing career. And I'm SO happy for her. She has the prettiest voice.. EVER I'm not sure what to do..

Anyone have good advice for me?
Thanks..

Confused,

Get out there and try! Your father wouldn't lie to you and tell you that you have a chance unless you did! Dad's don't usually want their kids to look dumb and get hurt - he wouldn't lie to you. Your step-mom can probably help too; if she's pursuing her music career, she will probably know good singing warm-ups and such. She'll be able to help you protect and perfect your voice, which is good. You already love your singing, and, more than likely, so will hundreds of other people!

I'd say that you should tell your dad that you'd like to try singing in front of people. Get your step mom to help you practice, and pick a good song that you're comfortable with. Then, sing! Good luck!
