OK....i want to do gymnastics and im not very flexible. I am but not as flexibale as other ppl....anyway do you hav to be flexible to do gymnastics? And is it hard to learn to do gymnastics?? Plz help i rate high!
I do gymnastics, and I'm not that flexible either. You do have to have some flexibility, to do almost every event, even just bars or beam, but your coach should understand that not everybody can do their middle splits first time off. When doing something that requires flexibility, go as far as you can go, and DON'T OVER EXTEND, if it hurts, stop. And your coach should be fine with that. If you work at gymnastics for a few years, you will find that you become much more flexibile, but it will take lots of time. Until then, you should be able to do gymnastics just fine, but you may struggle with some things, but so do most other newcomers to the sport.
