Hey, it's Kristen. I'm 17. I'm here to give you advice honestly and straight forward so ask!

advice

I have a friend,Megan which I have been practically sisters with my whole life. I've known her for 6 years and we basically grew up together. I also have this other friend,Kelsy, which I have known for about 4 or 5 years, and is also extremely close with me. Megan and Kelsy have also been close for years, too. Kelsy is starting not to like Megan anymore, due to a drunk night when Megan got with the guy that Kelsy liked. I know it was wrong, but I've known Megan for half my life and I can't just drop her like that. Kelsy might get mad if she knows that I still want to be friends with Megan, because everytime she says something about Megan, I always agree by saying I'm not talking to her anymore either. What are your opinions on this?

You can't let Kelsey decide who your friends are just because she doesn't like them. You are your own person and no one can change that. And if she can't respect that, then she isn't much of a friend anyways. Although, I understand you guys are close. Talk to Kelsy, and tell her you still want Megan as a friend. Explain to her that you understand that what Megan did was wrong but everyone makes mistakes and you want to be both of their friends. You can have more than one best friend and if Kelsy doesn't wish to be around Megan, you can hang out with them at separate times. Sit Kelsy down and tell her how you feel and try to get her to understand it all and perhaps you should even try talking to Megan about her feelings on Kelsy and you even patch things up. But I'd work on getting Kelsy to accept that you still want to be Megan's friend before you try getting the two to be friends again. Good luck xo*
