Hey everyone, my name is Kristin, there's a picture of me on my advice column.. I'm a senior in high school and im 18 years olds.. I know I'm pretty young, but I've been through more than anyone would imagine and I've been through things most teenage girls haven't experienced yet in life. Here's a few things about myself, I've gone through a very serious one year relationship that ended a long long time ago, my parents have been divored for about 6 years, I cheerlead for my high school, I do ballet and have been playing the piano since I was seven, I work at a nearby UPS Store, and I am a dedicated Greek-Orthodox Christian. I hope to get accepted into Cal Poly San Louis Obispo and major in Nutrition..I love to hear about other peoples issues and problems so I could help them deal with it by relating them to my own experiences. I care a lot about what my friends think of me. I was preppy, and I want to go punk. I got some cloths liek element shirt and volcom and stuff. But when my friends get mad at me they call me poser, even before I got this new stuff. They also say I hav real bitchy attitude. And this past summer a lot of family issues happened, and my friends know that and still call me a bitch. Do they really mean it when they call me a bitch and a poser? Or are they saying that just because there mad? I told them how when they say that it hurts and they dont seem to care. And me and one of my best friends just got into this big fight! She has been ignoring me and calling me bitch and poser. But were friends again.... Do you think she styll thinks that? Or was she talking out of anger? PLease dont sey get new freinds cas i dont want new ones! wat do i do? (link)

Hey..I know that must really hurt being in that kind of situation.. Im going to be nothin but real wit u, and I do think that they really feel that way, about how youre a poser, etc.. I think that they just like using the word, 'bitch', so i dont think they truely mean that, but about being a poser Im sure they mean that.. When you are trying to be something you just arent, thats whut a poser is. Im sure you know that.. I think that it really annoys them that youre trying to be something u arent, and ur 'following' what their doing even if its not you. I would go back to the way you TRUELY are, and i bet you anything they will stop thinking that of you. when u guys fight Im sure they will resort back to calling u a poser, but whEn they do be like, "look at me, do i look like a 'punk' to you? I dont think so. I was stupid be4 by trying to be something im not, but this is really me and u guys dont like it then screw u." once they see that u are standing up for ur self and who u really are, they will start respecting you. good luck and i hope this helped.!!
