i love to give advice, and i've been told that i give some good advice, aswell.
i'm very dedicated once i get involved in someone's problems, and i'll probably make sure you're okay, and that my answer has been sufficent.
i don't 'sugarcoat' my answers, as just about every columnist on this site complains about, but i do present everything in a way that people will be able to handle, and relate to in their situation.
i could honestly care less about ratings, i just wanna help some people out. in my problems, current and past, i seek help through my friends, who i adore.
i'm a huge my chemical romance fan, and i know pretty much everything about them; so if you have a question on them, i'm here. go for it. ;)

Well I met this guy at the dog park. He's incredible, and we totally hit it off. Then, this afternoon, we made plans to meet again, and we did, and though we didn't talk as much (there were other people there we were talking to) I had an incredible time. He's one of my myspace friends, should I message him and tell him I had fun, or would that be wierd? Should I wait a while? How long should I wait to see if he wants to hang out again?
Also I'm 18 and he's 24, do you think he'll think I'm too young? Ah this is so crazy I'm so infatuated with him. (link)

I'd go and tell him, don't worry if he thinks something about it. Just write that you had a good time, and then mention something you did, make a joke about it.
And I don't think youre too young, actually. =)

15/f. it is true that if i start using proactive and then stop that my acne will come back again and worse then before? I've also heard that it works for about 3 weeks then stops working...is this true? (link)

This all depends on your skin type. It may be possible that it will come back, though, because your skin begins to depend on what the proactive does for it. Just make sure you're careful with your skin once you stop, and you should be alright. =D

My best friend *lets call her Megan* just recently told me that she got raped by her brother and cousin. Her brother was removed from the family but she didn't tell the police. I'm very worried for her. I wanna tell an adult but she said she'll kill herself, so i didn't. I guess what I'm asking for is whether I should consult someone. Please help.

Well, this is definitely a difficult situation. If she's completly devastated about this, or if you think this will happen again, overall if you think anything is threatning her, tell someone. Dont' worry about what she said about killing herself, because if that is true, then the person you called will be able to help her.
If she seems to be functioning alright, and if there's not much of a chance this will happen again, just try to be there for her, adn talk to her about everything.
If you need to, talk things through with her, and convince her to see someone about this. Tell her how much you worry about her, and she should see eye to eye with you.

About a month ago I found out that my boyfriend's mom is pregnant! :) I'm so overjoyed, as is everyone else. At first it was a little secret, so I couldn't tell anyone. My boyfriend finally asked his mom if he could spread the word and she gave him the a-okay. This happened a week ago. I'm no longer happy. Everytime I try to tell my parents she's pregnant I feel sick. Not disgusted, literally sick to my stomach. I also feel embarrassed and ashamed and a bit hateful. Not at all hateful towards the baby or his mom but me. I chicken out. Now my boyfiends starting to get a little annoyed with me, as you can imagine. Just writing this makes me feel sick. Well, just concentrate on the fact that many adults are having kids, so it's not like it's abnomal. Just realize, that your parents will be mature adults about it, and that they'd understand, since they've obviously had a kid before. =P

I AM LIKE FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW! Last week I was 120 exactly, and all of the sudden I weighed myself and I am 129! I am on my period so I dont know if that affects anything, but I am about to go on an exteme diet. Does anyone know why this happened all of the sudden? 14/f, Im not pregnant or anything like that.. First off, do NOT go on this 'extreme diet'. You usually get bloate on your period, causing you to gain weight. This may go away in a few weeks.

This just sounds like he was acting like a regular guy, lol. He was most likely trying to weird you out, especially if it was on a dare, or if his friends were anywhere near you. Honestly, I think you shoudl be weird right back, lol, it would put him in his place.
This may also be an odd little form of flirting. =D

OK, I have been working at this one place as a cashier & the man upstairs always comes to visit & hang out with us after he gets off work. Well, we have been flirting & teasing for a while now. He is always staring at me while I am waiting on customers. He walks me to my car when I leave & we even stand out there & talk a little bit. Well, anyway, me & my friend decided to pay him a visit at his apt. one Saturday night. He seemed very happy we were there & we were drunk & I could tell he was a little drunk. Well, that night he was very openly flirting. He told me I was pretty & constantly kept touching me. Not in a groping way, just arm around me, hand on my back, you know, that sort of thing. Well, everything was fine & we finally left & went home. The next work day came & he come over as usual. But, this time he was a little standoffish. I mean he was staring at me some & smiled at me too, but he wasn't teasing or acting like he usually does. It was almost like he was a little shy. So, what exactly does this mean? Does he not like me anymore? Also, what can I do to rectify the situation? Thanks for any help.

He may be nervous, because he pretty much had you, and now he's not sure on whta to do. Or maybe he thinks he did something else when he was drunk?? Just actually try asking him, or a friend about whats going on, or make a little joke to him, and be like 'hey! dont' wanna talk to me anymore?!' He should go along with it, and you'll get your answer eventually. =)

how much exercise is enough to keep you in shape?? i've been an athlete ever since 3rd grade, but recently i sprained my ankle and it turns out i have a chronic ankle sprain. my parents thought it would be best to take the season off, or just not play. i can run forever, but i just can't turn it. would running 5 days a week for 30 minutes a day on the tredmill plus crunches and the 6 inches stretch be enough?? i eat 3 meals a day and sometimes one snack, sometimes i don't have a snack. any opinions??

15/f. At my school, there is a swing dancing class-type thing that meets once a week. We put on a show in the spring. A lot of my friends are in this, and we've already had a few practices. However, I can't find a partner! All of my friends have partners, and none of the guys that I know want to swing dance. It's not that I'm weird or anything, but there aren't any guys left. There's a few guys that I might ask, but they've already made comments that they wouldn't swing dance if somebody paid them. Another problem is finding somebody who can lift me (I'm 5'3", 120 pounds, a lot of muscle). How can I "charm" a guy into being my dance partner without a whole lot of bribery? Thanks. (link)

Just try to act really nice to everyone, and eventually one of them will ask to be your partner. Also, show you're a good dancer. If you have to, ask them to dance to a FEW songs with you, just to try it out.. If you seem good, they'll most likely use you as a partner.

15/f. Christmas is my all time FAVORITE holiday. i just love it! now that it is coming up, i've seen christmas commercials, and i've already started making my christmas list. now that is all i can think about. i'm just so excited! what are some things that i can do to take my mind off of christmas. because i sometimes get sad thinking about it because it is almost two months away.

Haha, but if that dosen't work, try just planning sleepovers and other things to get yourself to look forward to. Plan them a week early, so you'll have something to be excited abou throughout the week.

I'd say to just try putting up a pony tail, or braids or something like that. The baby powder idea from the last user also sounds good, just make sure you comb it through thoroughly. If you cant find time in the morning, try taking your showers at night, and straightning/styling your hair in the morning.

I had my period almost two years ago and I nevr developed. No size increase in my breasts, no curves, just growing hair and that's it. Other girls in my class had their period this year and they already developed (and I would be lying if I didn't say that boy's are starting to get attention form their breasts). I don't think it's the normal "you're just a slow developer" because that's way to long to not develope anything and I'm too scared to talk to my doctor about it because he's a guy. Do you think it's a serious problem and that it'll effect my body in a bad way like getting cancer or something? Yes, stupid question but I'm serious. (link)

I'm not exactly sure what this could be from. Maybe not getting enough vitamins?? Try to take a multi-vitamin and you should be able to grow more easily. If you can't talk to your doctor, you can call another doctor in the area, or ask to see one of your doctor's (female) nurses.
But believe me, your doctor will know what he is talking about, whether a male or famale, and he will handle your problem professionally. He wont judge you, and he'll only try to help out.

well okay on thursday night my mom picked my sister and i up from my gradmas house at 1am, even though so was supposed to pick us up around 8:30. she was so drunk, and i was scared to get in the car. my sisters 7 and was asleep so i carried her outside with me. i get in the car and my mom goes crazy for NO REASON! she's being so mean, and i asked her why are you doing this to yourself? and she called me names. we got out of the car when we were home and i was on the phone with my gram and she hit me in the face and tried to get my cell phone, but i ran down street until she got inside, then i went in and ran up in my dads room (the attick.) he has a lock in the inside that i locked it. and sooo, she comes upstairs and trys to open in and calls me EVERYTHING in the world. a cunt, she hopes i was never born, ALL FOR NOTHING! as i was on the phone with my gram she heres everything. my dad comes home from work bout 1:45 and my moms passed out in her room and my sister is forced to sleep with her. she hurt me sooo badly, and i got no sorry. i wanna move out more then anything in the world. since then we haven't even talked. even before this TERRIBLE DRUNK DISASTER she was always so rude and treated me so much different then my sister. i don't like her, and i need help. sorry this is longg. If this becomes a constant thing, you need to get someone to talk to. Try to get your Gram, who was on the phone when this all happened, to talk to someone. Prefferably your dad, first, because he would be able to talk to her.
If your dad and gram don't listen for some reason, talk to a school counsiler, and they will handle things, just make sure you've got a relative or friend to stay with if things go wrong.

I usually wear some abercrombie or american eagle type clothes but I want to have some more individual clothes in my wardrobe too. So I was wondering if 2nd hand stores like goodwill, value village, or places like that are good places to find unique shirts and accessories. I'm trying to fray away from preppy clothes, but I still want to be girl. Also are there any stores that aren't 2nd hand that have the things im looking for? thanks for you help! any advice at all is greatly appreciated (link)

As far as I know, those second hand stores would be a great choice. But if you're looking for other places, I'd try more places like :
Wet Seal
Hot Topic (just take my word on that, lol)
And possibly even Forever 21.
And of course, Ebay would be a great place to look, since you can find just about anything on there!

I've got this amazing friend, John. I always joke around with him and everything with him and my best friend, Deanna, over the computer, but when it comes to actually hanging out.. it's a different story. While Deanna and I constantly are together, John only seems to want to talk to us when it's either conveniant for him, or when it's not in person.
For example, John, Deanna, our friend Alex and I all went to the movies to hang out. Well, Deanna, Alex and I all had a great time. We talked, laughed and everything, but John seemed to just completly be concentrated on the movie only, and when he wasn't, he was texting with some of his other friends. He pretty much didn't talk to us all until one of his newer friends met up with us at the therter..
He has made all these new friends, and I'm fine with him having friends, but he seems to be forgetting Deanna and I. He also seems to be more arrogant, because all of these girls happen to be alot prettier, and more popular than us.
He's just seemed to change.. and I really miss the old John, who I used to be able to joke around with, not having to worry about confrontation.
And I'm not flipping out all of a sudden, either.. This has been an on-going thing, and I've talked to him about it a few times. I don't pin blame or anything, but he's still not getting that he's not being the kindest person lately..
Please tell me what I should do.. I know not to push him away or anything, but.. what do I do to get everything like it used to be?

Honestly, I'd try to just let him be who he is. If he seems that INCREDIBLY bad, then maybe you should give him a break. YOur friend, Deanna will probably still be there, so maybe give him that break?
If this dosen't sound good, try to talk to him about EXACTLY what's bothering you. Don't go around everything, hit it straight on.
If he refuses to listen, just let him move on, but make sure you're there for him when he still needs you.

Is there an age where your periods just stop? Like forever? I'm not talking about irregular periods... i'm talking about if you're 70 years old, do you still get your period?

There's not exactly a set age, but usually from any age ranging from 40 and up, women go through menopause. It's completly normal, and is supposed to happen. It's when your period stops, and you cannot have children anymore.

I was thinking earlier in the day about this game I used to play when I was in second grade. There were 4 people at 4 different corners with one in the middle, and the people on the corners would try to switch 3 times to get the one in the middle out and not let them steal a corner.

It sounds like you may have tore a muscle. Try pinching it next time you feel a cramp. If these pains don't go away, ask your parents to let you call/see a doctor, to make sure your organs are working alright.

It's pretty normal, especially if it's common in your heritage/you have thick hair/ect. Dont' worry about people making fun of you before it. If needed, just shave and not tell people about it. =D
