how bad does it hurt to get your lip peirced?

When I got my lip pierced it didn't hurt,it pinched. It was a really weird feeling, it didn't hurt but it was a little uncomfortable. You can't really compare an ear piercing with a facial piercing, the pain is different because they use a needle instead of a gun to do it. Before they pierce your lip they make you rinse your mouth out with mouth wash so it pretty much numbs the area.

I'm planning to get my first tattoo. I'm searching for the perfect design. I want to get a wolf and a dreamcatcher and my name on my shoulderblade. I just submitted my description on a website to have it custom designed by a tattoo artist. I'd like to know what to expect when I actually have it done. So if anyone that already has a tat could please share their experience. Is it really painful? Do you have any regrets? (link)

Well getting a tattoo isn't extremely painful. It feels like someone is scraping a safety pin in the same place over and over again. It's more uncomfortable than painful. Since you're getting it done on your shoulderblade it will probably be more painful than, say, if you were getting it done on your arm. It all depends on where the tattoo is and how big it is. After I got my tattoo I did regret it but only because of where I got it (hip area) but other than that I don't regret it at all.

In choir, we're singing the song "For Good" from the musical Wicked, if you know it. We had an audition for the solo at the beginning ("I've heard it said that people come into our lives.....but I know I'm who I am today because I knew you"). I had practiced singing it in a head voice. But I forgot that if I sing longer than 45 minutes, I can't sing any lower than the E above Middle C in a head voice. The director, suprisingly, called on me first, and I remembered that it had been 2 hours, and I definitely couldn't sing the low B in a head voice. So I had to sing it in a chest voice. In front of the whole chorus. Being a soprano, I have barely any experience singing in a chest voice. Nobody has ever heard my voice alone except for the director, so I was scared shitless. I was shaking all over the place, and I sang horribly. It was just awful. The director was totally suprised, since she knows about my stage fright woes. And the other girls did much better than me. The director knows I'm a good singer, but my audition was ghastly.
I'm sooo embarassed. What do you guys think of this situation? (link)

same thing happened with me when I was auditioning for a solo, but I'm an alto. There were 19 other girls auditioning for the solo in front of everyone so we were pretty nervous. I knew that most of the girls did better than I did. Since my director knew how I sang, that I was nervous, and that I had been practicing the part she gave me the solo and told me to work on my stage fright. She said she knew I would do much better on stage night and was a little surprised that I didn't do so hot. SO I think you are going to be fine and if your director knows how you sound she will take that into consideration when she is choosing who should sing the part. Don't sweat it, if you don't get THAT solo I'm sure there are others to come.
(key to getting over stage fright, imagine you're by yourself and nobody can hear you but you and the director and don't tense up!)

I have dark brown, almost black, eyes and I use a brown that matches the color. Black also works. It makes your eyes stand out. Blue would work but not as well as a brown color.

i am very fair skinned and so i do not tan naturally- i burn. well i've tried lots of different sunless tanning products in sprays, lotions, and foams in all the brands pretty much and i can't ever seem to accomplish an even tan. are there any tricks? thanks! (link)

either go to a tanning booth or when you lay out use vegetable oil instead of tanning oil or sunscreen.

You could take strips of paper, one strip for every day y'all have been together, and on each strip write one thing you like about him. Then, put it in a box and decorate it with things he likes. I did that for my boyfriend and it made him cry.

I have to write a report on Anorexia for my health class final. The thing is, I don't understand how people go for so long without food? How do they resist temptation? And does being anorexic mean you don't eat AT ALL, or do you still eat, but just a little bit? And what are some "side effects" or problems that may occur from being anorexic. ( I've already looked at ALOT of sites I've googled, but they just all say not to go anorexic, I need more info then that!) Thanks so much guys! (link)

Anorexia doesn't mean throwing up your food, that's belemia. Anorexia, as well as belemia, is a mental disorder so most of the time anorexics don't become that way by choice, it's all in their head. If someone skips meals and says they aren't hungry,they exercise all the time, and become anti-socail or paranoid then they could be anorexic. Some anorexics may eat a tiny bit but it will always be something healthy, like lettuce. Anorexics obsess over food and exercise and will count calories. All that is on their mind is losing weight so they really don't notice hunger pains. Some problems that can occur are kidney failure, heart problems, and eventually death. Most anorexics really don't want to not eat, it's just something in their mind that tells them if they eat they will become overweight and not accepted. It usually costs around $40 depending on where you go. It doesn't hurt but it feels really weird. Before you get it pierced they will make you gargle mouth wash for 30 seconds then they will clamp your tongue and pierce it. After, it will swell a little and for the next week or so you probably wont be able to eat solid foods very well. Yes, most tongue piercings will "mess up" your teeth. My uncle makes dentures and he says about 1/4 of them are for people with tongue piercings. You just have to be really careful with it like, don't bite on it or play with it with your teeth and try not to rub it up against them. If you don't touch your teeth with it then you will be fine!

So today I took one of my earrings and started pressing it really hard against my cartilage in hopes of piercing it. (after sterilizing it, of course!) anyway, I chickened out. If you go to a pro at a tattoo/piercing then you will need a parent but if you go to a place in the mall, like Claires, then you only have to be 13.

14/f I just got my belly button pierced today with my mom. My parents are divorced and I dont see my dad all that much. So i mainly live with my mom. I askedm my dad last year if i could get it and he said no. So i held off. But the whole time my Mom said i could.
SO now im scared to tell my dad that i got it =[
How should i let him know? Im in mexico and I dont want to stress out the rest of the vacation. And i got the piercing here.
I dont think he'll be too mad because when i asked him last year he said we'll talk about it in a few years.

I had the same problem! My mom just called my dad and told him she let me get it done. He was angry at first but said I could wear a spacer in it around him and it would be fine! If your dad is as old fashioned as my dad is he'll be the same way.

Well you can't really compare it to any other kind of pain because it's a different kind of pain all together. It just feels like something is scratching you. It also depends on where you get it. I got my tattoo on my hip and it just felt like someone was scratching me with a safety pin over and over again in the same area. If you got it, say, on your back it would hurt a lot worse than if you got it on your arm. Afterwards, it just feels like a scrape. It really isn't a big deal and the pain is worth it in the end.

I use men's deodorant and it works wonders! I used to use women's but my sweating got out of control so I switched to men's and I don't sweat anymore unless I'm working out hardcore. I use Degree for men but Arrid and others work just the same. Try getting one that is for extreme sports or for working out. Plus, they smell great!! :)

I use Ban brand deodorant, which is supposed to be a good quality brand Im told, but I still sweat under there. I put it on once in the morning, but it wont work all day. I was wondering if there is a "magical" deodorant that stays on all day and works great. I also dance, so I need one thats strong. I cant seem to find the deodorant that is right for me. Maybe there are some other ways to stop the sweating. Thanks for the help! (link)

i always sweat when its hot.. but who doesnt. but its always me who gets sweat marks under their armpits (i do wear deoterant)so i always have to change my shirt just awaiting it to happen again or put on a jacket so its not noticable bc it wouldnt go through the jacket, but i mean who wants to wear a jacket during the summer? summers coming up and i dont know what to do to stop it before im emarrased while im playing with friends and i raise my hand or something and theres a big ring of sweat... I have the same problem. You can either use Men's deodorant, which I do, or you can get acupuncture done. It doesn't cost much like you may think, it all depends on where you go. I had it done on my whole back and that was only $50. You might have to do it a couple of times but, surprisingly, it really does work.

for a throat remedy use this:
dissolve-
lemon juice from half a lemon (squeezed out of a lemon not from a bottle)
asprin
salt (sea salt)
into warm water and gargle for 30 seconds.
The song Popular from Wicked is easy to sing.
