In 1 week, im going to a semi formal dance, and im bringing my best friend as my date. So I known the talking and stuff wont be awkward. Hes never had a gf and ive never had a bf, we're both in 9th grade. I go to an all girls school, he goes to an all boys school. Heres the thing-He wants to be a priest .. so hes not big on the whole dating thing, even though it seems like he likes me. The problem is, slow dancing. Hes not gonna wanna slow dance with me and i wanna dance with him, all my friends r gonna be slow dancing with there dates. Do ya think he will dance with me when he sees everyone else doing it. I am sure that he will at least dance with you. I mean it is not like he is kissing you or anything you guys are just friends. So ask him to dance I am sure he will be happy to as long as you just want to be friends with him!

Im 13, and my boyfriend is 12 (I was born very early in the year he was born later on) will he is very sweet, and very nice to me. We've been friends (but not like best friends) longer then we've been dating (hasent been that long at all) I think i have a big commitment issue, i mean once i finally get the guy i want.. You don't have commitment issues...if you think you do, then I don't even think you know what commitment issues are. So just keep doing what you are doing...you have your whole life ahead of you..do what you want..I bet you won't be with this boy forever..so just have fun and be yourself and do whatever you want.

does it sound like this guy likes me as more than a friend?
Well he had moved a couple of weeks ago. Before he moved we were usually in regular contact. He gave me his old computer before he left. He just got his internet hooked up. He gave me his private cell number, and also wanted to talk on msn messanger with me. In my experience, a guy won't volunteerly give out his private cell phone to a girl unless he's interested.
Well we started messanging each other a couple of days ago. When we talk it's usually for quite a long time; atleast an hour. He has been saying things like that he really missed me (with a crying face), and that he thought I was funny. I told him that I had a dream about the two of us a week ago and then asked if he ever did, and then he said he couldnt recall; but put a picture of a smiley face blushing. He also kept sending me winks and nudges. I also told him after my long shift last night that I wanted to soak in the tub and he sent me a smiley face with a huge grin and he said "GO FOR IT"! I also asked him if he liked talking to me on messanger and he said "for sure; you're a great person to know and talk to".
We talked for about an hour last night; and then he asked me what time I worked today because he wants to talk to me again.
So does it sound like there is something there more than a friendship? Or am I reading too much into it?

It sounds like he does like you, I don't know how much though...maybe as just a really good friend. I would give it some time and see how things go. I mean if you guys aren't even talking on the phone then I mean you can't really tell. So just give it some time and see how things go.

Yes I've always had a problem with her cuz I think she's really weird and I don't like all her Repulican policies. But now it's like everytime I see her or think of her I just wanna scream. When I heard that thing about her getting up at 4.30am to exercise I got so mad I ended up punching a wall!!! Arg, it really sucks. Does anyone know a way to get over this a lil bit because if I go to my friends house I don't wanna see her!!!

Ok, so wow..this is a strange thing, but really the only thing you can do is realize that there is nothing you can do. Just try to avoid her. I mean she is a person that a lot of people look up to a respect. I mean I personally do not like her much, but that does not mean I am going to go to the extreme of punching a wall.

I guess the only thing I can compare this to is my hate for President Bush, but I know I cannot do anything about it except just roll my eyes when I see him, and make fun of him.

Just try and ignore her and make fun of her..it will make you feel better..I think...

helpful info: 15/f..all girls school... this was at an all-guys school dance....

last night i was at this dance. i was outside with some friends because we were waiting for a few people to arrive. so, this friend of mine, introduces me to his friends. One of these friends asks me if i wanted to go inside and dance, so i was like.. sure. we went inside and started dancing for a while. Then, they were having like this contest or whatever and we were watching and he put his arm around me and said: "thank you for dancing with me!"

at the end of the night the guy kisses me. I asked him "what was that?!" and he said "i like you" i tried to make it kind of clear that i'm not a slut u know, someone that just kisses anyone. he said that he could tell i'm not a slut, but he meant no harm by it, he just liked me. so i was like ok. then when i was leaving, he kissed me again the parking lot, and literally like carried me and spun me around and he even held my hand. i was kind of shocked because he just met me, but on the other hand, i could tell that he didn't mean any harm, he just liked me...

but, my mother saw me from the parking lot. she was appauled because she thinks she knows every one of my friends like the back of her hand. she claimed to have never seen this child in her life... and asked me who that was that i was making out with. i wasn't even really "making-out". i agree that it was a little weird for the first time that you meet someone, but he didn't seem like trouble or anything. he said that he was sorry, he just couldn't control his "impulse" but that he was really sorry he didn't mean any harm by it. but my mother is super worried about this! she told me that she couldn't even sleep last night thinking of this... and in my opinion that's a little extreme!

if you can give me any advice on this, i would appreciate it a lot. i really need help on how to get my mother out of these things. i wish she could just get over it, i've told her about other times when i've made out with guys and shes always been like "thats great!" please answer soon

Well I think your mom was just upset because she didn't know the boy, and she probably just feels more comfortable if it was a boy that she knew.

I don't think that there is really anything you can do to keep your mom from worrying about things like that. Just don't do anything to give her any more reason to be worried.

My boyfriend is EXTREMELY overprotective. I talk to this other boy like on the computer and on the phone because we're just wicked good friends. We've never really met in person, but I'm thinking this kid likes me. He like always brings up my bf in negative ways and tells me to dump him and that he'd never do anything bad to me. Now my boyfriend wants to kill him even though he doesn't know him and my friend wants to kill my bf even though he doesn't know him. No matter what I say to my bf about not touching him or not worrying about it he just goes on and talks about beating up the kid or killing him and stuff. Now I'm finally going to meet this kid and we're sleeping over my friends house together. Ok, it sounds like your boyfriend has a right to be jelous...Look at it from his perspective..imagine that he was talking to a girl on the internet on the phone and talking negatively about you..

I really don't think that you would like it that much...So give your boyfriend a break..and I think you should stay away from the internet kid if you still want a relationship with your boyfriend..

So really my advice to you would be to just realize that your boyfriend has every right to act how he is, and you are probably hurting him, so if you are going to continue this you should probably just break up with him..

It sounds like you just don't really want a boyfriend...and that the boys just really aren't what you expect them to be..

But this is normal..I take it you are a teenager..so I mean you it is fine for you to date around...and eventually you will just find a guy you like and can stikc with..so just take your time..this is normal..

okay so i have two best friends. and lately its seemed like they have been leaving me out. of everything. one of them, lets call her A, ive known since 3rd grade and shes been my best friend since. now im in 8th. the other, V, has been my best frined since 6th grade. and i like intoduced them to eachother in 6th grade. its always been us three. we have even gotten the name as "triple threat" around our school and such. but now it seems like its them, and then me. they talk on the phone everynight for hours on end, and everytime they see eachother they run up and hug each other for what seems like an hour. and im lucky if i even get like a hi sometimes. it may be that im jealous.. but i still want a hug. you know? they have been getting closer to eachother and farther from me. i know i really shouldnt be having to deal with this kinda thing with my best friends, but i am. and it totally sucks. ive talked to them about it and they said its kinda my fault because i do travel basketball that takes up all my weekends, but seriously, they shouldnt be blaming it on me.. should they? i did basketball last year too, and it wasnt any different between us. this started happening like 2 months ago. and now its getting really bad. if you have any advice on what i can do, please just post back anything. please! thanks in advance :]

To me it sounds like you should just try and find some friends who will like you no matter what.

Because it sounds like they are just being little bitches (sorry). So I thin you just need to dis them for and while, and maybe they will end up realizing that they miss you and say that they were wrong..if not then you will know that they were not your true freinds.

hey everybody. My friend was dating her bf for a year and a few months and they had already decided their wedding date, childrens names, where they would live, ect. They just recently "went on a break" and then broke up completely, but they are still going to get married, as planned, the summer after she graduates high school. I told them that if they can't be together in a dating relationship then how where they going to do in a marriage but to them this makes sense. What do you think about this?

Well, this sounds like an awkward situation. I completely agree with what you said..because you are right how can they possibly have a good marriage if they can't even date?

I am sure they will eventually come to realize that this is not right.

I think that you should tell your friend to start dating other people, and realize that she stil has many options on who she is going to marry, and maybe if she does that she will date other people and know that he isn't the right guy.

Is it normal to start your period in gr.6? another question. If your start having periods in gr.6 and don't have one till gr.8 is the normal?

Getting it in 6 grade is completely normal, but you should see a doctor about the 2 year thing.
