it is fine if no one asks you. thats not a problem at all. just go with your friends. it doesnt mean there's somethign wrong with you. if you dont like to dance, then dont ask someone to dance. you dont have to. but if you would like to, it wouldnt be weird, i dont think.

I want to get the Biore Triple Action Astringent, but it says it tightens pores, and is that the same as minimizing?
or should I also get some sort of pore minimizing refining exfolitar from biore too? (link)

when pores are tightened, they become smaller, which is the same as minimizing. you should be fine with just the Biore Triple Action Astringent, however, you could get a pore minimizing exfoliator as well, which could make the product give you a better outcome. good luck!

Tomorrow I'll be starting my first day volunteering at a hospital. Most of the patients are elderly. I was wondering what I should talk to them about. I'm terrible at talking to adults as it begins with, so I'm a bit nervous as to what I should say to the patients. I do know senior citizens enjoy talking about their life, so I will ask them about that, but what else should I say? you are right about senior citizens liking to talk about their lives, and that could take up most of the time you would need to talk to them. however, if you need something else to talk to them about, you could talk to them about music or movies if you are interested in older things, or you could ask them their opinions on things that are currently happening. you could just talk about school in general these days, and talk to them about how things have changed since they were younger. good luck!

I have this friend.
A guy friend, who I went out with
on and off for about a year maybe?
but anyways..
I dumped him for this other guy
and it totally didn't work out.
So then he went out with a girl,
and it also didn't work out.
Now I really like him again,
and I don't know what he thinks of me.
I've told him how I feel,
but he just shys away.
And I've hinted to him that I want another chance,

So how should I let him know I'm really ready to commit to him this time.

if you feel like it would be too difficult to talk to him in person, the best way to let him know is to write him a handwritten letter. this is a good choice because you can make sure you get to say everything you want to say, and you dont have to worry about his immediate reaction. also if he has a letter, he can reread it if he wants too, and can take some time to think about it, unlikeif you confronted him, when he may feel pressured to answer right away. make sure to include everything you said in your question, about how much you like him and are ready to commit, and how you wont dump him for another girl. good luck!

okay, well i have this huge issue with dying my hair.
i havn't dyed my hair since Feburary, to black. and the other day i found black hair dye and decided to dye it again. by the time i dyed it a couple days ago, my dirty blonde routes were showing A LOT. but yeah, i ended up missing a few spots anyway.
now, i want to dye my hair to a light golden brown color that i bought at the store.
what should i do to dye my hair? do you think it will fall out if i try to dye it so light? i'll be bleaching it first, btw.

i dont think it should be a problem if you bleach it and then dye it again, however you should look into the way bleach works if you havent already. bleach is really hard on your hair, and sometimes your hair never grows back out with its natural color. when you bleach your hair and then dye it, the bleach usually absorbs the color, so your hair will end up being light brown, and then whatever color that grows out. just as a warning as well, bleach can hurt a lot, so i wouldnt recommend doing it yourself unless youve had some previous experience. besides that, your hair shouldnt fall out though. good luck!

it depends on the guy. sometimes there isnt any connection or chemistry. you have to wait and find the one that there is chemistry with. although if youve done it more than a few times with the same person it may be getting old, which would be why youre feeling this way. but you will find a guy that you feel like there is amazing chemistry with, just give it time.

there isnt really a "beginners" tampon, however, when you choose a brand make sure you get petite or small sized tampons, as they will be best for your body size.

Hello, thanks in advance for any advice.
One of my best friends' mother asked me to "babysit" her daughter (my friend's sister), but since she's in 7th grade and i'm in 9th (this fall), it wouldn't really be like babysitting...as much as just hanging out because we're so close in age. Shes coming over here, I think, because her brother will be home (my friend) at their house, and it would be weird. She wants to let her daughter out of the house for awhile, I guess, because she and her brother don't get along too well when theyre home alone together. So she's coming over around 1-2ish until 8.
Aaaaaanyways..............to my question. What are some good things to do with a girl that age? Last time we just played cards and watched TV. but we were at her house - I don't really know how to be a good...."hostess" I guess.
We have a pool, a friendly neighborhood to walk, and my mom might take us with her shopping - but other than that, what is there to do?

think about what you liked to do in seventh grade. give each other makeovers, paint each others nails, tak about boys. take a bunch of crazy pictures. anything you liked to do in seventh grade.

16/F.I always feel shy to use public toilet. I feel somebody would heard the noise (Pissing & farting)and this make me embarassed. So I keep holding urine for many hours and give pain to my self. In my home I never use common toilet due to same fear.

its not uncommon to be uncomfortable about using public restrooms. however, you have to remember that everyone else using the bathroom is doing the exact same thing, and isnt concerned as to what youre doing. same with the bathroom in your home. you shouldnt worry about that at all.

Okay. I kind of need a quick reply, please...
My best friend went out with a boy (we'll call him Shawn) for 7 months. She was head over heels for him. But then while she was on vacation he called and broke up with her through a VOICE MAIL.
Well, her best friend (we'll call him Mike) was there for her through it all. Now, being a bystander in this, I could tell mike had feelings for her. And recently he asked her out. Mike and Shawn were best friends...and as soon as shawn found out he began calling my friend wanting her back. It's been 4 months since they broke up, and I think he just doesnt want her with Mike...what should she do? (link)

if he only started asking her out right after he found out that mike was interested in her, it is almost 100% likely that he is doing it purely because he doesnt want mike to be with her. personally, i suggest that your friend does not go out with shawn again, because he is probably just using her. and he broke up with her over voicemail?!?!? who would want to date a guy like that? your friend deserves better.

My new best friend is a paraplegic. We have

i think that it would be okay if you asked him, but if he doesnt answer dont push the subject. i went throught the same situation with my friend. he told me he had huntingtons disease, but didnt say much more about it. i really wanted to know so i asked him and he opened up. your friend might be the same way. in fact, he may even want to talk to you about it, and just doesnt know how to bring it up. so as long as you bring up the subject in a sensitive way it should be alright. good luck!

ive never really thought about this as anything weird until recently. im 15/f and i dont have any friends my own age. ive always liked hanging out with older people, but im scared im going to start getting a bad reputation. i hardly ever hang out with anyone thats still in high school (even though im going to be a junior) and ive never dated a guy that wasnt at least 18 (oldest being 22) im not a whore, im actually a virgin. is there anything wrong with this?? or am i just freaking out? most likely you hang out with people who are older because you are more mature than most teens your age. i know this situation, i have the exact same thing. there is nothing wrong with hanging out with people who are older than you, as long as you dont get intimate with any of the guys that are over eighteen. while this is ok, it may still be wise to try and find some friends at your school as well.

well if you dont like talking on the phone, you could always get a text plan on your phone, which is the same as aim basically. but besides that if you dont like talking on the phone the only other way to stay in contact would be by sending emails or writing letters. good luck!

I have always wanted to be an actress or singer. Im not that good at singing but im very very good at acting, im not trying to sound conceited but i am and i have been told that many times before.
Lately i want it so bad i can taste it. Its amazing. The only problem is, I have no idea how to get into acting or how to start out. My mom doesnt really like the buisness because of how some of them end up.
So my main question is:

a good place to start is always acting in school plays. these will give you a chance to shine, more experience, and you can put these on applications when trying to get into acting camps and schools. its always good to have some actual experience. acting camps are good to go to, and will teach you a lot of the stuff you need to know for the business, however, if your mom isnt really into it that might be difficult to do. talk to her about why you love acting, and see if you can work out a deal with her so you can go to some camps or something of the sort. if that doesnt work, then just stick to working on school plays, and when you turn eighteen you can start looking into acting camps and schools, and minor acting parts. good luck!

the breakfast club would be a great movie to watch. although it was made in the 1980's, it is about a group of five teens from entirely different clicks that are stuck in saturday detention together. i think this movie would be good for you because it has elements of a comedy, drama, and romance film all wrapped into one, plus its easy to realte to because its about teens.

DO skater guys like skater girls? Because all the skater guys i see and meet like preppy-ish HCO girls. I know it depends on the guy, but in general. I'd also like opinions from guys, not only girls.

it all depends on the guy, but a lot of skater guys like girls that skate, because its something they can relate to. its always good to be able to do something with a girl that you both like, so if you both skate, then its a good thing. but it all depends on the guy.

there is no age repuirement to use tampax, or any brand tampons for that matter. it all depends on your parents, whether or not they allow it. but the stores will sell them to anybody.
