My name is Devin Lindsey or Vinny as my sister calls me! I am 17 years old and go to Bethel Park High school. I loooove swimming along with dancing, singing, and playing softball. I also run varsity track with is alright i supose too.

My favorite colors are orange, pink, and blue. I love to be crazy and have a good time

I've had a job working for 15+ monthes so I can answer alot about that

and I know alot about relationships in general so I can be helpful with that sometimes

especially with parent child relationships

I am a very observant person and tend to know more and care about more than most my age

and I really believe in volunteering to help animals especially at shelters. Usually its not their fault that they have to live their and its usually horrible cercimstances that bring them there and I feel terrible that they can't speak for themselves and people are too caught up in spending like $500 on this cute little pure breed puppy from a breeder just into getting rich instead of giving one of these dogs another chance at life (there are usually a handful of dogs under a year old so the i want a puppy excuse doesn't work with me)

My baby is named Lainey Mae... we got her from a shelter about 2 hours away from us when she was 7 weeks old. she is now 2 years old and the center of our family. unfortunately someone was cruel enough to go down and drug up and shoot (but luckly not kill) most of the dogs plus rob the owner (just like someone did at the shelter where I volunteer) and its now shut down

AWESOME GRADES FROM SO-SO SCHOOL OR SO-SO GRADES FROM AWESOME SCHOOL?

what's the best? see i was thinking if i choose a school like UCLA (good repuation right?) but since everyone's so smart there i'd get so-so grades, or is it better to choose a so-so school where i'd get the best grades?? like lets say i want to becom a doctor, what would be best? do they look at your grades, or where you got your degree, or both? does anyone know??

Better grades always looks better. no matter where you go you will get basically the same education. and think about it when going to a new doctor do you want a straight A student or a Straight C student working on you? to become a doctor your patients are going to be more concerned with letters than names

but either way no matter where you go it should effect your grades unless you let it. just because the school has a big known name doesn't really mean it is going to be harder at all

when people on this site give you rude answers?
I mean , if you want to answer a question its to help someone, not be rude.
So if you say something mean to someone, maybe when you ask a question someones gonna be mean toward you.
I just think its totally wrong.

well being mean isn't always bad though. sometimes its knocks some sense into people. Like the ones that asked i had sex with 10 guys tonight could i be pregnant. Sometimes dumb questions need dumb answers

I do agree its not nice to be rude when someone needs true advice but rudeness happens and you have to be able to accept that

I recently got a new job; however, I’m making approximately $400 less, a month. I have a car payment of $343 and would much rather rid myself of the car payment then have to move my 7–year–old son and myself into a small apartment. Currently, I rent an awesome home and am tied into a lease anyway.

My dilemma is that I really do like my 2002 Chrysler and I’m very afraid if I sell it, which just thinking about going thru that hassle is enough of a deterrent, that what I’ll be able to afford to buy, might be something that isn’t as dependable. I have roughly $1500-$2000k that I can allot towards a used vehicle, such as a Honda perhaps. I thought maybe it might be best to dump the $1500-2000 onto the pb of my loan (I owe $9,800) and maybe with income tax pay it down even more.

I’m a single parent and need reliable transportation…something that’ll get me from point A to point B ok.

My credit sucks as I’ve consider refinancing; however I don’t know that I’d even qualify.

For some reason, I’m just extremely indecisive about what is best to do for me and my family. Any advise would be most welcomed.

Why don't you try public transportation? so it may not be the cleanest place but heck its only going to cost you less than $100 a month and that will give you time to save up for a nicer car. or even try leasing a car. Usually over time its not the best idea but in the long run it would be better to driver a better safer car and end up paying a little more

ok so im always hearing, on tv shows, "if we could afford it, i'd love to go to..bla bla bla..(name of university) and things like that, yet i often hear "all it takes is the good grades, and then there's always a fund, or a loan that will pay for university"

you know what im saying? llike if there's always a way to pay for the university of your choice, than howcome the wholeworld doesn't choose the best universities?? like ok, you'll be in dept for a while cause you have to pay back, but if you borrow ALOT and get into a awesome collage than you'll have a bigger chance of becoming something successful so you'll be able to pay back everything..am i making any sense? you know what im saying? like why is money a big issue for people who are choosing univerities or collages?

Because it's not that easy. There isn't always a way. If your just an average white male student with an average income your chances of any kind of financial help or scholarships is very slim.

And just because you graduate from a big school doesn't really help your chances of making more money. Say you want to be a teacher Going to a large school maybe help you find work faster yes but most teachers are all going to start out at the bottom and have to work their way up no matter where they go.

And you don't get to choose how much you can borrow. You are basically told. You apply for what you want and either get accepted or rejected for that loan.

Also who wants to be in debt all of their lives? Like my father went to a pretty small school and now works for a job where he gets payed pretty well and it still took him until he was in his late 30s to pay it all off. because you get a house and get married and have kids.

Like i would love to go to a private college but its $40,000 a semester for most of them compared to 10-20,000 i can pay at a state school for just as good of an education.

and finally who wants to be in a collage. Its just a group of pictures. I would much rather go to a collEge

well,im really small (4"11) im 13,and i think i'd be cool if i was a cheerleader,because i can help out the team and stuff.but im scared at what people will think,its not that im punk or goth or anything like that,its just that stupid cheerleader label. i HATE it. bleh. but i still wanna try out..im kinda afaid that my friends wont accept me,but i thnk cheerleading will help me meet new people...and have more fun + give me more to do,so,how can i be confident about this? also do you need prior knowledge for this stuff,its only 8th grade...or is it?

IF you want it that bad.. just go for it. you can make better cheerleading friends anyways. Expirience isn't always needed but it will give you an edge. Most girls can do backhandsprings and have some sort of dance background. I am guessing your tryouts aren't till the spring or atleast for a few more weeks. If you can try to get in a few private gymnastic lessons so you can atleast do roundoffs and what not and also picking up a dance class wouldn't hurt either, but it is all up to you

that is a great breakfast! the nice thing is you can eat whatever you want (fattening wise) because it gives you tons of energy and you burn it all off. If you want to eat even better add some milk and maybe some dry cereal with that

so i tryed out for cheerleading at my school and they have like two days before actual tryouts where they teach you the dance the school song the cheer and stunting. i'm not gonna lie i did really good on all of it. and when tryouts came i made sure i looked cute while dancing and everything and when she posted the results afterwards my name wasn't on the list but my best friends was. some of the worst people trying out made it...i don't get it. one of the girls i know tryed out with her friend and they made it because her older sister is captain and her other older sister is coach. girls who were on the team for football season didn't even make it because of attitude". actually the coaches just had their younger sister (the captain) choose almost RANDOMLY without looking at abilities...they also choose favorites.this is so unfair they kicked some of the best girls off just because they don't like them...now i missed cheerleading basketball season and i'm scared to tryout for football season next year. one of my friends moms is going to the athletic director and talking about how the coaches just choose favorites...idk what tooo doo!!! i'm so depressed about not making it!!

I say that happens to everyone some point in their lives. I think the best thing you can do is get your own mom go to the athletic director. The more people they can get out there the more they will relook the whole thing. You just need to take a breather fight your hardest and go out again next year

well i know that you can ask teachers if any students mentioned it but i need other ways.. because i need money for christmaas and stuff

try giving flyers out around your neighborhood. also ask your parents to ask around work. That is how i got a few jobs

Yeah they have colored ones. Most are acuvue 2s. personally i hate them because my eyes always feel try. But they have a purple. it sounds ugly but it looks really pretty and natural. Also maybe you could try a green or light brown

where can you get black or tan uggs for cheap?(besides ebay) because i'm not gunna spend $100 on them. and today i was in marshalls and they had the exact ones i want in both colors but they only had them in a girls 4. im a womens 8 so yeah its not gonna work out lol. so where can i get themmm? or similar ones? thanks

try a different TJ maxx store or see if you can have that store call around to over stores and if all else fails try on the 4. a girls 4 is the same as a womans 6 so depending on how the shoes run they may fit better than you think. Also at sears we have ones very similar to uggs for half the price

I just moved to Selma,California with my husband. We are prior military, he is originally from here. It has been a couple of months and I haven't had much luck finding women my age to talk to. I have a son and would love to find playdates for him and possibly exchange babysitting. I am currently going to school at Fresno City. It would be great to find someone with common interests to hang around with!

I'm guessing he is atleast 2 because you mention play date. The best way is volunteer at his school/preschool if he is that age. I am sure you will easily find more parents with common interests.. or even get him into day care once a week. Not only with that give you a day off but it will allow you to meet some more people. If you have a local library most have mommy and me story time. Try getting him into something like that. Also go to your municiple center.. they maybe have a list of many more mommy and me classes

Iam 17 years old and i babysit my niece and my nephew every saturday from 3:00pm until 10:00pm and all we do is color and watch movies and iam pretty sure they get tired of it sometimes i read them stories but iam running out of ideas.cheyanne(girl is 5)kaligha is 3)and iam running out of activities for them to do please help me.

Now i saw someone mention contests... that is about the worst things you can do. because anything compition really will hurt one of their self estemes and you want to avoid that as much as possible. you never what anything where you might have to choose. the only kind of compition that is good is like both of them against you where they can both win and feel good. and also prizes are bad because that is a form of a bribe and that makes them act a certain way just for the prize. you want them to do what you ask and be good out of their own wanting

What i would do is go to your local library. Most have teacher sections with books filled with preschool activities (which is what their age group is considered) Anywhere from games to crafts and much more. I teach preschool and what we have are book themes and base everything we do on that weeks books. Maybe what you can do is maybe have them eat when you get there and once they settle down get a book out of the library for the "theme" of that evening and base everything you do off of that

like say you are reading a doctor suess book. Maybe you can make like a color scavenger hunt and they can create their own fish out of construction paper and glue for example

the only hard part if finding activities because you have to get all 3 year old ones (because if you get older ones you might get something that the younger one can't do as well and make him feel bad) just the older one might get more

But they best thing is crafts. even if you go to a craft store or dollar store and rade the clearace for stickers paper paints anything

the best thing to do is time out.. but don't sent him to his room (the girl before me said this) because your room is supose to be your safe haven not a place to get punished AND play.

Usually making him sit in a chair or a step for every minute for as old as he is (ex if hes 3 make him sit there for 3 mins) and keep doing it until he behaves and if he gets up start over

what i usually do is i have a long white beader from hollister and i layer with basically any form fitting shirt.. You cant go wrong with white!

Except I can't buy those shirts from those stores, because the sizes don't fit me. Does anyone know any places that sell similar shirts that would fit a larger girl? I'm talking XL here, and I know those stores sell that size, but I'd need an XXL in those stores because of how narrow the shirts are. Thank you.

Try torrid. They are a plus size store with todays teen fashions. there website is prob torrid.com or something like that. I have never been to the website but they have a store in my local mall

well if you use a high number of sunscreen it will prevent you from tanning and you will also loose the tan you have

usually $25 and up depends on what you got done... and they stay on pretty much until they grow out but you should get them re done every 3 weeks or so
