Q: okay...my boyfriend's mom buys me stuff all the time because he's an only child and I'm now like her adopted girl or something haha, but anyways, I wanted to get her and my boyfriend's dad something for Christmas because of this. My boyfriend says that their anniversary is just before Christmas and he suggested that I, or maybe even we, get them something to count for both occasions. Anyways, I have no idea at all what to get them, shopping for my own parents is hard enough and I've know them my whole lives. Um...his parents live on a farm, his dad works at a golf course, they make maple syrup, and they have a little dog. Any suggestions would be great! They don't have to do with the stuff I said either, original ideas are good too. Thanks!

Just let him go. Try as hard as you can. I know its not what you want to here but he obviously doesn't care as much about you as you do about him. He's not worth it. Talk it over with your friends and I can almost garuntee they'll say the same thing. Good luck and I truely hope everything works out for you in the long run.

Q: I have a '05 mustang GT and I wont let anyone drive it. I don't even let my best friend who I've known since we were 3 drive it. But, apparently, my bf thinks he should be an acceptation.
We were supposed to go to a concert last night. Well, he called me up and told me that we can't take his car because he didn't have any gas and we were running late. I told him that I didn't want to take my car because the concert was in a different city and I didn't know how to get there. He gets very irritated when he has to tell someone where to go when they are driving. So, me driving was not an option.
He then suggested that he drives my car. I said no. He asked why not and I told him what I always tell him, no one drives my car.
I said that I'd even pay for the gas and that I didn't care if we were a few min. late.
He didn't pay attention to that and got all upset because I wouldn't let him drive. We ended up in an argument and didn't go to the concert.
I have my reasons for not letting my friends drive my car. Most of which is because most of them are not responsible drivers. So I don't see why my bf feels that he should be an acceptation. I'm not going to let him drive it and I'm not going to apologize. Should I just wait until he comes around?

That is totally understandable. Confront him and make him understand where you're coming from. Tell him that you trust him and everything but you're car is just something you dont want to take a chance with. I hope all goes well and good luck! =)

Q: Ok well see I am a 13/f and my dad like hits me all the time with like eather a wooden stick or his hands or whatever he has in reach and it usually leaves bruises.....and like he always tells me when he does it that I could never call the police and get him in trouble because he will just say that it's his way of "punishing me". And like I always ask him why doesnt he just ground me or something else and he always says that he thinks this will work better.....but I really don't think it does. What should I doo?? Is this considered abuse or not??

Well his way of punishing you is abuse. It just is. I bet it would be much easier for you to describe exactly what he does to you, verbally. So if I were you, I would confront a TRUSTED adult, tell them exactly what he does, and then ask them if that is abuse. Good Luck with this and I truely hope all goes well =)

You have to confront her about it. Just walk up to her when she's looking at the stuff in her bag that's yours and say, "Oh ____ are you done with that yet?" If you walk right up to her and accuse her of stealing, she'll get angry. Just be calm and confident when you talk to her and you'll be fine. =)

I was in the exact same position as you. The exact same. Here's how I thought of it: If you and your friends were really meant to stay friends, then you will. Plus, you're going to meet SO many new people. I'm a pretty outgoing person so I would just walk up to people saying, "Hi I'm Ali, what's your name?" People wont look at you funny because they are all in the same position and are in no position to pass up friends. Hope I helped!

Q: I don't know if I'm going through a phase or not, but I have just suddenly been feeling EXTREMELY self/consious.
I feel SO ugly, SO fat, SO unpopular, and everything else teenagers feel, except all at the same time. (And yeah, I've heard the "Don't worry about whats other think" routine.) I just hate myself. Yes. I know that feeling. And it sucks. What I did, was talked to the friends I really trusted. Or, keep a journal, its a good way to vent. Or you could excersize, that will help you feel better.

Q: Girls: I have used tampons before of course, but never at school. I just started using them over the summer. We have not even 2 mins to go to the bathroom at school, and I'm worried when I'm in the bathroom changing a tampon, some girl will walk in and see me underneath the stall with one leg up. What should I do, any tips? I can flush mine, but what do I do with the applicator and wrapper? The garbage is right by the door, away from stalls. What can I do??

You could wrap it up in toiletpaper and throw it away on your way out I guess. You shouldn't feel awkward because it'll happen to every girl at one point or another. There should be little containers in each stall for that though..
