does anyone have experience going there?
if so, please share the steps about how to go about the following:
A) going on birth control w/o parents knowing
B) getting the morning after pill
thanks in advance! (link)
|
A, you're going to need money... an appointment is somewhere around $52 and the BC can be expensive too, so I hope you have a job.
B, they cannot legally call your parents for inquiring, however, if you're not over 16, they can't hand out Birth Control to you without a parent present (at least in Colorado).
C, the morning after pill has to be take within 72 hours of unprotected sex to work. It has a margin of error in effectiveness as well. Also, it too is expensive.
To set up an appointment, you just call your local PP.

I'm on depo. I had the vaginal bleeding that usually can come with it for about 3 weeks. After my husband and I had unprotected sex, the bleeding basically stopped all of a sudden. I'm an athlete so I'm really active so I don't know if that could be a reason that my only other symptom is constant thirst? I really don't know. (link)
|
Okay... Facts.
Depo is a pretty effective BC. Takes at least two weeks to kick in to full effectiveness though. Usually that's more of a four week thing, though.
Bleeding often stops abruptly after sex, because the "suction" created by the sex essentially pulls a lot of the blood out. That's why bleeding is often real heavy after sex (or during) and then you won't bleed for a while after you've cleaned up.
Athletic women experience, depending how athletic you are, less of a period and general bleeding. Your increased metabolism throws off the whole 28 day cycle thing. It even happened to my fat, lethargic butt when I went on a health kick and randomly started working out. It was neat, really.
So, are you pregnant? I don't think so. If it's been longer than 2 weeks since your unprotected sex, a pregnancy test is in order for clarification, but my opinion, based on what I know of you and what I know of your situation is that you're not pregnant.
Hope that helped.

So down there i have these bumps, and there full of like, blood and puss. i also have them on the lining on where my leg and butt meet. iv had them for years and they only hurt when they get really big but i want to know:
What are they?
How can i get rid of them?
because i want to start getting intimate with guys and i think its gross to have like, bumps and scars from popping them. (link)
|
Sounds to me like an ingrown hair problem. I have it too, in fact most of my family does. Gets REALLY bad if I try to shave down there too often or something.
A pretty decent sure is salt and sun.
When my mom and uncle were growing up, they went to the beach a lot. The combination of salt water and tanning reduced the problem to minimal, if present at all.
I do not live by a beach. I use Dead Sea Salt and Mineral Oil. You can buy them premixed sometimes, or just do it yourself. Mineral Oil you can get at a grocery, and dead sea salt you can get at your local herb shop (usually a pagan supply store carries both). You mix them, and rub it vigorously into your skin. Rinse THOROUGHLY. It will, occassionally, burn, if the salt tears one open, but the mineral oil prevents scarring, and once you've been doing it for about a week, you should notice a significant reduction in the amount and severity. After 3-4 weeks they should be so minimal you won't notice them, hardly.
If you can rope tanning into this, a tanning bed works, it helps too, by drying out the oil in the skin and closing the pores so the issue is even less likely to occur.
Hope that helped.

my face started to break out, so i bought this three in one face cream from the drug store. but i think its making my face worse, and it's making it extremely dry - enough that you can see how dry it is.
what can i do?
my face is worse than it was and i honestly have no idea how to fix it. (link)
|
Achne things are supposed to dry out your skin, as oil is what causes achne.
Stop using the cream.
Get some cream for psoriasis instead. It keeps the skin at a healthy moisture level, but also has medicine in it that can probably wipe out your achne as well.
Discontinue use when your skin is clear.

Okay well im at my friends house. First off to just let you know she has an ouijia board in the room next to us that we had played a few times in her room and all over her house, but we haven't played it in about 2 month. Okay well anyways we were in her room in the dark watching movies well she has this big photography picture like up against her wall well I was watching the movie then all of a sudden I seen like a scary face in the photograph picture it look like it had horns in the head coming out and the face was really scary and look like it was kind of popping out, but the rest of the picture I couldn't see. I even tried to blink a few times to see if it would go away then I tried saying god in my head whenever I closed my eyes, but it still wouldn't go away thats when I got really scared and told my friend to turn the light on as I was shaking and my heart was pounding. Then after that have happened I like got zoned out for a really long time while staring at the picture my friend told me I wasn't moving at all are blinking I was just sitting up staring at then all of sudden it felt like wind pressure hit me and I like jumped out of it. Then the 2nd time this occurred I was just sitting up staring at her bed then I heard a low knocking noise coming from the next room, I showed my friend were I heard it from and she started crying and was like thats exactly where the boards at. I didn't have no idea the board was in that direction ether whenever I pointed it out. Do you have any idea what's going on? Please help were freaking out right now scared to death. None of this is made up ether. (link)

Well... I'm pagan. I can totally buy into the whole Ouija Board theory of summoning a demon and whatnot... but I'm also a scientific and psychology based person, that's studied around...
That being said, I think you should see a shrink. Your experience is similar to a Schizophrenic or Psychosis episode, and that's a rather disturbing fact, but it's entirely possible. Even knowing about the Ouija board can be a symptom of Psychosis.
If you're trying to lean toward the Ouija Board summoning something malevolent, I want to reassure you that more than likely it's a poltergeist. They are a menace but not harmful. They just scare the crap out of people. That's all OuiJa bOards are really good for summoning. Other entities have other things to do than cater to people playing around with what they can't understand. This, I have found in my extensive studies on the subject.
I'm maintaining your experience was a psychotic episide, though. Your friend didn't have the same thing, the time jumps, catatonic state and hallucination... so that's all in YOUR head... Just saying.

m/16.. what things can i go to or join to help me meet new girls, cuz i go to an all boys school and most of my friends r like me wher we know very few girls... its not that i hav a tough time becomming friends with girls and talking to them its just that i just rarely ever get a chance to talk to or do somthing with girls.... (link)
|
Oh I so had this issue... and I went to an integrated school. The issue is always, "where do I meet people". I know where to do this now...
I'm not sure on where you live, but here are some all over ideas. Coffee shops are big for high school kids. I know they were for me. Coffee shops located downtown are always full of teenagers, at least here, after dark.
Think like a bored person. If your area has a boardwalk, try that. My area happens to have an all night pool hall/hookah bar, where the kids hang out (and many of us younger adults too). Hookah bars in general are fun places, even if you don't smoke.
Also, join like a Boy & Girls Club of America or something like that. Volunteer for events, or even at local animal shelters, elderly homes, etc. You'd be amazed who you can meet there.
If you're a gamer... and I think most guys CAN be... learn to play Magick the Gathering and go to a local tournament. These take place in hobby shops/trading shops across the country, usually on Friday and Saturday nights. They're fun, there are usually some girls around that are much cooler than you'd think (but have a secret life playing) and I'm sure they'd just eat you up.
If you have underage clubs in your area (use the internet) try them. They're usually 16-18 admittance only and open till curfew (usually midnight). They're fun and a great place to meet girls too.
I hope some of these ideas helped. I know that here in Denver the coffee shop thing and the pool hall are the best bets. I wish I could help more...

I have the worst cramps. The type that will make me miss school, scream in pain, throw things, throw up, have cold sweats, and physically unable to walk. I think birth control pills are the answer but my mom says I cant use them. Even though she is a nurse she thinks that they are not healthy and does not like the "stigma" attached. I do not have sex or have a boyfriend so I am not using it for birth purposes but it is a plus. I really just want to not regret being female every month. I cant miss anymore school; i have 5 AP classes to handle.
I have not been to a gynecologist yet because of my mom. I am 17 years old is there a way to get these pills myself or any convincing ideas. (link)

Go to a Planned Parenthood.
In most states, if you're over 16 and it's not an abortion or surgical issue, the PP isn't going to call your parentals or anything.
I recommend you ask for Yaz, by the way.
You'll need to be able to pay for the appointment and the birth control yourself.
When you find out if the BC is going to actually help you, that's when you should address it to your mother again. If she can, physically, see that you're not screaming in pain and are better, as a result of your BC, then she can't really ban you from using it, especially as a nurse.
I know it seems sneaky and conniving... and it is, but sometimes that is the best way to approach things like that.
Also, when you sit down with your mother, take her hand, look into her eyes and explain that the BC is soley for medical purposes and assure her that it's not because you're a trampy ho that's turning tricks behing the football field or something. You need sincerity so that she doesn't freak the eff out.

I've wanted to just go to the store and pick up a box of condoms, but I'm too embarrassed to do more than just glance at the packages as I walk through the aisle at the drugstore. Any suggestions how to make the buying process less scary? (link)
|
Well...
A, go somewhere you don't regularly shop, because then no one will remember you and that will make you feel better.
B, just grab them, and get some snacky foods. It really is a help to have the whole thing covered up.
C, remember that condoms are less embarassing to buy than telling your parents that you're pregnant... that always helped me man up...
D, if you're just too embarassed, find a younger kid and have him go buy them. They think it's a rush. My boyfriend and I made his 14 yr old friend do this back when I was like 16. It was funny, and I got my condoms embarassment free.
|
My condom broke while I had sex with my girlfriend yesterday, what do I do? (link)
|
Emergency contraception. Available at your local Planned Parenthood.
That and prayer are really your best bets here.

If I am a 16 year old guy and I'm going out with a guy that is 20 is it illegal if it is will I be able to be with him when i turn 17 (link)
|
The general guidelines... as I know them to be in Colorado, at least, are as follows.
*Legal is age 18
*Below age 18, legal is 3 years down (so 17 for you in this case)
*The age of sexual consent is 16
If you take that all together, legally you're probably pushing it by being 16. It'll be better when you're 17, and most turn their heads.
The rule change from state to state. In general they're about all the same... I think Arkansas has a lower age of consent, Michigan has a higher one, I think... I'm not 100% sure, but in general, I'm going to rule this technically statatory...
LOOP HOLE
If you have your parents' consent, you and your 20 year old boyfriend are legal. So... get some consent...

ok so i just have a few questions about the plan B pill:
1) does it work the same even when you're not on birth control?
2) what is birth control failure?
3) how do you know birth control failure has occured?
4) if i don't have sex casually, (like, maybe three times every few months), and i'm not on the pill, would plan B still work for me?
thank you to anyone who can answer these for me! (link)
|
Plan B, is something you take when you forget a condom, or you forget a pill. If you're not on birth control, it will still work. You need to take it within 72 hours of having sex, though, or it's rendered useless. It's really just a large dose of the hormones in regular birth control.
Plan B is, in essence, the "oh crap!" birth control. It's a lot easier, and less risky, to just get on a normal birth control regime. I recommend Nuva Ring. You don't have to think about it much.
|
Okay so I'm gonna be completley full out honest. I know how girls always say they think something is too big or small and apparently its normal but I really thing that the lips on my vagina are to big. Like I thought they should be pink and sometimes they are but other times they can be like a dark brown and I don't know why. I don't have sex and I never have. I'm 15 I'm 5'7 and I weigh 130 pounds. Its always been like that and yeah. Idk it really bothers me and I'm really insecure about it. Is there anyway to make them smaller ? Please helppp (link)
|
Actually, a brown color is normal for white and latina girls' vaginas... It's a matter of blood flow, and it just means your vajayjay is getting enough blood. Nothing to really worry about there.
As for your supposedly enormous lips... There's not much you can do about it at 15. I'm sure they're fine, because I, as a bisexual have seen many a set of lips in my time, and they all just fit the girl they're on... but when you're older, or if you can con your parentals into it, there's surgery you can do. It's pointless and it hurts like a MFer... but you can do it if this is really something that's going to emotionally scar you for life.

ok this is embarassing to ask.i have really bad pigmentation on my under arms.i think its because i use to shave.iv actually tried everythign to get rid of it but i cant!iv changed to waxing and that helped abit,iv tried herbal creams etc but i was wondering if anyone know anyother tips on getting rid of this pigmentation.please answer if youv tried soemthing thats worked for you!:)\
thank youuu (link)
|
I have never had this problem, so I do not guarantee anything, but I've had pigmentation appear before and there is one thing that I've found to work VERY well...
A store-bought hair bleaching kit.
Sounds silly, but if you apply that mixture for... well it varies... it will burn but not much, so if it's burning more than that take it off, but I leave it on for like 15 minutes, to the affected skin area, it lightens it up. If you do it everyday, for just that little amount of time, it should take care of your problem.
PS, not sure why you're embarassed, this sight is so annonymous it's almost silly (but good)

I am a 18 year old girl, and i have been dating this 20 year old. we have been together for 2 months and when we first started talking he wouldnt let me have a day to myself, he always wanted to be around me. All we do is party or after work one of us will go to the others house and we watch movies. Now that i started school in the mornings and i work in the afternoon i get to see him twice a week. last night at new years everything was fine, i wake up this morning and everything is fine and hour after he drops me off at home he says "we need to talk" and says that i am being too clingy and that im getting on his nervous. I see him twice a week how am i clingy??!!!??? I dont get it. (link)
|
20 year old men... not the most mature and calculated creature on the planet. You should consider this information while I'm telling what I know about scenarios like this.
A. 2 months isn't very long to be together, and it implies, to me, that you probably don't know him as well as you think you do. I've been with my 24 yr old for about 5 months and I'm still finding out precious little jewels of information about him that surprise me.
B. 20 year old men don't want to settle down, be serious and commit to someone. They think that they do, but they don't, and sooner or later their labido lets them know that.
C. 20 year old men also don't like admitting that they're complete assklowns that want to go sleep with everything. They enjoy hiding behind the illusion that they're mature, especially when dealing with younger women.
What I'm trying to say here, is that if you're only seeing him twice a week, at this point, and he's voting you're clingy, the most likely cause is because he's setting up to break up with you, make it look like it's your fault and then go bang whichever girl walks in front of him first.
There is an option B, though I find it less likely... that is that you're not telling us about the obsessive calling and texts that are making him feel trapped and suffocated. If you're doing this... and really you will be able to look down at your phone, right now, count up texts and phone calls and know if you're being a clingy psycho... then all you'll need to do is cut back and give the boy some space.
I'm still going with the first answer though. I will bet you, money, that he's trying to set up to leave you because he's a skeeze. I can almost guarantee it.
|
So i'm a 16 year old girl and i haven't had sex, i have however let my boyfriend go down on me but i took the necessary precautions to ensure he was clean, doc records etc. recently i switched body soaps to a cranberries scented Dial soap and my inner labia itch like not horribly but enough to call attention. I've had it for two days but i dont really have an unusual discharge and i dont really notice a strange smell. i applied vagisil and it stopped it for a good while but it did come back. I told my mom and she said since it doesnt burn when i pee and i dont have the symptoms of a yeast infection its probably not what i have. She said just apply the cream and the irritation will go away eventually. Can a girl get random vaginal irritation for a few days or is my mom just wrong? should i push for yeast infection medication? or possibly a doctors appointment for an otherwise mild itch that once in awhile kicks it up a notch for a like second? (link)
|
Your mom's right that if you're not having an awful burning feeling when you pee, probably not a yeast infection, or a urinary tract infection, since that's usually the other one people seem to not recognize right off with similar symptoms. I mean, not all of them come with all the symptoms. I've had both and never an itchy symptom, but onto the advice.
You mentioned changing soaps... you could, actually, just be suffering from a minimal allergic reaction to the new soap.
Or you could just have an itchy vag for no good reason.
I'd just go to the doctor. I mean, worse comes to worse they'll tell you it's just an allergy thing and have you switch soaps. If it's something more serious, though, they can tell you what's wrong.
When in doubt, see your physician.

I am asking this for a friend. my friend like to know where it says in the bible that clebrated christmass and jesus birthday. sorry bad grammer.
(link)
|
Jesus was actually born in March.
The Church was attempting to recruit more and more people for its cause, so in an attempt to convert pagans, they corresponded Jesus' birth with the winter festival. In fact, most Christmas traditions are Pagan, including Christmas trees, mistletoe, wreaths, and even the gift giving itself.
Fun fact. Easter was moved to the Spring Fertility Festival... that's why there are bunnies and eggs involved. Bunnies like to mate and Eggs are a universal new life symbol. Neato, right?
|
I took a test at a phiciatrists' office, and it said I was insane. Actually insane. They said I should get "help" but I won't. Do I really need help? NO! I'm insane, mabye even crazy, but I will NOT get "help." Any @ home things I can do? (link)
|
Without knowing the nature of the insanity you are supposedly suffering from, I can't tell you things to do.
I think it's important to realize that tests taken by yourself cannot accurately reflect true results. I, for instance, have taken tests indicating that I am Schizophrenic and Borderline Personality, but my psychiatrist has ruled that I'm simply Bipolar. The point is, you might not be crazed at all. That's the beauty of human error.
So... things you can do at home? Do some actual research... and really getting help isn't so terrible, if it turns out that you're batty. It's not the trauma you think.
|
ok well i had sex like a week ago and now im all itchy but i dont have herpys or nothing and i have discharge wht could it be and how do i get rid of it help (link)
|
Well if you didn't have herpes before, you might have it now. Or, you could have genital warts... they can hide, in case you're looking at your bits thinking "I don't see herpes or warts or anything" but they can, in fact be either inside the vagina or the urethra of the penis (since you're sexually ambiguous).
It could also just be a yeast infection, that may or may not have been brought on by engaging in sexual activity with someone that hadn't bathed in the past few days as well...
So... go to a doctor, is probably going to be the best bet here.
|
So the title pretty much says it all. I feel like the earth is moving but I'm stuck standing still. How can I make life fun again. By the way I'm 15 so it's weird that I'm having this like midlife crisis. Please help I have no idea what to do! (link)
|
Well, when I was 15, I was out on the streets trying to get arrested... not intentionally, but that was usually the underlying consequence of whatever I was doing. It was a lot of fun, but it's terribly stupid.
So... 15 and bored with life... It sounds like depression to me. At 15 the world is supposed to be moving with such velocity that boredom is always, always, overshadowed by drama and high school preoccupations (like sports or drug use, or something akin to those).
The fact you're experiencing boredom tells me that you're not living your high school years to their potential. You're supposed to be being an idiot and having fun. I'm not saying go become a heroin addict (because I'll tell you that it's not terribly exciting either) but go out with friends any chance you can. If you have no where to go, hit a park and just run around. You'll figure out something to do.
Learn to skateboard or go out for the actors guild or something. Figure out what you love and obsess about it. You're at the age for it.
|
This may be a bit long; brace yourself.
I've read stories of people getting tired of their life and just up and going to a new place. Completely starting over.
As much as change scares me because of its uncertainty, I'd love to just leave and start my life over.
I'm 18 female, just started college in August about an hour away from where I was living before. I went through about a year of "depression" because my mom and I stopped living together and she tried controlling my life when she couldn't even support me. Since then I've been better, but still a bit mentally unstable. I don't know how to deal with my feelings. I'm in counselling and it helps, but there are still days when I'm not completely happy with my life.
I'm blessed to have what I do in my life, I recognize that, but I still feel like I'm settling for less than I should. Not necessarily what I deserve, but what I'm capable of. Is it reasonable to move away and restart my life since it's my life to live anyway? Any words of advice? (link)
|
I think about leaving home everyday. I have these amazing dreams of just loading up my car and driving until I run out of money and gasoline...
I, however, am suffering from mania when I think that. You are not.
The thing about moving away is that, yes, it's hard and it sucks for a little while, but some people are meant to go out and see the world that way. I've taken sabbaticals out of state... and out of country. Spend some time in Spain, Costa Rica, the Bahamas and some other states. I'm prone to driving as far as a tank will get me, which is about half way into the nearest state... Yes, I will have to leave sometime.
It sounds to me like you should leave, start over. There's nothing wrong with it, and you're an adult now, happy to do whatever you please. If you want to pack up everything you own and go to the other side of the country and start over, then do it. There is no such thing as over your head, in my book. There is only a very hard lesson (in the event things go wrong).
