extremely dry skin?

Question Posted Friday January 1 2010, 9:33 pm

my face started to break out, so i bought this three in one face cream from the drug store. but i think its making my face worse, and it's making it extremely dry - enough that you can see how dry it is.

what can i do?
my face is worse than it was and i honestly have no idea how to fix it.

Achne things are supposed to dry out your skin, as oil is what causes achne.

Stop using the cream.

Get some cream for psoriasis instead. It keeps the skin at a healthy moisture level, but also has medicine in it that can probably wipe out your achne as well.

Discontinue use when your skin is clear.

My skin is the same way. You have to use a gentle face cream wash, and once a week scrub with a facial scrub. Also Dove deep moisture face lotion is extremely good. So do that, and you will be able to notice a difference. Also, if your skin is flaky, you can get a toothbrush and put lotion on it, and scrub off the dry skin then apply more face lotion
