Hi, this is Kate. I'm 17. My life motto is 'Live Laugh Love', I really think those are great words to live by and I'm planning to have it made into a tattoo. I'm not religious but I love learning about different religions. I write stories based on things that have happened to me because sometimes I have days where I just think 'wow that sounds like something out of a book'. to start, i was 14 and he was 17. we were constantly pressured by the "he's too old" comments. after four and a half months the relationship got stale. i just lost interest in him, that plus the pressure from my parents eventually made us call it quits. oh yeah forgot to mention he came to me and told me there was another girl who liked him. so i said "F#&@ it, have fun with her. It's over." or something along those lines.

Typically speaking, how are friends with benefits supposed to act towards one another? Right now if i were to label me and my guy friend that, it would consist of sex and things leading up to sex. we never hang out (we have 2 times), we talk or text like once or twice a week, and we never know what each other is doing through out the week. anyways, after we finished having sex the other night he asked what we were. i told him i know he doesn't want a relationship going into his senior year of high school, but he considered us "talking". which to me isn't even a real thing. so anyway, i like doing what we do but at the same time i wish we would talk more. my question is, are friends with benefits supposed to talk on a normal basis, or just have sex? it depends. me and this guy were good friends first so we talked and hung out anyways. i know some people who have been FWB and acted almost like they were dating, without the attachment and they can see other poeple. other people are like you and this guy and its almost purely for the physical stuff.
so everyone's friends with benefits relationship is different.

i need help with my dorm room. it is pretty small, but i want a few things to spice it up. mainly these things will be on the walls because i won't be able to have a lot of furniture or anything in such a small space.

got a camera? go take some pictures around campus, friends, flowers, trees, whatever. then on your computer you can use almost any simple photo editing program to change them to black and white. then get a wide ribbon. whatever color you want and just use some push pins to put it on your wall and then you can use colorful clothes pins to hang your pictures on it. you could also type up some lyrics from one of your favorite songs and put it on some nice stationary and put it on the ribbon. i've seen this in a million magazines and it looks really cute.
i have a very similar style to you. the girly girl who loves black and artsy things and the beach. i hope you like the idea!

I have a large chest, wide hips, a slim waist and a short torso. Basically, I have a very hourglass body type but my torso is so short that I appear much wider then I actually am!
What kind of tops can I wear to lengthen my torso?

i know you will just be like "oh, it doesn't matter" and "people who really care won't care" but i do care. i'm a teenager, and i care what other people think and all of my friends have them. i'm underweight and short, but so is my friend who's the same age as me and she's even more underweight than i am, but she has boobs. and her mom is flatchested, and she doesn't have a sister. my mom's kind of flat-chested, but she said she started getting boobs when she was my age. and i have none. if i gain weight, do you think i'll get boobs? because people alot thinner and smaller than me, but the same age, even have bigger boobs than me. it's not like i'm anorexic, i eat what i want when i'm hungry until i'm full. i don't make myself puke or anything stupid like that. i eat really healthy, too.

my best friend is barely an A-cup. she's 16 and she still has guys lining up at her door. my chest didn't get big enough for me to actually call them boobs until i was about 15 and even still almost 17 and im only a small b-cup and i've got about 5 guys who want me right now. so if its the guys you're worried about...if you have a good personality they really dont care. if you gain weight you will grow a little in your chest but not much. its all in your genes and if you don't get boobs now they'll come in eventually.

ok i'd say you've made some bad decisions but i wouldn't call you a slut. i am deffinately a person who understands how things just happen but that Iain kid was deffinately using you and Andy is an jerk for cheating on you. At least you were going out with the guys you slept with so its not as bad as someone who just spreads their legs to anyone who wants it. if you can resist, i'd say take a break from guys for a while. give yourself some time to think and hopefully you'll find a guy who deserves you.
go have a girls night out with a few of your best girlfriends and just go have fun. that always makes me forget about guys.

well let me tell you. im 5'8" 115lbs. b-cup but everything else is the same as you. its taken me a little while but i've become completely comfortable with who i am. i have a rediculously high metabolism and i had to start working at an ice cream stand and eat pounds of ice cream everyday to get to 115lbs. as long as you're healthy then you're fine. love yourself!! if anything, you can always build muscle in the areas that you cant gain weight. thats what i did and now i have a nice butt and my arms filled out a little.

Hey! So I'm a 15 year old girl. And I live in a smaller house. Not like super small, but small. Hehe. Anyways, after we redo our bathroom and fix carpet in one of our rooms, we intend on moving. Right now, my room is in a tropical theme. I realllyyyyy want to redo it, but if we move within a year or so, there's no point in redoing it now. If I do redo it, I want to do it in a black and white theme. I really like my tropical theme now, but I'm ready for something more sophisticated. And if I did do it here are the ideas that I have so far: Black and white beadspread, pictures of me and my friends, but black and white pics, actual black and white pictures that you can buy, maybe a lamp or something. And I was actually thinking of maybe painting one wall black, and leave the rest white, and putting a some kind of white picture on the black wall. So what I'm asking is does anyone have any other ideas? and where I can get things? And also, what should I do with the tropical things I already have. I have pictures on my wall, some were kinda expensive and a beadspread, oh, and tropical necklace holders. What should I do with that stuff when I'm ready to get rid of it?? Thank you all! (link)

i suggest not making everything black and white. you can make most of it black and white but make sure you add some colorful pillows or something. for example bedspread is white and black, one wall black the others white but have a hot pink pillow and matching lampshade. or whatever other color you like. pretty much all colors go with black and white so just something otherwise all black and white might be a little blah. don't get me wrong i like the idea a lot...just add something colorful.

a favorite of mine for any occasion are black pin stripe pants. if it's warm you can find pin stripe shorts and then wear a cute top in a bright spring color. i've worn them to funerals, weddings, graduations,concerts, they work for everything. you could pull off a low-cut shirt without seeming slutty with the black pants becasue the pants are classy and sofisticated. OR a white flowy skirt around knee length with a bright shirt. as for shoes, wedges look good with white skirts and with the black pants outfit i'd go with strappy black 2-3inch heels. if it's chilly out you could always add a lightweight sweater.
add some dangly earings and a cute necklace and maybe some bangal bracelets in colorful colors to either of these outfits and you'll be good. i don't have any suggestions so i hope this helps.

i was in your position last year. all my life i had been a really happy person, lots of friends. i used to have parties that had at least 20 people at them and they were all really good friends and then it seemed that over night i lost everything. the stress made me fail two classes and i didn't know what to do. basically what i did was i got a job which distracted my from school and friends because when i was working i didn't have time for friends. plus it brought in money and i made friends with the people i work with. i really feel for you and i know what you're going through sucks. and sucks doesnt even begin to describe it but you have to stick through it because IT WILL PASS and you'll be fine. i'm good now and i have all my friends back. i'm not going to tell you it'll happen overnight because it doesn't. it takes time and you have to keep telling yourself that this depression will pass.
so try getting a job. one that is low-stress and something fun. i work at an ice cream shop so i get to flirt with guys who come in and say "would you like some whipped cream with that?" haha. jobs that involve food are always fun no matter what it is. or you could try getting a summer job at a camp taking care of little kids if you like that sort of thing and you're old enough. little smiling faces who adore you will most likely cheer you up.
keep your head up. you'll be fine.

Hey, I'm 16, female, and I can't really choose what I want to do in life. I have many things I would like to do, but don't know which one I want more. I like helping people, so I thought maybe a social worker or a counsler. But what I really like is watching shows on homes, such as House hunters, and Flip that house. So I was thinking Real Estate or interior design, or both. But I can't draw to save my life. For this kind of work do you need to know how to draw? And what kind of schools and I look into for real estate or/and interior design? Thank you!

have you thought about architecture? its what im going for. dont worry about the drawing stuff. i cant draw a cat for my life but im talented in mechanical and architectural drawing. you're helping people get their dream homes. with the drawing, everything you do involves a ruler or some sort of guide tool so as long as you have a good imagination and the ability to come up with new designs then you'll be find. here's something i've noticed though: with architecture, technical schools like RPI (Renselear Polytech Institute) look more at your academics and grades where an art school like Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) will look more at your creativity and artistic ability.
if this isn't what you're interested in then interior design is more on the artsy end of the trade. you'd most likely be going to an art school.
real estate is more into business and sales. depending on where you work you can get some big bucks$$$$. especially in new york city...or any city really.
architects make a lot of money too.

next time you're with her and cuddling or whatever just bring up the topic. she's probably thinking the same thing as you but you're both either too shy or embarassed to say anything. don't have sex yet. experiment with the other things and see how that goes. when you're cuddling just unbutton the button on her pants and see what she says about it. if she says back off then obviously she's not ready for any of that. if she doesnt say anything then just take it slow and go from there. maybe she'll do the same to you. you really have to just talk about it with her though so you can both figure out what you're boundaries are and what you're willing to do or what you want.

My child makes comments like, "that person on TV is better than you at ..blank.., "you smell, you are the ugliest, I missed my cat more when I was gone. He prefers to be with his dad more than me, he takes his side, and comments that he would save his dad first and a toss up between me and the cat. What is up? I am about as normal a parent as it gets. No neglect, no physical abuse, no psychological abuse, no other priorities. Are kids just mean today and tell you all they think or is he just displaying his "love" in an awkward way. By the way, I am the parent that says yes to McDonald's, walmart shopping etc. (link)

he's taking advantage of your niceness. sometimes kids also just say those things to see what your reaction is. and yes he is meaner than most kids. next time you're at walmart and he wants a toy, or when he wants to eat at mcdonalds tell him that when he starts being nicer and doesn't say mean things to you then he can have mcdonalds or a toy. i know i'm young but i watch Super Nanny religiously. you could start a good behavior jar or something. just find a cookie jar or something and tell him that for every day he goes without saying something mean you'll put a paper star in the jar. then if he gets to the end of the week without saying anything mean you can treat him to dinner at mcdonalds on Friday or something.
also, talk to his father about it and make sure he's not encouraging it. for example if your son says something mean to you and then goes to his father and his father takes him out to lunch or goes and plays a game with him, that would be encouraging it. his father should make him apologize for what he said.
if you don't watch Super Nanny you should start. they have kids like this on the show all the time. and if worst comes to worst you could always call her and have her come to your house.

throwing up a lot can rot the lining of your esophogus due to the stomach acids. then you might get a hole in your esophogus and my grandpa died because he had a hole in his esophogus and after six surgeries they couldn't fix it. stomach acids will also rot your teeth so that even if you brush your teeth your breath will still smell. the stomach acids are meant to stay in your stomach, not come back up so leave them there. its really not worth it. i'm sure you were beautiful before you lost any weight. if your friends dont know about your bulemia then tell the one you are closest to and have them help you stay focused on losing weight a healthier way. im sure you'll feel better after a good workout then you would after throwing up.

yes it is too young!! i have two girls at my middle school(your age) who are pregnant. a baby is hard enough to give birth to when you're an adult. now imagine it now when you're probably still a small person.
and yes dry sex is sex with your clothes on. its basically grinding.
