Okay Im 15/f and a sophmore in highschool. I have two best friends kate and Leah.
Kate .... She always tells Leah and I about how everyone picks on her, but we never see it. She always says that someone said her outfit was ugly and stuff. But I think she does this for attention. She will never tell us who said it or anything.
BUT
She also tells us that like every guy she ever talks to, is in love with her. Like she could talk to someone for like 5 minutes and she would think that he was hardcore flirting. She always says every guy is in love with her, yet we never see it. The few guys we know like her for real, are the losers of the school.
Like at lunch, there are these really hot guys that stare at me everyday. Shes always like they were staring at US again. why do they stare at ME. They wont stop staring at ME. like its all about her. She has to steal the spotlight
She wanted to be on homecoming court really bad. She said that if she got on, she would feel like everyone liked her and thought she was pretty. She says that only pretty girls should be elected and none of them last year were pretty.
being a good friend, I got a bunch of people in my homeroom to nominate her even though I secretly dont want her to get it kind of to knock her back to earth, but Im not that mean so I still did. She ended up getting nominated. She hasnt been elected yet though. Well I have heard at least 15 people so far say "why did kate get nominated? that was random, no one likes her enough, etc."
Sooo....question
Whats her deal? I think shes so conceited, but she hides it and only I see it. Does she need the attention? Am I wrong for not wanting her to get everything she wants?
ps- its not really jealousy I know because I would want everything for Leah, because she doesnt act this way, its just kates secret craving for attention that drives me crazy (link)

i think your friend has some real issues, she is craving an awful lot of attention. you say no one lse sees it well maybe because she is craving the attention from you ,like she needs your approvel, she could also be jealous of you friendship with leah. but you know i think a friend should b there for her girl so if you feel like the friendship is worth it, then i would talk to her alone not with leah and find out what the real problem is. who knows there could be more going on in her life than just trying to be popular. good luck

My friends are always saying that when you go to heaven your always happy....but am i the only person who thinks that would suck? I mean think about it. There would be no excitment, no enthusiasim, no love, there wouldn't even be hate or sorrow...which i think we all need a little bit of. Am i the only one who thinks this way?

melissa, i think everyone has a right to their own opinoin. i dont think anyone of us has an idea of what heaven is really like. like it says in the bible, our minds can not imagine the glory, which means we are not capible of even remotly being able to guess what it is like. nobody goes and comes back, ya know. i myself personally belive we create our own heaven when we pass on and we controll how our after life will be, i belive in god, i just dot think there is one set place where everyone goes. hope this helps.

Ok yesterday at lunch he decided to come and bother me and my friends (with his 2 friends) and EVERYBODY was like can you leave bcuz they HATE him and SO they wouldnt.... SO we all moved to a diff. table so when i got home i was iming him asking him why he was so immature and shit and he was calling me a bitch and never to talk to him again and that hed die if i ever got a BF (loser)... SO he blocked me and today at lunch i walked by his table coming from the snackbar and he and those two friends screamed "slut" as i walked by and they were all laughing and shit... blood is thicker than water, i know you probley dont want to hear it but i have a similar situation and it helped me to remeber that. i have a cousin who is so annoying, well anyway he does stupid stuff around me and my friends on a reg basis at first i made fun of him so bad. but after i got some good advice it got better. heres what i did, after school i would meet with him somewhere where it was only us and i treated him like he was one of my friends, theni stated talking about all kinds of girlie things that i could totally tell he didnt give a crap about, anyway after that i think he was kinda embarassed to even look my way. or you can just tell your friends your trying to ignore him you know if there is no fuel, there is no fire. good luck

well maybe you need to think more of yourself than just being obese. you know when you have a negative outlook on yourself, others will feed off on it. try doing things that make you feel good, or take up a hobbie that could be bennificial to your situation, such as walking, youll feel better and look better. i wish you luck .

well homecoming is coming up soon ** i dont kno exactly when ** but i wanna be in shape for it. im 13, about 5'4 and 140 lbs * :[ .. most of its muscle tho * but yeuh i just wanna get my Legs slimmer, arms slimmer, and a flatter stomach. any ideas whut i can do for exercizes??? im in volleyball so there is activity there and i do cheerleading but i want liek kinda fast results. walking is about the best exercise you can do, and swimming things that dont necessarly build more muscle but help give a leaner look

it could of just been your discharge, if you have a yeast infection you will most likely know it some symptoms are discolored and smelly discharge, itching down there, if you have one you can just take an over the counter pill like monistat

stretching and swimming always works good for me and drink lots of water and avoid salty stuff, laying down or just sitting and holding your stomach makes it worse

i myself would just start a normal conversation, and eventually be like so are going to go to that homecoming dance(like its no big deal) then if they say yeah, be like well who are you taking, and if the say noone, be like well would you like to take me, and just smile and look right in there eyes, now who could turn that down.

Okay, you probably already know this, but my best friend in the whole world is Mormon. She believes she's a Christian, but I know that Mormons are not. I also know a lot of her friends too. I am worried about them. I want to be able to tell them what is wrong with it, but I don't want to be like "I have been your friend for a whole year and I love you and by the way, you are going to hell." Cuz that would really suck. I recently made a comment on someone's site saying that I believed Mormonism to be non-Christian, as did the owner of the site. My friend has seen it, and now she wants to know what I am talking about. I really want to save my friend, but she is a strong mormon with a strong mormon background, and I don't know what to do... I hate thinking that someday I may never see her again if she were to get in a car accident or something.

All of those sites may not be legit, or even helpful, but I really want to be able to do something about this. It is entirely possible that she doesn't know that she does not believe what other Christians believe. I have read so many books and such and it just kills me to know that she is involved with this and doesnt even know how bad it is.
I am not saying that Latter-day saints are bad, because most of them are really nice....I just know that their interpretation of Jesus is different and I wish there was a nice way to show them what I believe and help them.
Some of the main differences between mormons and christians:
belief that the trinity is 3 separate gods vs. the trinity is 3 persons in one god.
belief in salvation through works vs. salvation in believing in jesus christ
reguarding the book of mormon as more important than the bible vs. reguarding the bible as the only true book from god.
this has been bugging me for the last year and i really want to do something without jepordizing my friendship with her. she is curious now because of the comment on that other person's xanga.
also, if you know who i am talking about, please do not tell her i am going behind her back, because i am afraid she will be mad. i am simply trying to help her and her family and friends because i care so much about her that i never want to be uncertain of what will happen if she were to pass.... and i have a feeling that the person whose xanga i commented on will feel the same way, if not more of you....

have you tried taking your friend to church with you, so maybe without you saying anything at all she will see what the diffrences are. i know it is very touchy to alot of people talking about religion. so maybe just gently introduceing her to situations involving non morman ways she might decide she likes it with out you having to feel like you forced something on her.

My boyfriend has just moved into a house he shares with a group of friends, including one girl he has a bit of a history with. I don't particularly get along with this girl because she still harbours feelings for my boyfriend. Till now things have been a bit akward between me and this girl, but there haven't been any real outbursts. A few days ago though, I visited this house and when I went upstairs this girl hid my shoes. This is obviously ridiculously petty and bitchy of her, but I don't know how I should deal with it. I'd confront her, but I assume she'd just deny it and I don't want to create a lot of tension in their house. Part of me thinks I should just take the moral highground and absolutely ignore it, but I feel akward going back there wondering if she's going to do something similar. I guess my question is, does it sound like it's worth confronting her and potentially creating a drama about, or should I just leave it be? (link)

your right it does sound petty, and you have every right to want to bitch slap her, but on the other and less violent hand, have you ever heard the saying kill em with kindness. strangely it really works. shell get bored with no response and realise you arnt even there the see her or react to her childish ways, you are there to see your man. and if he sees you retailating to childish behavior he may want to see less of you in that house, so just enjoy your mans company, and ignore her

i think everyone has their own idea of what it takes to get into heaven, and i dont belive anyone reason is better than the other. as im sure you have learned in church faith is about your personal relationship with god, if you feel you are doing all you can, then i am sure it is enough. the fact that you are even trying says alot, and i think you know in your heart where you are going

well maybe your boyfriend had values that wont allow him to go to that next step in a relationship. it dosent necessarley mean that there is anything wrong with either one of you. if you are ready to make the move and he dosent seem to be i would wait till he does it first that way you know you are both comfertable with it, instead of doing something he is not ready for, him getting embarassed and you having a whole nother problem to worry about.

Theres this new kid this year. Hes a sophmore and im a freshmen. Well i kinda really like him .. a lot. Hes on my bus, in 2 study halls, language, science, and 4 outta 6 lunches. Well i liked him. And im like really shy around him but usually im really outgoing. Only today in lunch .. i was like .. Hey yooh, got a pen ? .. he sits at the table next to me =) Like .. next to me ! Hehe .. but anyway. I like him and I really dont know what to say to him. The only things hes said to me was answering something i asked my friend and he asked what my name was . Ya .. so like .. i have study hall with him monday .. and me and my friend might go up to him ( he sits alone in that study hall) and be like .. You look lonely , want us to sit with you ? IS that a good idea ? Well im sorta frieds with this girl who he sits with / i guess theyre friends.. but i go to a lot of sports games like volley ball and so does she. Do you think i should tell her i like him so she can tell him to go to the games? and then we can hang out outside of school. Becasue lots of people go to sports so ya know . Ok well i dont know what else to say so any other tips or advice youve got id love to hear ..

i think that if you just be yourself and not try to plan out what you are going to say to him you will be less nervous.and he will like the fact that you are being just yourself and not putting on a act. i have noticed alot in my life guys dont pay to much attention to a girl who dosent seem like she is being real.

i am sorry you life has been limited to what race others are. that is not fair to you or the other wonderful men of all races out there. i would not give advice to go behind your parents back, so maybe you could try and talk to them, and tell them how you feel. i am assuming you are not racist, do they know this. let them know that you have a right to have an oppinion, but tell them in an adult way and who knows it just might work. good luck to you, and just remeber you will only live with your parents for so long.
