hi, well im a guy, 15. well i have this friend. we usually dont see eye to eye, but he can be okay when he wants to be. The problem is, me and my other friends, think he's a bit too femenine(sp?) he's into flowers and all that junk. his big beyonce like ass doesnt help matters either. should we be okay with it seeing how he's comfortable with himself, or man him up a bit?
ah, i know what you're talking about. don't come right out and ask him if he's a fag, it will probably offend him. but when you're around him and your other friends, suggest masculine activities and stuff. maybe then he will see the light. try to help him out a bit, but don't ever tell him to his face that you think he's queer. and if it doesn't work, then i guess he's just like that and you won't be able to change him. try to still be friends with him, but if he gets too weird then it's okay to distance yourself a little bit. good luck though.
does anyone know of a place that would hire me, i'll be turning 15 within a month and a lot of places only hire people who are older, does anyone know of someplaces that hire 15 year olds?
chick-fil-a hires at 15
my dog is thorwing up bright red blood what is the problem
the problem is that you need to quit sitting there watching your dog throw up bright red blood and get it to a veterinarian.

Ok..Me and this girl I like have been friends for about a year and a half. She used to think I was weird and what not, but now she's like my sister. But the thing is...I like her. But I'm not sure if she does...She tells me how sweet I'am and that anygirl would be lucky to go out with me...But she also gives me nicknames and what not (none of them are bad) and I'm not sure if she likes me or not..You think she does? Thanks in advance...
the best thing to do is talk to her about it. i had a similar situation, except i was in the position of the girl you're talking about. my best guy friend told me that he had liked me for a really long time. i didn't think of him that way (not to say that she does or doesn't think of you that way) but we have a really good friendship and it didn't really change much. i think she does like you. just ask her.
Does anyone know of some artist that used drugs while they wrote or played music?I don't mean that as in during a period when they did drugs,I mean literally were on them while they wrote.
jimi hendrix, janis joplin... there are tons of musicians that use drugs to write. yes, pink floyd did do drugs. if you've ever listened to "dark side of the moon," you'll see what i'm talking about because it's what some call pot-smoking music.
does anyone know any good books. i like teen love stories. Like not being mean, but one of the kids get sicks and die, like those love stories.. does anyone know any good books like that?.. oh sorry this is in the wrong category, i wasnt sure what to put it under!.. thanks!!!* =]
lurlene mcdaniel writes pretty much what you just described. she has a ton of books, and they're almost always about teens who are in love and then one gets cancer. just about every library will have them.
i'm having a quiz on adverbs tomorrow
and i suck at them! i can't tell the
difference between an adverb and other
parts of speech. i can do the ones that
end in "ly" but if it doesn't end in
"ly' than i'm screwed.
how can i tell if it's an adverb? does it answer the question when or who?
it generally answers the question how? or in what way? ... for example: sally carefully baked the cookies. of course, the adverb is carefully because that's how she baked the cookies- in a careful way. as for the ones that don't end in -ly, i can't think of any right now, but just go through the different parts of the sentence and rule out the parts that absolutely cannot be adverbs. subjects? verbs? direct objects? not adverbs. here's another example: sally did a good job of baking the cookies; she baked the cookies well. "well" is the adverb because that is how she baked the cookies. it helps me to take a pen and cross out the words that can't be adverbs if i can't figure it out. but you have to think of the sentence literally and think, "okay, i know that jeff ran, but how did he run? what word describes how he ran?" and it helps me. good luck :)
I`m sick and out of school, but i got my homework, and in my math class, i don't know how to do these. Could someone PLEASE describe in GREAT detail on how to do it? Please?
Directions: identify the slope and y-intercept of the line with the given equation. Formula: y=mx + b. Problem: y=-1/3x + 6
i love these problems! okay, so i'm guessing that you already know what the slope formula stands for. y=mx+b. m is the slope (rise divided by run). b is the y-intercept. so when you take the equation y=-1/3x+6... -1/3 is the slope because it takes the place of m. 6 is the y-intercept because it takes the place of b. if you need some more info on this, please leave it in my feedback or something and tell what level math you're in so i can figure out how to explain it. and here's some more explanation anyway: okay, with y=mx+b, that means that you can take a set of points, like (3,4) for example, and they will fit the equation. and you kind of figure it out from there by plugging in the x and the y. for example: 4=m3+b. if you know the slope, and let's just say that the slope is 1/1, then you can work it out like this: 4=(1X3)+b... which simplifies to 4=3+b. easy, right? so then you would solve for b (y-intercept) and b equals 1. if you need more help, please let me know!
Would you consider it "dangerous" to consume 500 calories per day and do an hour or more of cardiovascular exercise plus crunches/push-ups/leg lifts/jumping jacks ever day?
it's very dangerous. the other columnists have outlined it for you very well, but normal people get around 2000 calories a day. it's especially dangerous because you are a teenager and still developing. it could really screw up your body... not just for a few years, but for your whole life. exercise is good, but balance it out with your food intake.
Ok this is really strange, but whenever i'm like hiding or something and it's dark and i'm alone by myself or hiding with someone else (for example pulling a prank or man hunt or hide and seek) I have to go the the bathroom. It's really weird! I'm just sitting there quiet and I have to go! I'm curious, why is that? I know it's gross.
haha, i know exactly what you're talking about! it's not out of the ordinary at all, in fact, my friends and i all go through the same thing (we pull a lot of pranks). i think it's because you're excited and all riled up so you have to pee. the best thing to do is get up and go to the bathroom! but yeah, definitely normal.
I recently went back to school after missing over a week for mono. Im falling really far behind in almost all of my classes, and im really worried. My teachers have been lenient and have given me time for makeup work, but its just not enough. I have to much work and not enough time. Im losing sleep because of the workload and as a result of this, im not getting any better sick wise. I have the flu now and just cant seem to get this work done. I thought about skipping a day of school to catch up on things but I cant miss any more days of school without getting points deducted from my grades for it. How can I manage the workload and still get sleep and not be so stressed out?
start blocking off your time. set a schedule for yourself... for example, let's just say that you want to go to bed at 8:00 and you get home from school at 4:00 (i know this is farfetched). that gives you four hours to get your stuff done, and you have time to sleep. of course, you also have to make time to eat. but if i were you, do the most important homework first! if you're not doing so great in a certain class, do that homework first. i know this will make me sound like a horrible person, but if you have homework and you know how to do it and it just takes up time, get somebody else to do it for you or copy their answers. seriously. and then repay them somehow later. just don't skip another day of school because you will get further behind. make sure you take vitamins and drink lots of fluids so you can get better. this next weekend, try to get some sleep! i hope you start feeling better :)
On facebook if you want to report a group because it is not apporiate, will other people see if you reported it?
no, it's all confidential. the only people who see it are the people who run facebook.
theres a song in the butterfly effect, and these are some of the words (im not sure if its right..but i know its close.) does anyone know the name of it? or who its by? thanks.
"i never said thank you for that
and i hope i get one more chance
what would you think of me now
so lucky, so strong so proud
i never said thank you for that
i never had a chance
may angels lead you now"
ahh, that's a beautiful song. "hear you me" by jimmy eat world. it was played at a funeral i went to, and everybody sang the words.
Alright, here's the deal. My best guy friend has recently sort of been brushing his hands up against mine and stuff, I don't know if it's accidental or on purpose, but it's been happening alot. I like him alot, nobody knows it. I want to hold his hand so bad, but i'm afraid that if I do i'll look like an idiot....like if what he has been doing is accidental, ya know. What should i dooooooo? It's killing me! Whenever he does it I get all nervous and giddy!
here's what i would do: the next time he does that, hold his hand and wait for a reaction. if he gives you a look like, "what the heck are you doing?" then just make a joke out of it, like "you're the one that keeps brushing up against my hand" or something. so if he gives you a bad reaction, then just let go and laugh it off and make fun of him. but most likely he won't do that because to me it's obvious he wants to hold your hand. go for it :)
what does it mean when you're playing guitar and someone says that your fingers have to 'callus over'...so you get used to playing.
im going to start guitar soon, and i want to know what that means. thanks.
if you're right handed, then it's going to happen to your left hand when you fret chords and stuff. basically, the strings cut into your fingers and after a while calluses form on your fingertips... it's just hardened skin... and then it doesn't hurt to play anymore. if you're left handed, then it will be your right hand. but yeah. for a few weeks, they hurt like crap but you have to keep playing and then they'll build up. you can tell if somebody's a guitar player or not by their fingertips.
i share a sprint plan with my dad but i was wondering is it possible to stay with sprint but get a phone from another phone company? like could i buy a phone from verison, take it to the sprint store and put a sprint plan on it?
no, it doesn't work that way. the phones from a given phone company... take cingular, for instance. are built to work only with cingular plans. same thing with verizon and sprint. sprint phones are built to work only with sprint plans, and verizon phones are built to work only with verizon plans. it wouldn't work. the sim cards don't fit. so good idea, but it won't work.
so apparently some guy at the GNC told my boyfriend that you absolutely cannot lose muscle..that you can only have deflated muscle and lose mass to the muscle
i think that is bullshit but what do you think?
i would say that since the dude works at the gnc, he should be right... but i don't think he is. you can lose muscle. people that have serious illnesses, like muscular dystrophy or even some forms of cancer, can lose muscle. so yeah, i agree with you.
ok im not that fat i weigh 100 pounds and im 5'5

thanx in advance ....
(no im not anorexic ppl that say tha are so anoying uggh!.)
i want to live a healthier lifestyle
and im not where i physically want to be
*keep it zen baby !
thanx again in advance!
okay. do you know that you are like 30 pounds underweight? do you know that you could be classified as anorexic? i know, i know, "people that say that are so annoying" yeah, maybe i am being annoying, but it could save your life. honestly, nobody wants to look at somebody who is skin and bones. it is freaking disgusting. if anything, you should be trying to gain weight, not lose it. if you want a healthier lifestyle, just try eating better foods and taking vitamins every day. but do not try to lose weight. do you really want to look like that skank nicole ritchie? no, didn't think so. i don't really care what you rate me, but you need to hear this from a peer (yeah, i'm fifteen too). do you honestly think that if you lose weight that you are going to feel better about yourself? you won't. do you honestly think that if you lose weight that you are going to impress somebody? you won't. it will keep snowballing into something you will not be able to control. believe me, i've watched my friends go through this. i had a friend who was trying to lose weight because she thought it would make her feel better about herself. wrong. finally, she gave up on losing weight just to satisfy herself, and started to see how beautiful she really is. she's the happiest she's ever been in her life. you know, if you wanted to gain muscle mass, that's fine, but to do that you need to worry about lifting weights, not how many calories you burn. oh, and those dreaded calories? they give you the energy you need for everyday life. and those dreaded carbs? they are the basic energy source for all living things. so when you cut back on cals and carbs, what are you really cutting back on?
i like the idea of bermuda shorts but i dont know if they would be flattering on me. im in between 5'3" and 5'4", and usually a size 4-6 in jeans. since im kind of short i dont know if they would work for me... and im kind of curvy too, more up top than in the hips though. would they look good?
i think they would look good, since i think you and i are about the same size. i have sort of an hourglass figure, and they look good on me. the only way of knowing is trying some on :)
There's this strapless dress I want to wear.
How do people have the confidence to wear them? there's only one zipper in the back that could go down and your dress would slip or if someone tugged the bottom it would go down! And worse is that I have small boobs so it'd prob won't hold up. Help!
you could wear a padded strapless bra with it to keep it up. if that sounds very unlike you (padded bras or whatever), let me assure you that it doesn't actually make you look any different, but it keeps your dress up. also, how many people go tugging the bottom of your dresses? just make sure that the dress fits at the top. if it does, it will stay. you might have to adjust yourself periodically, but that's normal too. it's okay if the dress moves say, if you jump up and down or something (like at a dance) because then you can just pull it back up, or hold it. but it shouldn't be falling around your ankles. if it's too loose, you can safety pin it, or get it altered. here's how i get the confidence to wear strapless dresses (i have small boobs too): i know that everybody else is afraid to wear them because they think the dress will fall down. so when people see me wearing a strapless dress, they're like, "holy crap, she is confident and looks good in that dress!" yeah. if you're afraid of the zipper going down in the back, get a seamstress to add some buttons or something on the back. there are always ways around that. well, happy dress wearing!
