Ok, so yes, direct linking is bad, but why does Photobucket provide you a direct link? Like if you're looking at pics, and you click on a pic, it provides you with a link.... Why? Don't they know it's bad? ^.^;

See that the URL ends in GIF, which is an image. There are no ads on the page, and it's not possible to put ads on the page. If enough people clicked this link, that image would be removed.
If Photobucket provides you with a hotlink (ends in jpg, gif, png, etc), then you don't need to worry. I'm sure if they do that, they have some arrangement that makes them money, and that they won't universally delete the picture.
Remember that hotlinking isn't *always* bad. If you personally uploaded it somewhere, it's fine to hotlink to the place you uploaded it to. You can hotlink any image by just downloading it and uploading it somewhere. Or you can put .nyud.net after the top-level domain. So if you want to turn a bad hotlink:
example.com/image/stuff.jpg
into a good hotlink, do this:
example.com.nyud.net/image/stuff.jpg
See I added ".nyud.net" after the .com. If it was example.org, you would turn it into example.org.nyud.net. If it was test.example.net, you would turn it into test.example.net.nyud.net.

Direct linking/hotlinking is bad. When you direct link to something, you're using someone else's bandwidth without giving them ad revenue; it's basically stealing. Linking to a URL that ends in .html, .htm, .asp, or .php is not hotlinking, and you can do that as much as you want.
Photobucket etc. are hosts, and they have bandwidth limits on your image. So when you put a link on photobucket, YOU own it, and anyone who hotlinks it is stealing from you. If someone hotlinks it and makes it really popular, photobucket might take down the image or even suspend your account, even though it's not your fault.
If the idea of stealing isn't enough to deter you from hotlinking, then remember that the person who owns the image can replace it with any other image whenever they want. Many people have been goatse'd and many lulz have been had because of this.
Instead of hotlinking, you right click the image and "save". Then you upload that to imageshack, hotlinkfiles, photobucket, etc.

I switched from IE to Firefox. The only trouble is, my MSN seems to still want to run on IE. I don't know how to change that, or if it even can be changed.
It wouldn't be a problem, except when I close my hotmail, I get an error message saying to send an error report. I don't know how to fix this.
I wouldn't bother fixing it if I could get my MSN messenger/mail to run on Firefox.
Is that even possible? If not, how would I fix whatever is wrong with IE?

No, that's not possbile. Microsoft makes MSN, and they want you to use IE, so they don't allow you to use other browsers.
To stop those annoying error messages system-wide, go to start, run. Type:
services.msc
and press enter. On the list on the right side of the window, find "error reporting". Right click it and click "properties". On the dropdown, change "automatic" to "disabled". Click ok on everything. Disabling error reporting doesn't have any negative effect in XP; vista has some extra support features that this will disable.
You can use Pidgin or Miranda instead of MSN, they have all of the same features and you can talk to your friends who use MSN, AOL, yahoo, myspace IM, and google talk, all from one program:

Not on store-bought CDs. Those are pressed, not burned, and can't be written to. You can't with CD-Rs either. You can with CD-RWs; in your CD burner you need to erase the entire disk, and then re-burn the tracks you want to it.

Okay so I came home and my brother was logged into the computer on his own account..Which is limited. And I logged onto mine which is also the Administrator. My desktop picture is gone..And everything is running normal..Like new. But everything is gone! Music, pictures, etc. EVERYTHING. My computer has been acting funny for a while and opened ad-disabled internet. So it all of a sudden fixed itself? What happened?! Can I get all of it back or anything?
Go to start, run and type this:
explorer "%systemdrive%\documents and settings"
Go to tools, folder options. Then the view tab, and select "show hidden files and folders". Press ok and then press F5. If your account is there, you should be able to access all of your files through this. "Default user" is Administrator's folder. If your files aren't here, your account has been deleted.
You shouldn't use Administrator for anything other than system maintanence. It's files are reset sometimes.

Okay one random day I opened up my internet browser which is Internet Explorer and it shows a page saying "Internet Explorer is currently running without add-ons." I have no idea what happened or why it showed that? The internet is fine but I can't download the software I HAD BEFORE THAT HAPPENED! Like Flash? Or open any program or any website with flash or anything like that. Can I enable it..Fix it?! ANYTHING?! Please help pleaaaseee.

Go to start, run. Type this:

If that makes IE run normally, you're using the wrong shortcut to open IE. Right click the desktop and make a "new","shortcut". The "location" is:
"%systemdrive%\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe"
And from now on use that shortcut. You can drag it to the quick launch bar or the start menu.
If the first command doesn't open IE, you should reinstall IE7. Go to start, run and type:
appwiz.cpl
Check "show updates" at the top. Uninstall IE7. Restart the computer. Download and install it again here:

You can't view it. Sites that have wishlists use browser cookies to store them temporarily, but those are often deleted within days, and then it's unrecoverable. You should create an account if you want to use the wishlist feature.

When you first get new cell phones are they kind of slow? I don't remember when I got my last one. They just dropped my new phone off today while I was at school, the stupid people left it in the sun all day. Could that be why it's slow right now, because they left it in the sun? They probably will card you, so I don't recommend it. If you get out of there quickly, you might not get in trouble. If you do get in legal trouble, you'll get a 500 dollar fine, have to take an awareness class, lose your license for a few months, and have to do community service.

I am a 15 year old female. I spend my summers down the shore where i have a beach house with my cousin who is 17. You want to buy things that are very low, but will probably improve. Don't buy something high, or something that you think is doing as good as they possibly can.
After you buy, wait until right before you think they are going to fail, then sell it.
So, you a share of Microsoft at 15. They're doing steadily better. After it goes up to 25, you hear that there is a major security issue with Vista, and that will affect sales. At that point you should sell it. You made a profit of 10.
