i have braces
for about a year and i get them off in a year
when i get them off, will there be brown marks where my braces were?
and if so how do i prevent them

it's actually really rare to have weird markings on your teeth after getting braces off. all of my friends have had braces at some point (i had them twice), and their teeth look normal. as long as you don't eat like, permanent hair dye your teeth should be just the way they were. just be sure to brush and mouthwash often. if your teeth aren't as white as you'd like them to be once you get your braces off, you can always do crest white strips. you get results in three days, it's amazing :)

i've never read the book, but an exposition is the setting. aka, time, place, initial characters, et cetera. basically, how the story starts out.

ok so heres the deal, i know its illegal to purchase alcohol under 21, does that go for drinking to? and if you got drunk or drank would you be able to be sent to jail for it if your under 21, cuz ive been wasted and im 13.. i know what could happen being underage, do lecture me, im just wondering, and i havent drank since that i can remember.
yes, it is illegal to purchase and/or consume alcohol under the age of 21. it is also illegal to give alcohol to a minor (under 21). however, it isn't a big deal if your parents let you have a sip or something because it's not enough to mess up your system and you're under supervision so you don't do anything stupid, like crash a car. just stay away from alcohol until you're 21. you have plenty of time after that when you can get wasted all you want and you won't get thrown in jail. the police probably wouldn't send you to jail per se, but they could do other things, like suspend your driver's license or maybe even make you do community service. i'm not sure about the punishment, but hopefully you won't ever have to deal with the punishment because hopefully you won't get completely smashed again until you're older.
hey guys! well, here's the thing. For every marking period, our english teacher assigns us two books to read. And this marking period, we had to read Ender's Game and Fahrenheit 451. (dunno if anyone has ever heard of them). Well, I'm done with Ender's Game (nearly, at least) and so there's no prob with that. The only thing that is left is Fahrehnheit 451, which is about 180 pages long, but a pretty difficult read. The book exam for these two books for me is on tuesday. Unfortunately, I can't spend the entire day reading them tomorrow, since I have other crap to do. How can a person, when reading their book in a VERY limited amount of time, NOT fall asleep while doing it? or...what's a more efficient way to read books? PLEASE ;_; I need this....Thanks much :D
sparknotes.com. it probably won't be as good for your exam with those books because it doesn't have all the details, but you get the gist of the book. you could always drink anything with caffeine... coffee, soft drinks, energy drinks. you could also set little goals for yourself by chapter. for example, you could say, "when i finish chapter whatever, i can eat a handful of m&ms" or something. it always works for me :) good luck!

it's probably a blackberry. most new phones can do that stuff though. actually, it's possible for me to do that with my razr, but i just choose not to.
do you think 18 is too young to get married? I love my fiance SO much, but almost every one thinks were young and stupid... well evry1 else thats older. What do you think?
here's what i think, and what my mom's told me from her personal experience. she got married when she was 20. wrong decision, but she found out it was a wrong decision after she had two kids (my siblings). honestly, true love waits. it is so much better, in my opinion, to wait until you are in your twenties at least. you need to go to college, and go see the world, and go experience new things. is it really going to be practical to have a family and try to finish growing up at the same time? it's ultimately your decision, but if you can wait at least a few years it would be a much better situation for you both after having actual life experience.
I'm 15 years old and I can't swallow pills. :(
I can swallow pasta whole and recently I swallowed a vitamin that was coated in something that made it slippery so it was easier to swallow but not everything comes like that, of course. And I don't remember how I did that. It's really annoying because I just got these pills but I CANNOT swallow them. I've practiced with tic tacs but even they don't go down. I try putting it in my mouth then gulping water and tilting my head back but it doesn't work. What's wrong with meee?!
i definitely feel your pain. i couldn't swallow pills for the longest time! but, here's what i do... first of all, i relax my tongue in my mouth. then i put the pill on the very back of my tongue. then i take a medium gulp of water, throw my head back and sit there until i can swallow it. some people just can't swallow pills, but i promise that you can learn. but, if you can't swallow them, you can always crush the pills up and just eat them (gross, i know) or mix them into something. like you could mix them into a coke or something, or maybe yogurt or apple sauce.

is it true that if you dye your hair while on your period that your hair turns green or yellow or whatever?
nope, that's not true at all. the only reason i can think of that would make your hair turn green is if you were in a swimming pool. i knew one girl who was a really light blonde, and she went swimming twice in one day and only her bangs turned green and wouldn't go back to normal for two days. we thought she had dyed it green!

yes, you play them at the same time. those are called chords, and you fret/strum the notes at the same time to make a chord.

first of all, your real age is actually normal for a freshman. i'm a freshman... i turn 16 this july. two of my good friends turned 16 this may. and there are four kids in my spanish class that are 16. if anything, everybody envies them because they can drive. think about it... when it's time for you to drive, what are you going to do? are you going to wait until you're seventeen just so your friends will think you're younger? that's dumb. people shouldn't like you/not like you based on your age. and your friends probably wouldn't even care. they'll find out eventually and be pissed that you thought you had to lie to them, unless you tell them at some point. if you're the same person that keeps asking questions about being a year older, chill out for a few minutes and take a deep breath. nobody really cares. honestly. nobody will think any better/worse of you. did you get held back a year or something? so did i. big deal, right? no. yeah, my spanish teacher asked me how old i was, so i could reply in spanish. i can't really tell you to lie because that will never get you anywhere. but you need to make this decision for yourself... when are you going to tell the truth? seriously. you don't have to make a huge deal out of it, but quit trying to hide it. it's lying to your friends.

i've seen something on tv about that, and it was about this woman who had serious mental issues. i'm not sure exactly why she pretended to be pregnant, but she was messed up in the head. also, i've seen people on oprah pretend to be pregnant/fat and go to a new high school to see how people treat them.
this storey is kinda hard to explain because you dont really know where i live or how my neighborhood is set up.

when i was behind the bushes just incase that guy passed me again i want to be hidden, i called my older brother (hes 16 im 13 turning 14 in june) and told him "come up and get me. i think somebodys following me." and i told him where i was and he was like okay okay. so he ran from my house to street 4 and i came out of the bushes and was like yessssss ah. haha.
so when we were walking down my street (street 1) i saw a silver car at the end of the street. and i sure if it was the same silver car that i had seen before since i have really bad eyesight, but it was just sitting there and then it just puled into someones dirve way. so i dont know. then we just ran home. haha.

there's not really a way to know for sure at this point if he was following you (i think he was, i've had that happen to me before) but i think that what you did was absolutely right. i've been in that situation before, and the best thing to do is get out of it as quickly as possible. it only takes a second for somebody to grab you. in the meantime, when you go running, bring a buddy and always make sure you have your cell phone. it wouldn't hurt to go running at different times throughout the day... what i mean is, so if anybody is following you, they won't get used to your running schedule. but just remember, if anybody approaches you while you're out and about in your neighborhood and you don't know them... and they look suspicious... don't even think about how to react, just run. it helps if you get a license plate number. but the safest thing to do is get away as quickly as you possibly can.

if i were you i would do ten lines from the balcony scene in romeo and juliet. that would probably be the easiest to remember, and the easiest for other people to understand.
okay so there is this girl in our school and her dad recentley got a good job. it's not a great job though. she thinks she can afford anything and she told everybody that her mustang 2007 was over $100,000 dollars. NOT true. it isn't fully loaded and it has no special features. can that possibly be true???????? next she all told us she bought this dress for $400 dollars. no one believes her though because it's pretty plain and not that cute. she is crazy.

the car is entirely possible. it depends on what kind of mustang though. the dress also makes sense. formal dresses like that are normally pretty steep. a lot of the formals i've bought in the past have been a lot of money. i know girls like that, honestly. but here's my story so you can understand my advice better. my parents both came from middle class families. they worked their butts off (and are still doing it), and it's safe to say that our net worth is over a million dollars. however, they were brought up to be respectful and not flaunt any money they had, and that's the way i've been brought up. my family has always had money, but people wouldn't really realize that just by meeting me. so it's a big change for the girl that you know. obviously she doesn't understand that to have money, you don't have to talk about money. and it's just rude for her to flaunt it like that. if i were you, i'd just stay away from her... her business is her business, and if she wants to share useless info, then that's fine, but that doesn't mean that you need to get involved. it's her problem if she wants to make a fool of herself by talking about how much money she has.
Ok so my mom told me last night that this weekend we are painting my room. Ugh I really want to i think it will look nice but i dont have any idea what color i want it to be. here's an idea, because i don't really know you or your style: go take a look in your clothing in your closet and see what colors stand out to you. if you have like twenty red shirts, then think about painting it red! if i were you, i would do two colors... like three walls your major color, and then one wall an accent color. so if you went with red for three walls, you might want to do like cream for the other wall. it's just a thought. if i were you, i would go for a warm color, or maybe even an earthy color. personally, i love the inside of places like starbucks- you might want to think about doing your walls/ceiling those colors. think about places that you feel most at home. what colors are in those places?
