Hey There Delilah

I'm trying to learn "Hey There Delilah" by the Plain White T's on my guitar. I can get all of the notes, execpt for the ones that are like on top of each other. How do you play those? yes, you play them at the same time. those are called chords, and you fret/strum the notes at the same time to make a chord.
