My mom and I kinda fell apart about a year ago. I thought we had patched things up pretty well but after noticing some of my friends talking to their moms, I realized how bad things I had gotten.
My mom doesn't call to check up on me, she doesn't hug me if I'm crying or if I'm hurt. She merely says "Stop crying." She doesn't say I love you even after I've said it to her, normally she'll just say goodbye. She stopped cooking meals for me and when I have a problem she says its my problem not hers.
Sure, she's not responsible for everything in my life. But I'm a 16yr old girl and sometimes I need my mom :( she just doesn't seem to be there.
I don't know what to say to her to help this out, she seems too blocked off to care.
it sounds like your mom has some issues. i wouldn't take it to mean that she doesn't love you though. is she depressed or trapped in some way? i wish i could help you more. she should be taking care of you still. your still a kid.

My mom is constantly letting my older brother who is 24 do whatever he wants. Let me also tell you that I am 21 so saying that he is old enough to do those things won't fly. I do well in school, he is lazy won't do anything. He convinces my mom to do his homework for him and when I ask for help she claims she doesn't have time. I work my butt off to pay my bills, car payment every month, and do what I can around the house. HE doesn't have to pay anything! He has two credit cards which he is not paying, a truck payment, and a cell phone bill. HE has a job and uses his money to buy cds. What does my mom do pays for everything of his and when I have a little trouble managing one of my bills, she goes crazy when I ask if she can pay a 10 dollar payment. She also say she will do something then won't when it comes to me but when it comes to Ronnie she will shift the world. He gets sick, she pampers him, when I get sick, she thinks I am faking. I am really sick now and she is making me go to work. When Ronnie gets sick, he can just call off whenever he wants. I a convinced the way she raised him, is the way he is. She ignores, never listens, and doesn't care about any accomplishments I achieve. I got a book published that will be going in the stores next month and she says "ok". Never says happy birthday to me but goes all happy for Ronnie.
what the hell. anyway. it sounds like its about time for BOTH of you to move out of your house. honestly it sounds to me like you haven't done anything that a mother wouldn't love. i'm not sure what is going through your mom's mind which is why i have no idea what to tell you about the way she is acting, but it sounds to me like you need a life of your own, maybe if she sees that you don't NEED her, she will want you to be near her. i really honestly don't know why she would be acting this way. it is very immature, and very hurtful for you. anyway the only thing i think you are doing wrong is sticking around to hear her complaints. also congratulations on writing a book! damn. that is huge! kudos love.

I had just got an I-pod nano, but like in a month it did not work, I mean it does work, but one day I charged it and like always it says do not disconnect. I came back 3 hrs later and it did not charge. I unplugged it but it stayed saying do not disconnect. I have a lump kinda like a bubble? On my right breast near the center and it hurts when I rub against it or touch it ...I really don't know what it is but its pretty big ...does anyone know what it is? I'm scared it could be cancer ..
if you haven't yet you should tell your parent, and then go see the doctor. you would be increadibly young for breast cancer, but you still have to go to the doctor and they will most likely give you a breast exam first. also my mom has models of breasts because she works in breast cancer research and the lumps in those models feel really hard, not like a bubble. i could be wrong about what it would feel like though. you definately should go to the doctor though. maybe you have an infection or something. :/ i hope i helped a little bit.

Catholic school isn't that bad. i went to catholic school for 12 years though so i've never been in a public school. my gradeschool was co-ed and my highschool was all-girls. if your going to an all girls school thats awesome because you don't have to worry so much about how you look and its easier to focus. although its still easy to daydream and goof off with your friends. its also nice to be able to just ask ANYONE for a tampon or something hahah. anyway stereotypically catholic girls are supposed to be "good" girls but some of them are just as bad as other girls. I think in public schools it might just be a little more radical in that sense. you probably will be in a uniform which is no big deal its actually kindof nice because you don't have to think about what to wear. i'm actually kindof glad i had a uniform. you can still express yourself by how you do your hair or if you want to and have time in the morning your makeup/nailpolish. or the purse you carry. just be yourself and you will most likely find your niche pretty quickly. entering high school is scary for anyone. i was so terrified but you get used to your new routine fairly quickly and you get to experience a whole new world. i hope you have an awesome highschool experience. :)
