Q: I was wondering the ball park range of a price for my first car. I just want something small and it would deffinatly be used. Just kinda a beater that would be cheap but not too cheap, if you know what i mean.
How much would this cost?

i agree with jediforhire- my sister's first car is a '99 honda civic, and it runs WAY better than my '02 dodge neon.

i do like my neon though. we've had a few peoblems with the brakes, but that maybe just be that paticular car. we got it for $5,000 i think, and my sister's was $4,000. so, i'd go for a used honda civic or accord, toyota corolla, so any foreign-made small car. (:

Q: Hi i'm 17 years old and me and my boyfriend (he is also 17) have been dating for 2 and a half years. I am so in love with him and I know that he loves me, but I think that since we have been dating for so long that he feels like he doesn't have to be romantic or say things like "I love you so much blah blah...you know the stuff that makes you feel happy really in love. Well how do I tell him that I miss it when he use to say stuff like that to me and how he used to treat me special. Now I feel like we are some married old couple I mean don't get me wrong everything is good I just miss that first time feelings of when he said sweet things to me. I'm sorry if this is really confusing ,but Idon't know what else to do.

Wow- this is exactly my situation like, last week.

First, talk to him about it a litte. Don't really complain or anything, just say something along the lines of "You know what I was thinking about the other day?" ("no, what?") "About how we used to say all those really cute things like when we first started dating. I sort of miss it." If he doesn't do/say anything, that's perfectly fine. At least you gave him a hint.

Then, write him a super mushy love note. Just explain how much you love him, you can't live without him, etc., and maybe hint at it again in the letter.

Hopefully this will make him realize how much he loves you. And then the cuteness will pick up again. (:

Q: Ok so im giving up meat for lent but i need some ideas. i go to a really small school so they don't have much of a variety for food. so i was thinking of packing my lunch i just really need some idea of stuff i could pack for lunch and it cant be kept cold it will be in my locker. i pack my lunch and i take these club cracker puffs (you can get them at wal*mart) and jif to go cups to dip them in peanut butter, if you like that. and i get some of those packs of gummy fruit snacks. and occasional i add an apple or orange. or you could add a bag of chips. if you like a certain type of cereal, you could bring it in a baggie (dry), and you could just buy one of the milk cartons at school and bring a bowl from home if you wanted to eat it that way.

Q: ok...so I am with this guy that I really do love but he has 2 big problems...his friends. When its just me and him together its great, but when we are around his friends they are always "cutting on me" and just being flat out jerks. My boyfriend tells them to stop but they don't listen and now him and his friends are fighting and I feel like its my fault. What should I do about all this??? Because I am trying to make it work but it just doesn't seem like they are willing to be nice to me. Plus I haven't done anything to them that would make them be mean towards me.

my boyfriend's friends are the same way with me. one of them even made me cry on time, he was so mean. they're jerks and my boyfriend told them to quit, but they didn't listen either, just like in your case. they had NO reason at all, and it's not like i'm one of those girlfriends that doesn't let her boyfriend hang out with his boys.

what i did was, when they started being rude, i just simply asked/said "is that really necessary? i mean, seriously, do you not have anything else to do to make yourself feel better than diss me because i'm his girlfriend, and you dont have one?" that should shut them up. if it doesn't, then grab your boyfriend's hand and just walk away. they should get the picture that they're just being immature.

as for the being in the cause of their fighting, it's his friend's problem, not yours. you didn't do anything wrong. i know how you feel. over time, his friends has begun to really accept me more and now they're cool with me. so maybe just giving it time will help. (:

Q: okay so it's time for me to get a new phone, now i really want a sidekick because i am a huge texter and like that i can go on aim, and on myspace/facebook. but i want a phone with a good camera, and that i could play music. anyone that has the sidekick lx, hows the camera?

i have a pantech duo, excusively from at&t. it has a slide-out keyboard. and it slides to a number pad too. it's camera isn't like amazing or anything, but it is pretty good. and you can upload music to it. just make sure to get a storage card for it.

i'm not sure exactly what you mean.
that picture looks like it was taken from the top of a building, with a high megapixel camera, and the saturation has been increased to make things look more colorful.

Q: So, this might be a little long and confusing. Basically my best friend, who've I've known since 2nd grade is getting really annoying. She's turning really fake [getting into the whole hollister thing, uggs, shirts that are too small for her, etc (though I dont' really have anything against that, its just not like the kind of person she is)]. She always pretends that she worries soo much about different things, when she really doesn't. No offense to her, but she always talks about how she wants to go to a top name college, but she doesn't really have any chance in getting into it. She's just become really annoying, and fake. She says OMG and what the frick in this really annoying, complaining voice. I've NEVER talked behind her back before, but she keeps on coming up to me and talks how she hates her one friend. She always takls about how she doesn't want to be friends with her, and basically talks behind her back and just complains all of the time. We sit together at lunch, and I can't stand to even talk to her anymore. I usually just sit there really quiet and do my homework. Basically, I don't know what to do. I really just need a break from her, but I dont' really know what to do. I mean I don't want to be really mean about it, or tell her these things because I know it would crush her, I just have nooo idea what to do. I literally can't stand another day sitting at the lunch table listening to her complain (and I can't really switch lunch tables because then she would ask me what's wrong) help pleassse.

tell her this. it might be hard, but it would definitely give her a wake-up call. if you can't face her directly, write her a note and give it to her.

i drive an '02 dodge neon (it's my first car), and it's okay. i doesn't go very fast though, haha. i've had a few problems with it but it also had a lot of miles on it before i got it. my sister drives a '99 honda civic, and it drives awesome (as all hondas do). i'd recommend either of our cars as a first car, they're simple. and hondas' are always rated as some of the safest cars out there. hope i helped (:

i've heard that if you already have an ipod, it's not worth it, because the main draw is both in one. and i heard that it takes a while to get used to texting on.

i'd just wait until the prices on it go down, OR until they have a new generation of them (since they always make new versions of all their stuff).

Q: Ok this is going to be kind of long because I'm going to sort of rant. But anyway all my life I've gone to a Catholic School and my family is like really religous and filled with good wholesome morals. I was raised and taught to be the same my whole life and up until now I haven't hesistated at all to play the "good girl".

But lately, I don't know what happened to me. I've taken a complete 180 degree turn and I'm sort of ashamed at who I've become. I'm sixteen and about to go in my senior year of high school. I've been drinking like a LOT and partying. I've been sneaking out, lying to my parents and everyone around me. I never go where I tell my parents I go, and usually end up driving out of town in the middle of the night (which I'm not allowed to do AT all) and sleeping at my boyfriends house, and with people I really don't even know. Now I started smoking cigarettes and been smoking those a LOT. (about 7-8 a day) and now I'm also starting to smoke like weed too. To top it off, my parents are HUGE on abstinence and I just set up an appoinment at a clinic to go on birth control.

It seems like I'm losing who I was, and I'm not strong enough to stay the way I was.

Too be honest, I'm really scared. I mean I love doing what I do, but at the same time I'm scared of how much I changed and the kind of person I'm becoming. I'm doing things that I always used to be against, and if my parents ever found out they'd literally disown me. Also, my religion prohibits all these activites and I'm also scared of how quickly my religous and moral being are deteroriating.

I don't really know what advice I'm asking, but am I like a "bad kid"? I do keep my grades really high in school and plan on attending a high rate college, but I feel like thats not enough. Basically, I'm just really scared. So any help would be appreciated I guess...

anyway, i would simply ease into stopping it all. if it makes you feel as guilty as it seems, you KNOW you're not doing the right thing and your letting your parents down, then you might as well stop it all. you will feel so much better about yourself when you do, and you'll have a clear conscious. you could still go out and have fun, but without the bad influences of weed or cigs or alcohol.

Q: So I have a really great boyfriend, like he's amazing, very cute,sweet and everything.
Just that whenever we cuddle on the couch, he always places his band under my shirt, and just plays with my stomach rubs it, and jiggles it and stuff.
He says stuff like "Ah, you're little belly is so cute."
But I feel weird, because I'm not chubby or anything, quite average, but I do have a tiny bit of a tummy. And he's skelatal.
It just makes me akward, but since he likes to I won't stop him, I just don't know why he likes it so much.

my boyfriend does this to me too. and he's skinny like your boyfriend sounds. it doesn't bother me much, and if he says your tummy is cute, maybe he just likes it? guys are fascinated by our females bodies, since they feel like their bodies have to be perfect.

you might just hint that you dont like it by moving around or turning over or just simply moving his hand when it moves in that direction.

not legally. but i've seen a rediculously tech-savvy guy at my school somehow get videos on it. i have NO idea how, but it's technically possible. but i'd say it's pretty tough. so, basically, no.

Q: My mom got me a Ralph Lauren white turtleneck sweater for Christmas, and I love it. The only problem is that it looks sort of plain by itself. I want to add SOMETHING to it to make it look less plain. I was thinking a thick, brown leather belt slung across my waist. Do you think that would work? What else could I do with it?

Q: So there's this guy, & I've known him for a little while and we really didn't start talking until about two-three weeks ago. Since then he has just made me like him so much. We talk to each other everyday. I can open up to him really easily & we're just total goofballs around each other. We usually talk on myspace im or by texts, and a few times I'll call him or he'll call me. I go to his house sometimes or we'll be at Subway at the same time. His sister works there & she's one of my friends.
Anyways, he always jokes around with me & teases me. Whenever I leave from seeing him he asks me for a hug. Then the way he looks at me just really makes me think he likes me too. I also spent the night at his house one night after a little get together thing he had, and he was cuddling up to me on the couch, rubbing my arms and stuff. Then when he went to go to bed he said I could sleep with him in his bed & he ended up holding & cuddling with me all night. :) We didn't do anything so don't worry. He told me he wasn't trying to do anything with me anytime soon.
The thing is though he just got out of a 7-year relationship. I know he still loves her but he broke up with her. So I'm not sure if he still wants to be with her or what.
I also was talking to his friend who asked me if I liked him. I asked his friend back if the guy liked me and he said "Well, its just that he just got out of a relationship.." and really didn't say anything else. His friend also made a comment to the guy before I left when we were hugging.. something about "Aww, its your next wife."

just keep things where they are right now, to make sure you're not just his rebound girl after the last relationship. if, after a few more weeks, he stills seems interested, then i'd go for it.

Q: 13/f.My friend can't hear herself sing.She gets bad grades and she's quite DUMB to say one thing.She has no like particular good "talent" except maybe art which she is good at but not really good..She's also kinda ugly,short, and very overweight.She really wants to be popular,skinny,pretty and all but she is lazy and in my opinion,doesn't try very hard.She likes music,and wanted to be a singer(found out a month ago and convinced her or at least I hope I convinced her)that it isn't the thing for her.I recommended a guitarist(not really) and an artist,but i don't think it'll happen.She is always teased by boys and other girls and she is always saying "I hate (whoever whoever that gossips about her) or I hate myself or I wanna die."Her personality doesn't stand out either because she is very self-conscious,sensitive,shy,quiet,unconfident,and just plain WEAK.Also,I can tell she is very jealous of me,which I HATE.She makes me mad when she acts so mean when I complain about boys chasing me,and random guys on the internet saying I'm pretty and all.I'm quite the opposite of her:friendly,cheerful,popular,slim,tall,pretty,smart,and such(well I guess sometimes I brag to her).I don't think it really matters and I try to point out the things that she is better at,which is her drawing and her tame character trait.Otherwise,she's a really good friend.She laughs easily and doesn't get mad too quick.She's patient,forgiving,and loyal.I really like her and I don't think I'm HALF as obedient as her.Can anyone give me advice on convincing her that looks and reputation aren't all??

definedeyes answer is EXACTLY what i would say as well. you might not want to "complain" about your problems, since you're obviously so much more "popular" than she is. seriously, think about if you were her. would you really want your "best friend" complaining about her popularity problems to you, while you weren't remotely "popular"?

and what is the deal with popularity, anyway? sure, it's great to be loved by a lot of people. but remind her AND YOURSELF that being REAL is so much more cool than being popular.

hiii! i'm caroline. i'm eighteen years old, and just started my freshman year of college. i have a magificent boyfriend who i love more than anything. we've been together over three years. he's also my best friend. speaking of which, my other best friends are also pretty fantastic. another huge part of my heart is devoted to god. he's blessed me with so much more than i deserve, and even though i fall short on a daily basis, he's still there for me, every step of the way. i'm a pretty simple girl- i love anything fun, texting, being outdoors, swimming, playing soccer, frisbee, or watching football, spending time with my family, and most of all- living my life to the absolute fullest.
