Just make sure that you get alot of protein. You can get protein in nuts, eggs, cheese, milk, peanut butter, beans, and cheese. Also if you're giving up meat, make sure you take vitamins. A daily multi-vitamin is good, and you can take protein supplements. Make sure that you get all your nutrients because it can be bad on your health if you don't. Subway has a sandwich called Vegie Delite which is pretty much any vegtable you tell them to put on it, which you can make at home easily. Also in the vegetarian section at the grocery store there is a brand called Boca. They have all sorts of fake meat (made from soybeans, rich in protein) like burgers, lasagna, bacon, breakfast tacos, chilly, chicken, etc.

Holly22co answered Wednesday January 30 2008, 6:18 pm: when you pack your lunch, try packing salads, small bags of chips, pudding cups, fruits, or something non-meaty. hotpockets also has cheese filled pockets with no meat. baby carrots are good too..(i used to be vegetarian.) try to get a copy of your schools lunch schedule..then you can see what has meat and what doesnt..so u dont alwayys have to pack your lunch..it can get old after a while. good luck! =) [ Holly22co's advice column | Ask Holly22co A Question ]
also, since you're not going to be eating meat, you will probably need to make sure that you are taking vitamins or an iron supplement or something. a lot of iron in our diet is supposed to come from meat, and it would suck if you developed an iron deficiency because of lent.
