Q: if your boyfreind was wearing a condum could you still get pregnat i mean does the sperm go through the condum?
There's always a chance. Even if he is wearing a condom, the risk is about...1 in 10. I would suggest taking more than one precaution. Perhaps, birth control and a condom. You can never be too safe. Or, just...

don't have sex...either one.

Q: im in total love with this boy i mean i admire him and everyhing but i just dont think he is right for me i mean im the kind of girl that likes to go camping and hiking and to the snow and travel but all he does is watch football all day i mean my parents say that he is not good enough for me buti think he is i mean he is great a sports really smart and is great with kids but im really adventuras and i dont think i can make him do anything and im worried all he will want to do is sit around al day so how can i get him to do stuff and is he right for me?
Umm..you can't MAKE a guy right for you. He either is or he isn't. And I'm a little confused, you say you're,"totally in love" with him, but then you go on to say that you're not sure he's right for you. If he likes you back, you could give him a chance and just see if you connect. Opposites attract sometimes. Give him a chance, and if things aren't right between you two, well...you've got a new friend.

Q: Okay, I'm only in the 8th grade but lately I've be thinking about my future and college. Well I've thought about it really hard and decide that I want to go to Yale University. The only problem is I don't know what requirments it takes to get excapted. Like how well do I have to do in grade school? What should my scores be? Any one who can give me any info would be great!
*Future*
Yale is a very prestigous university. I'm not sure of the exact requirements, but I would suggest you do quite well in school. With more kids wanting to go to college each year, and more scholarship oppurtunities becoming available, things aren't going to be easy for you when you finally do graduate. Be as studious as possible, and get involved in extracurriculars. School's don't only look at your grades, but how involved you were. Join the swim team, or try out for a play. Have a good relationship with your teachers, and try your hardest at everything you do. Lastly, have some other schools in mind. Think about what you want to become after college and look for schools with the best education in that area. Not everyone's going to be able to get into Yale, so keep that in mind. Also, don't spend your whole childhood planning the future, you've still got a lot of time to think about it, and if you always think about the future, you'll never live the present!

Q: I have a big nasty zit on my nose. I want it gone, NOW! What do I do? I'm so mad... it's really noticable, and I'm 26 years old! I shouldn't be getting pimples!
I get those sometimes. Honestly, just pop it. At least that way it won't hurt as much. Then clean it out with anti-bacterial soap and rinse it really well. It won't go away in a matter of minutes, but in a couple days it should be gone.

Q: OK, yesterday, I was in my bedroom and I was getting my journal out to write in it and i couldn't find my pencil, then i saw it on the table and it was too far for me to reach it and when I was stretching my arm to get it, it moved into my hand. My window wasn't open so that rules out wind. Am I telekenisis?
Most likely not. I think you probably just bumped the table while you were trying to get it. That happens to me sometimes. However, there's always the possibility...

Q: some of my good friends go to a different school. recently, one of them met a friend that goes to my school. i'm scared that they'll be best friends and lock me out. What should I do?
This is a very common fear when friends go to a different school. Chances are, you two will still be great friends. Sure, she'll have another friend, but that doesn't change the way she feels about you. Maybe the three of you should try to do something as a group. That way everyone makes newe friends.

If by chance she does become best friends with the other girl..wel..that's the way it goes. Growing up is a cause for change in people. Kids find what they're really passionate about, and they meet new people through after school activities and lose some old friends. This is perfectly normal. It may make you sad for awhile, but try and join a group activity to take your thoughts off of your old friend. Chances are, you'll end up making some new ones!

Q: When I was going out with my ex boyfriend,*Greg me and his best friend were sort of into each other.Actually really into each other. It turned out Mike was going out with someone else so I dumped him. After that Mike made sure that me and his friend didn't hook up. I was avoiding Mike, so he made sure whenever I was talking to him that he was in the situation. It got uncomfortable for us to be together. So I haven't seen or talked to the friend,*Marc for a while. But I can't get him out of my head. I really miss him, and I can't stop thinking about him. However I know it would hurt Greg if I went out with MArc,and I don't want to hurt him since he sounds sorry for what he did. But I'm still lusting after Marc...what do I do?
First let me get this straight....Mike=Greg, correct?

Greg hurt you first. He's over with, done. If you hurt him now, that's his own problem. He shouldn't be able to stop you from going out with his friend. Sure, he might be mad for awhile, but I suggest going out with Marc. If you both feel strongly for each other, it could work out to be a great relationship. Greg doesn't deserve to have your love, and he most definitley doesn't reserve the right to push you around.

dwarp
Hiya! I'm dwarp. A crazy 19 year old from Chicago with too much time on her hands.I started this column when I was about 14, I think and I keep coming back. My friends tend to come to me for advice, so I've gotten pretty good at answering most problems. I'm a crazy Greek vegetarian, and yes, I have seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding. It's exactly like my family, so I am really great at answering questions about insane families. I study political science and international studies and I like to learn languages. I speak English, French, German, a bit of Greek, and I'm learning Italian next semester. I've had lots of weirdo love/sex-life experiences, so I'm pretty knowledgeable in that area. Ummm.....ask me anything!
Peace!
