Q: Me and my best friend kelli used to really like this kid named brian...after we both had our share of asking him out he turned both of us down on the account of wanting to be single....now he barely ever talks to us and we really miss him...we went to friendly's all 3 of us together...and a winter carnival but i miss him a lot and so does she...we used to be a three sum but he kind of left...i love him as a friend and i want to earn him back for the both of us...please help me hes a really good friend...i love him like a brother

My advice for you is that you should tell him that you and your friend doesn't want him to act so strangely around you. If you 3 were such good friends before, try talking to him and telling him how you two miss hanging out with him just as friends and for him not to feel weird. Talking to him is a very good idea! Q: hey i run cross country and when i run i get this sharp pain in my shoulder does any one know what this could be?

Track is great! It helps you fit but the problem with shoulder might be due to how you are sleeping. Do you sleep in a hard bed or a soft one? Your pillows maybe. If your pillows are too high I suggest lowering them because it does have an effect on your shoulders. If it's not how you sleep, maybe it's how you walk! Stand up straight and if you can't put a book on top of your head and stand up (don't walk or the books will fall on your foot lol). And the books will help you stay up straight. If it is your sleeping try the pillow thing or get new soft beddings. Tell your parents about it, they'll have an idea maybe. Goodluck and hope my advice helps!

Q: My brother is away for the week and i'm normally allowed to stay up to 11 and my brother makes sure i go to bed. So i'm staying up later (a lot later) and i'm eating a lot at night. i'm afraid that i'm going to gain a lot of weight because i'm not going to be able to work it off. i don't want to throw it up because 1.that's just nasty 2.it's unhealthy 3.if i try it i might continue and become bulimic. could someone help me on what to do?

If that really does happen to you, I feel that you should use the regular schedule your brother had on you. It helped you and it worked so maybe you should go back to it. If you feel that it's not as much freedom as you have right now, then go for it! Why not? Try it! Your weight will probably go away, when your brother comes back and you'll be back to normal. Q: I got a lot of my friends mad at me for a stupid reason (long story) and now i only have....hm....2 friends.I think. I'm really bored because I have nothing to do. I don't really care that they don't like me but it bothers me that they think I did something really "bad" when I dissagree. This is a stupid question....I need help on what I should do about my "friends" and what I could do in my spare time by myself.

Go confront them and tell them you need sometime alone. They'll somepletely udnerstand. FRiends always understand! lol It would really help if you also try telling that you didn't do anything "bad". If you have the right feelings, ignore them if they disagree or not be your friends anymore. They'll live and you will too. I think you should have the heart to actually talk to him! Mingle and maybe flirt with him. Someday, when your friendship grows, tell him how you feel before it's too late. Go for it! Q: sorry this is so long but please take the time to read it. my best friend...lets call her Alyssa, she has been my best friend for about 2 years. we've had our fights and everything like a normal friendship. right? haha. but the past winter, we didnt hang out at all because her dad started to hate me. so she wasnt allowed to hang out with me. once he found me, my brother, and her walking home from school together and he got so pissed. he was yelling at her so loudly outside, in front of all the neighbors. so we never let him see us hang out together. but hes in the army or something and he leaves home for a long period of time (like a month and a half) and then her mom started hating me for no reason. and so we never were allowed to chill out together. and we live half a block away. BUT now, her mom likes me..and her dad is gone but they dont tell him that alyssa is allowed to come over to my house now. her mom lets alyssa come to my house everyday now! haha. but maybe not everyday. but im wondering..isnt this wrong? i mean, her dad thinks that his daughter is staying home but shes actually haning out with me. is that wrong? alyssa is so cool and i really want to keep being her best friend. (im not a lezbian and im not bi)

I think, if your mom is cool with the fact that you two are being good friends, then that rocks! If there is a problem when Alyss'as dad returns, ask Alyss'as mom to talk to her dad. Maybe, he'll understand because you two are such good friends! Try it! But if you feel that hiding your friendship is the right thing to do, follow your heart and let it decide for you. Q: I don't wear make-up AT ALL, and i wanted to start wearing some eye-shadow and things like that. I'm white, have golden-hazel eyes, and really red lips. THANX!!

If you're really white, I suggest putting on a skin toner. And you can choose from light to dark. If you're really white, the skin toner would really help. I bet your eyes are pretty and try some natural colors that fade a little and it really reflects. For your lips, try putting on a nice light shade of lipstick and add on lip gloss on top of it. Q: Alright well Just a fiew minutes ago this guy asked meh out. And a fiew weeks ago I really wanted to go out with him till I did stuff with him ( i sorta reegret it ) and I felt like he used meh. Tell him you don't want to be used. Have the heart to actually, face him and tell him face to face that you do not want to start anything with him without having a real relationship. Q: I'm re-doing my entire room & I've been looking for new beddings but I can't find anything. I want to try to find a bedding that has some red in it because red is my favorite color. Macy's is also a great place to get nice Ralf Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Barbie lol, etc. beddings. They have really pretty red color beddings. So you might want to try at Macys. Hope my advice helps. Goodluck with your beddings search! lol

If you don't need or you don't know how to use a tampon. Stick with a regular pads because it's easier to put on and in my opinion, it's better. It's natural to have it when you were 10 and don't be so freaked out. It's perfectly natural. Goodluck!

Hair thinning just makes your hair thin and NOT thick, heavy. It's very pretty and light.

Q: alright. this will be long.
me and my boyfriend have known eachother since kindergarden. we went out in sixth grade, and broke up after 4 months of seeing eachother.
i am in love with him, and he knows it, because we have been going out again since the 2nd. last night he told me he loved me as well.
my parents do not approve of him though. i think it is because my mom thinks he lies to me (which he doesnt) and my dad never liked any boy i went out with (because that's just how dads are) my sister doesnt like him, either, and i dont know why she doesnt.
how can i get my family to approve of him?

Talk about your boyfriend around your parents. Tell them how good he is and how honest and great he is. You can make anything up if you wish. Love is everything! Do anything to make your parents approve nad if they don't, why should you care? Love is love and if you two love each other try not to worry about it. If they cant understand how perfect you two are meant to be, then why not just tell your family "mom, dad, sister WE ARE IN LOVE AND IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK NOW BECAUSE YOU WILL NEVER UNDERTSNAD HOW MUCH I LOVE HIM!" Q: My course at university only allows me to take a certain number of credits (this is the same for all students, irrespective of how they do academically). There is this course I'd really like to do, but I've already got all the credits I'm allowed to take and there's nothing I can really drop. I like this course enough that I'm thinking of doing it despite the fact that I wouldn't be allowed to take the exam at the end and wouldn't get any creditpoints from it which would go towards my final graduating grade. Is this a stupid idea? I really can't see there being issues with me managing my time even with the additional load, as my current work load is really reasonable. On the other hand, I feel like I'd be wasting time doing an elective I'd get no credit for academically. It's by no means an easy course and it's not something that will be useful to me, it's just something I'm interested in. Is it worth taking on more just because it's interesting?

If you think you aren't over worked, go for the elective! But, I feel taht you should forget about it since it's not going to give you anything. If you do have time, you should if you really wanted to. Follow your heart! Hope my advice helps! Goodluck!

Q: i'm 14 years old, and i was raped about a month ago. my friend got helped me get a couple of pregnancy tests, and they all turned up positive. i'm really scared to tell my parents, because i was at a party that i wasn't supposed to be at when it happened. i'm a volleyball player for my school, and last year we almost won the championships. i don't want to throw my entire life away, but i know that i would never be able to put my baby up for adoption. i'd wonder every day if she/he was safe, or if they hated me for abandoning them. i'm strongly against abortion...but i'm starting to wonder if maybe that's the right choice in this situation. i haven't told either of my parents yet...should i keep the baby or is abortion ok sometimes?

I feel that you should tell your parents about it. It doesn't matter about why you went to the party (say you wanted some fun and you were clogged in the house for so long) and when you do tell your parents, FILE A CASE AT THE POLICE STATION for your rape. Test for HIV! You never know! You won't throw your life away, you'll just take a pause and you'll get back on track soone ror later. TELL YOUR PARENTS!!! If you want to look preppy, try wearing BRIGHT colors. Like a blouse inside and sweater outside and you hsow the colar and cuffs. Those are very nice. And wear skirts that have bright nice colors on them. Hair clips are very pretty and preppy with little bunnies and flowers on them. The store is probably: Urban Outfitters, American Eagle (maybe), Hollister, Clairs (for hair and products), and if you're pretty young and a teenager, try Limited Too stores. Hope this helps. Q: Hi. I am usually the one to give advice..but anyway. I have acne all over my forehead and some on my cheeks. I've tried a bunch of products but none of them seem to work. I've gone to a dermatologist and they prescribed some facial pads for my acne. It reduced the acne on my cheeks alot but not my head. Any product suggestions that will help with my acne on my forehead? Not too pricey please. Also if you can specify where I can buy a product you reccoment that would be great.

Pro-active works well with acne on my forehead. It's about $60 so if taht's too expensive, why not try Nuetregena or Cetaphil. Cetaphil, you can find on the beauty product section with all the shapoos and other face products found in K-mart or Target or Wal-mart. They're less than $10. And here's a BIG BIG BIG tip, DRINK LOTS OF WATER!!! WATER WATER WATER!!! It helps your skin. Hope my advice helps! Goodluck!
