Well these past few days I've been seeing guys that are totally hot at school!! Which is crazy beacuse I thought all the hott guys graduated. Anyway, the guys are probably like juniors and seniors...I'm a sophmore and I really really want to meet some of these guys. But I dont know ANYTHING about them. Their random guys that I think are cute and when I get the chance I'll probably tell them they are.(I'm not shy) But usally they smile or laugh and say "Thanks" and then I end up leaving. Maybe its because I'm young, or because I'm ugly...I dont know! I need help. How do I get these guys to talk to me???
First of all you're not ugly!!Keep that head held high girl!Guys dig girls with confidence!!Well,try finding out who some of their friends are and scoping out some info that way,like what they're into,what kinda girls they like,if they're seeing anyone.Maybe even put your friends on the "case" to do a little detective work!Usually it's not hard to find out something about a guy!If you yourself get the chance to talk to them,try asking questions that require more than a yes or no answer.Ask them things like "hey are you goin to the game on friday?" or "do you know so-and-so,i would swear you look so familiar"(even if they don't,lol).If you're in a class with them ask about the homework or complain about the teacher,crack jokes about the teacher back and forth.That way you're showing the guy that you have a good personality,and that you're into him,but you're not throwing yourself at him!!!When you see him,make eye contact and smile.If you have the courage to say "hey you're really hot" try puttin a cutsie kinda spin on it like "can you tell me somethin? just how did you get so hot?" or "why in the world are you so good looking? exactly how many girls do you have chasin after you?" and then just smile kinda slyly,wink maybe kinda pinch his stomach or touch his arm real lightly and walk away.The fine art of seduction! ;) Best of luck,I hope some of this helps!!!Let me know if anything happens,like if you find out anything about one of them!! :)

Relationships are really rough when you start to distance yourselves.But in reality you'll break her heart a lot worse if you stay with her while your feelings for your best friend are growing and progressing.You're right,you don't want to be dishonest with her.Talk with her and let her know that while you still care for her,the fact that your drifting apart from one another is pretty obvious,and it's putting a huge strain on the relationship.If you may want to go back with her later on down the line,maybe say that you just feel in it's both of your best interests if you take a break right now and maybe see other people.That would also give you a chance to examine your feelings for your best friend,find out if she feels the same,and if you'd like to try taking things a step further than friends.I'm sorry this isn't much help!!!I hope it helped some!Good luck!Keep me posted on what happens! :)

Hi. This is my first question ^_^
I'm 14 (15 next month) and I just got into high school. Last year and all the school years before it I went to a private seventh-day adventist school. This year I switched over to public school because the private school was getting worse and I wanted to take Japanese and Computer Programming, which it didn't offer.
Well, on the first day of school, I didn't know -anyone- and this girl, let's call her "D", invited me to eat lunch with her and her friend (who we can call "G").
They're very nice, and we've become like best friends. D and G have known each other forever, and are best friends, so I sort of feel like the third wheel. My best friend since I was 5 goes to that school, but she has a different lunch period and since she's a junior we have no classes together.
I'm not really like D and G. As I've gotten to know them, I see they're sort of like the girls who talk about other girls just because they're prettier or smarter than them (without realizing it, unfortunately many females do this unintentionally and ignorantly). I know some people now, and I think I'd want to eat lunch with them more, but I would feel bad leaving D and G alone, since our table is less filled than others.
They always talk about these guys they like and how hot they are, and I don't like the same type of guys. Usually, I won't like a guy before talking to him, I need to know the intellectual side of them first, but D and G know I don't like their type and they constantly talk about their "guys" (they also stalk them, and I don't really want to get a stalker reputation since I don't, I was just talking with D and G).
Should I ditch them, and how so?

First of all,WOW you sound like an extremely intelligent girl!! Good for you! Ok,that's a tough situation because you don't want anyone's feelings to get hurt.Why don't you try alternating days,meaning eat with D & G on certain days,and with your new friends on others.That would be a slow way of easing into the transition of lunch tables.If you really feel like you can't stand another day with D & G just sit them down one day at lunch and explain to them very nicely,but straight-forward,that you feel like you guys are going in seperate directions.Let them know that you still care about them very much,and you'll always be greatful for how they kind of took you under their wings when you came there.But tell them how you simply don't enjoy a lot of the same things that they do,and that you like to keep an open mind to ALL people,no matter their popularity or race or looks,and so you think it's best that you start eating lunch with some different people.Let them know that you don't want any hard feelings and that you're always there for them if they need you.If they're truly decent people,and honestly are your friends,they should respect that.I hope this helps some!Best of luck!! ;)

Ok, I like the whole “crimp” style, but when I crimp my hair it goes all poofy. Is there any way I can still crimp my hair w/o it going poof on me? Thnx everyone!
As soon as you get out of the shower apply a frizz serum(John Frieda Frizz Ease is THE BEST!!)to wet hair and apply a good heat protector spray to protect your hair from being fried from all the styling(I really like Pantene's Heat Protector Spray).Then blow dry your hair straight,and run over it with a straightening/flat iron.Your best bet with that is to take your time and seperate your hair into 1 inch sections and then run the straightening/flat iron over that section.Give your hair a few minutes after that,and spritz your hair brush with a good holding spray(I like LA Looks Finishing Spray),and then run the brush thru your hair.Next use your crimping iron and style it however you want it,in sections,crimped all over,etc.Top it off with a good hairspray that has extra hold to it(again I love LA Looks Hairsprays)!!Hope this helps ya out!! ;)

Well,you can always buy the thicker,more crayon-like pencils that practicaly smudge themselves.A good one is Bad Gal by Benefit.But the number 1 way to smudge your liner is to draw a thick line on your lash line and then take a q-tip(prefferably those with the pointed tips!)and run it along your liner in a back and forth motion very lightly.That is a sure fire way to smudge your eyeliner!!Hope this helps! :)

I'm searching for a good birth control method to use. I have taken Ortho Tri-Cyclen, and Depro Vera before, and would not be incredubly unwilling to try them again. The problem is that I have a very hard time remembering the pill each day, and I have heard bad things about the shot. Such as: weight gain, increase in discharge... and I find it hard to believe that it is healthy to go through your life without having your period.
I know that this should be a question for my gynocologist, but I could not get an appointment for another month or so. I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on a good method of birth control. Perhaps some good and bad experiences you have had?

Well,I'm 21 and my doctor started me on Ortho Tri-cyclen and I didn't react well to it.It messed with my heart condition(Sinus Tachacardia),and I actuall broke out in a rash!So much for helping your skin huh?Haha! But my doc switched me to a pill called Modicon,and I really love it.I've had no complications and it actually HAS helped to clear up my skin!!! I've been taking it for about 2 1/2 years now and have never missed a pill.What I find helpful in remembering is to designate a time of the day that you will take your pill.Your doc should tell you if it's better for you to take it at night or in the morning.That way,before you know it,it becomes a habit.I've been in the middle of the mall and just known when it was my time!Also,make sure to take the placebo pills because that will help keep you in your routine!If you have an alarm on your cell phone,set it for that time before you leave if you're going out.If you'll be home,set an alarm clock for your time.Maybe make the time something you'll easily remember,like the time of your favorite TV show,or something.I hope some of this helped you a little!! ;)

You should be just fine around your kitty!! I'm 21-yrs-old and when my mom was pregnant with me,she was put on bed rest for a long time.Our old cat Smedley was RIGHT by her side the whole time!She always tells me how he seemed to be protecting her and she swears he knew something was going on because whatever side of her belly I was on,that's where he would lay.She tells me all the time about how she was afraid they'd have to get rid of him once I was born,but that he simply sniffed me and went on about his business!Haha!And until the day he died,he protected me with all he had!You should have no worries with your cat.Actually,they can be quite soothing,and nurturing.They know when something is going on with their owner!Congratulations on the baby!!I'm sure you'll have a happy,healthy,beautiful little baby!! :)

Okay im the starting Varsity quarterback for my high school football team. We have practice 4 days a week and every other saturday from 4 to 6:30. I have also been in choir and all the school plays with mainly leading parts for my whole life, and its never been a problem interfearing with football before but now this year the play practice is going to be every night that football is except tell 7!! (and not every other saturday) I know the choir/play director very well and she wants me to do the play so bad, and my coach asked me about it when i talked to him.. HELP!?!???
Wow,that's hard!!I'm sure everyone's telling you to follow your heart and mind to what you love the best out of the two,and that is very true,but I think it's obvious you love both.Maybe you could speak with your choir/play director about taking a break right now for football season,and then joining in again when the season is over.That way you'd get the best of both worlds.Or maybe you could negotiate a schedule with the choir/play director where you are permitted to leave certain rehearsals early,or skip some rehearsals.I know this is a rough thing because you also have to think about the fact that you have homework,dinner,a shower,and maybe a little time to SIT DOWN when you get home!! Neosporan works great!! If it scars you can always spring for Mederma,it's kinda pricey but it does work.Also,Vitamin E capsules,when broken open,the liquid inside of them can be rubbed onto a cut/scar to make it heal faster and take the redness away!! Hope this helps! ;)
