i have been feeling bad for a while.. i think i have the disease depression... im almost 16 years old and until recently i havent told anyone except my best friend... i want to tell my mom and go to the doctor to find out for real but im scared... im afraid she wont understand or not take me seriously or get mad... some of my symptoms are: alot of insecurities with myself, feeling empty, trapped, i always wanna stay home and sleep, i hate myself, im sick of my life, and i have alot of regrets.... im not so bad that im thinking of suicide though.. i would NEVER do that.... the thing is i think i have a pretty good life and im lucky for the things i have and that makes me feel really guilty about feeling bad..... i have a good house, im healthy, i have a family who loves me, my parents are together, and i have alot of stuff but i still feel depressed....... i no there are people who have it so much worse than me and all that makes me feel so much worse about how i have been feeling.... my questions are do u think i am really depressed like.. do u think i have the disease or do u think im just a moody teenager? and do u think i should tell my mother? please please time one million answer my questions!!!! i reallyyyyyyy need help!

Okay this time of your life you will be going through a lot of feelings. I felt really depressed when I was 14 and I'm not 16 and its starting to go away. You can have a great life and still be depressed. Sometimes it has nothing to do about how you live. It's a trait, like the color or your hair that is passed down by your parents or grandparents. So somone in your family probably has it. And you shouldnt feel bad because your life isnt so bad. You may feel the same amount of depression as someone who lost a family member. I think you might have it those are signs of being depressed. You can always take medicines to make the depression better and to make sure you really do have it. I had a dream that my boyfriend's, mother's... boyfriend poisoned them and killed them. I woke up from that dream in my dream and went to see if it was true and it in my awaken dream, he really did die like that. I was crying and tossing. My parents heard me crying and tossing and turning. Then my dad woke me up and i was so relived it was a dream. The whole time though i was thinking, its just a dream call buck make sure he is still alive. When i woke up from both dreams called my boyfriend and he was alive. I have no idea, why i had such an awful dream like that. What do you think this is suppose to mean?????

People always have dreams. You probably had this dream because you really like your bf and maybe he has some problems with his mom (I'm just guessing) and you are scared of him dying. Ok, I'm a Freshman girl and I am 14.
I have been dating my boyfriend for about 1 month and a week. (He asked me out) We were getting along great at first, but it seems like the relationship is going down. Well not bad. We have gone to the movies 3 times and we flirted heavily while watching it. We made out I think 2 or 3 times and it had always been perfect and he says I'm really good. He usually hangs out with me after school, we have fun flirting and getting pictures with my camera. One thing that annoys me is that a few times he mentions who is Ex girlfriends were and it seems like he has had like 500! One girl he went out with is like the biggest slut in the whole school. Another thing is he keeps joking around that we should have sex, but it is funny though because I joke and say, "Ok." . A day or so ago he said he said, "It is over." But then he told me he was joking. It freaked me out because I thought he was really going to dump me.
Today my guy friend told me that my boyfriend is pissed off because I act too immature. Well I kinda fingured that. I'm crazy! I run around and jump all over my friends, I scream like an idiot, and I wear pink a lot and my friend told me I look like a 3rd grader. But after school we had fun and flirted for a while. But I think he might want to dump me because 2 of my guy friends were joking around and telling him that they would take my away and they told me he said, "Go ahead. Take her." I'm not sure if he was joking though. I think he was. I don't want him to dump me though because I like him so much.
Do you think this guy really likes me? How do I act more mature? Do you think it sounds like he wants to dump me?

Okay this guy is gay..Uh he is the one being stupid and immature by making a joke like that, saying its over. You should get a new bf. I bet he'd treat you a lot better and accept you for who you are. This guy your going out with doest, and i dont think he likes you for who you really are if he says stuff like that. My parents were exactly like that. I thikn you should have a talk with them and try to make them see the good things you do. A lot of parents only notice the bad things that their kids do and dont pay enough attention to the good things. If your getting good grades or havent been in trouble recently tell them that. Thats what I did..I was just like Dad i'm getting all A's, I dont do drugs, and have been really good. You can expect me to be perfect all the time because i'm going through a hard time. haha i sucked up but it worked. Then I told him that he doesnt notice the good things I do. good luck byez

To me cutting is just slitting your wrist for the pain of it. Not accutaly to kill yourself, but just to relese pain. If your not a cutter you wont understand how it feels..but its something people do to release anger or sadness. Your friend probably isnt trying to kill herself but might cut her wrist or ankles because she's depressed or sad and found this way to deal with it. ok i like hate my name so much .. it's Liana.. and well people sometimes "cant pronounce it" so they just say "Hey you!" or they just pronounce it wrong. Well this is hard. Right now he's probably hurt bcuz you broke up with him so much. If you really want to go back out with him or if you love him, tell him how sorry you are and you promise you will never do it again. You could get him something too (Depending on how far your willing to go to get him back.) Since you havent known Jacob for a long time then I would go out with billy. You probably know him very well and you have been friends for a long time. You might not know Jacob as well and I think after being friends with billy for so long that you know you cant count on him and trust him. Four years is a long time, and if you want a long lasting relationship then going with billy is the best way. I have been cutting. I don't know why I just have but it's hurting my friends really badly and I hate worrying them. I have to stop or my friend will tell my parents. How do I stop?

Hey. There's a lot of things you can do instead of cutting. For me what worked was getting on medicine and having a theripist for a while. At first I HATED it. But now i've stoped and i'm happy I went throught with it. If you dont want to do that there are also other things you can do. Instead of cutting snap a rubber band on your wrist. Try taking a nap or a bath or hanging out with friends to take things off of your mind. Do something you like doing. If things are pretty bad in your life, just remember you shoudlnt take it out on you, and things will get better!! I promise you they will. Good luck, I hope things go well! Alot of people are starting to say that my boyfriend doesn't care about me very much. He is always putting his arm round me and hugging me but he can be really insensitive whenever I'm upset. He says it's just because he isn't good in those situations but other people are saying different. What should I do?

No offence to guys but a lot of them arent good at those things. It has a lot to do with the age of them. But if he can put his arm around you and hug you when you are not sad, then he should be able to do that when you are sad. Then agian he could be shy and he could be telling the truth because he might feel bad that your sad and doesnt know what to do. He cares enough to go out with you and put his arms around you. Ok, i found this tube of lip gloss from when i moved about a year and a half ago. Do u think it's ok to use it?

Yeah lipgloss never expires. You can use it for years. I guess if it looks cute or something use it..but i'd probably be better to buy a new one. And if you found it meaning it was somone else's, lol thats kina gross. But i'd use it!
