Okay, so I am a bubbly 15 year old girl who loves life and laughs at everything. I do what I love and I do not care what others think about me. I have my close friends and that's it. Now, there is a boy in my class at school and we talk a lot, just about every day. He's so cute! Anyways, we were working on a project and I was laughing at something our foreign exchange student said and this boy (not the exchange student) just looked at me and said "you laugh a lot. I am gonna call you giggles." I asked him if there's a problem with how much I laugh and he said no it's just funny that I laugh so much so now he calls me giggles. I read somewhere that if a guy gives a nickname to a girl, he likes them, do you think that's true? He's a nice guy and he's a lot of fun to be around, he has the perfect smile. Every day in class we talk during project time and he laughs at my jokes, I laugh at his but I heard he has a bad reputation with the 'breaking up' portion of his relationships, like when he breaks up with a girl he will call them a bitch and a skank. I also read that when we talk and he has his feet pointed to me, his chest pointed to me and he is looking into my eyes, he likes me. He does do all of that when we talk. What do you think? Does he like me? Also, should I wait it out because he recently broke up with his ex? (link)
|
It really all depends on the guy. The key is to pay attention to how he acts around other girls. Does he have nicknames for them too? Or is it just you?
As for him being bad at breakups, consider the source. Did you hear this from a bitter ex girlfriend or one of your own close friends? It might not be true..then again it might. If he really does do that, it might reflect how he would act in a real relationship.
And how long ago did he break up with his ex, and how long were they dating? If it wasn't that long/serious I wouldn't worry about it. If it was longer than like 6 months, I might hold off..otherwise you may just be the rebound girl.
Good luck!
You can message me with any more questions if you want :]

what do i wear to a concert? i know it's dumb, but it's my first real concert, and i want something nice but not trashy. i live in the UK, so something with in a 16 yr old's price range, and that's avalible here. also does anyone know the Set they are playing now? thanks!!! (link)
|
people dont usually dress up for concerts because you get really sweaty when youre there anyway. Plus you get pushed up again lots of people so you dont want to wear a skirt or anything like that, and definitely closed toed shoes because your feet will get stepped on. Really, just dressing practical is the key.
I'm actually going to their concert a week from this friday!! So excited, just thought id say that. Im just gonna wear jeans and one of their tshirts. If you dont have an all time low tshirt, just any generic tshirt is fine. If you really wanna wear something kinda nice, maybe a tank top and a cardigan would be cute but not too dressy for a concert. And I think they'll probably play mostly stuff off their newest album, Nothing Personal, but I'm sure they will throw in a couple old ones too (hopefully)

what are signs that mean guy want to give you a kiss or want a kiss? (link)
|
if its at the end of a date and you think he wants to kiss you but hasnt worked up the courage, he may stall. ie if its in the car or at the door, whatever hes talking about he might find any excuse not to let you go you yet. also, if hes quieter than usual hes probably thinking about it and his mind is racing.
another surefire way to know is if he licks his lips. that means hes definitely thinking about it. or if he looks at your lips.
also, body language can say alot. if his shoulders are angled towards you this is a good sign. if yall are sitting and he keeps moving around to get closer, especially to your face, he probably wants to.

i start college in a few days, and i'm (finally) starting to freak out.
what should i bring? do i pack all my clothes? or just some of them, so that i don't have to pack again when i'm going back home?
should i bring school supplies, or buy them after i figure out what my classes require? i have pens and pencils and a backpack, obviously.
my parents honestly believe that college students come home every weekend. how do i let them know otherwise, without killing them? i wouldn't mind coming home every once in awhile, but i am not taking a two-hour ride back once a week.
there's so much more but i can't think of it right now. expect a couple edits. (link)
|
well i dont know where you live, but at my school people dress super casually..like shorts and a tshirt almost every day. so bring a lot of stuff like that, not too many dressy clothes are necessary. but still pack a lot..if you buy storage containers you can make quite a bit of space for your stuff.
college classes dont require that many school supplies...just have several spirals for notes and pens/pencils obviously like you said. i have a little file bin in my room where i just file all my class notes rather than having to carry them with me every day to class. (we print off the prof's notes and then add our own off the lecture and then i file them away). backpacks and lunchboxes are totally back in btw.
the big thing is gonna be textbooks..reallyyyy expensive. when you buy them, find out what the stores return policy is because a lot of times professors will tell you that you actually dont need something or that you can buy an online book (much cheaper)..but some require the actual book so it just depends.
and as for the parents, just tell them you have a lot of studying to do. because believe me, that wont be a lie. and they want you to do well, right?
feel free to ask me any more questions.

Hello there, I'm the person you gave advice to about wether or not my friend in Florida felt the same way about me that I felt about her. The confusing messages she gives me. I wanted to run past you some conversations we have had the last few day via email and get your thoughts on them.
I asked her when the last time was that she woke up in the morning and said WOW what a wonderful day, I'm happy!! And her response to that was: "The last time I woke up happy was in Wi w/ you having fun! FREE! Away from Florida! So there. I felt very free and had lots of fun".
I also asked her if when she got married if she was very much in love with her husband and her response was: "No i wasn't SOOOO in love w/him mainly I wanted to get away from my step Dad and so he was the way out". Then she added the following statement: "I don't know why I just go along like I do, I think cause I really don't know what to do, or where I'd go, or where and how I would live. So I just do each day. Thats me".
Then I asked her why is she knows how I feel about her doesn't she ask me to get lost and leave her alone and her response was: "no I will never tell you to get lost! There is nothing you could tell me to make me want that!!!!!!!!!!, I wish I were there to have coffee on the front porch w/ U!!! I bet it is nice!"
Another odd thing: I have asked her straight out (in an email)if it bothers her that I feel the way I do about her and she just will not respond to that question!!! Don't you find that odd?
She also added this statement in her lastest email to me: "I am sorry things are the way they are! Like you say,"It is what it is!" Sometimes we can't change things."
Okay so there, does that shed any light on anything for you?? Any comments you have I will appreciate. I feel very strongly that she is in love with me but that her life circumstances won't allow her to admit it much less act on it.
thank you soooooooooooooooo very much for allowing me to chat with you like this!!

yeah that all sounds like its pretty obvious that there are definitely feelings there. she would probably think you were a little crazy and try to push you away if she didnt feel anything. i think its more about convincing her that her happiness is whats most important rather than just settling for what she has now. to me its not even a question about whether or not she has feelings because to me its pretty obvious that she does. get her to like..i dont know read a self help book or watch oprah or something lol shes gotta get it through her head that she deserves to be happy!
not sure if thats what you were looking for but you can keep it coming if youve got more :]

a guy can read girls minds and i remember there's one girl who keeps thinking about looking at his junk and he can like tell what she's thinking and its awkward lol does anyone know what movie this is? sorry if its the wrong category i didn't really know where to put it. Oh and its a few years old (link)

sounds like What Women Want

i eat healthy and exercise regularly but im not entirely happy with my body. it sounds really shallow but occasionally people bring up comments that really hurt me.
my upper body im absolutely fine with but from my bust downwards i really dont like. i have a thin waist but i dont like the fat on my belly and my bums quite big :S my lower leg is quite thin but my thighs are really big. when i look to the side of me in the mirror i hate my body shape.
i dont know what to do to make me have the figure i want because i dont seem need to change anything as i am a healthy person, but im building up moe fat in the places i dont want.
please help. (link)

General dieting and cardio exercising will help definitely help you lose weight, but you don't control where you lose the weight. If you want to target a certain part of your body, you won't necessarily lose weight in that target area, but you can tone it. That means you may gain weight on the scale because muscle weighs more than fat, but you will lose inches and look thinner. My favorite thing has been pilates. I spent about $30 on a video that came with a little thing that went with the video. Most pilates videos have several different segments to choose from to target the part of your body you want to be thinner. A lot of them are pretty short..ie 8 minutes for stomach, 11 minutes for legs etc. so very doable.

Thank you for answering my question about why my friend would tell me "I miss you more than you will ever know" I think what you said hits the target right on. This has been a stressful 2 years for me because even though I told her my feelings went deeper for her than friendship she keeps doing things that lead me to believe she is in fact into me as well. In fact I got an email from her tonight and she wrote this blurb in her email: "You work too hard sometimes! That house is a lot of work! You should sell it and come live here in Florida! Yes!!!! That is a great idea!!!!How about it???" and signed off on her email this: "Love and miss ya! TONS!!!!!" So you can see why this would be sooooooo confusing.
Thank you again for taking the time to comment on my post!!
Take care

Aw you are very welcome :] That does sound confusing. It's really easy for me to say something to you from the outside looking in, but I know no matter what advice people try to give you, it's a lot harder to try to deal with something like this. The logical answer would be to find a girl who is actually willing to be with you since you have already spent a whole 2 years after this one. But it's so much easier said than done. Honestly, it seems like she would like to have some kind of fling with you, but in the end flings hurt you more when they won't leave their significant other, you know? If someone else comes into the picture, don't let your feelings for her hold you back. But other than that, just keep following your heart!
Feel free to talk to me whenever you like :]

I have been looking everywhere for cool b-day party themes. Each website I go to, the only themes featured are murder, scavenger hunt, sleepover and things like that. I was thinking of doing a mall scavenger hunt/sleepover but I need more ideas. By the way, my b-day is in January, if that helps. (: (link)
|
You could do a millionaire themed party. I had a party once where everyone dressed up and then we sat down for a nice dinner and we set up the dining room as a restaurant. I made menus and got out the fancy china and played italian music (it was italian food). There were 3 courses and my parents served us like waiters and stuff. Everyone had a blast and it turned out really cute!
|
By the end of this week I will be in a long distance relationship, thanks to college.
I need some ideas for fun things to do over the phone, or to send each other. I'm hoping if we keep ourselves occupied with games or fun stuff then we won't keep thinking about how we can't be with each other.
Any ideas? (link)
|
Definitely getting a webcam will be nice. And of course it they are close enough, visit if you can. You can watch the same movie at the same time and stay on the phone with them the whole time, that's always cute. Also, dont underestimate the oldfashioned snail mail. Writing a sweet letter by hand can mean a lot. You can add your own touch with maybe a spray of your perfume on the letter? Maybe something small that will remind him of you? Like a movie ticket stub you kept..or a picture of yall or something.

Okay I have this best friend, I am female and she is female. I told her 2 years ago my feelings for her went deeper than friendship. The story is long so just know that every intuition and gut feeling of mine tells me she feels the same way about me but won't admit it. She KNOWS how I feel about her and she just spent a week with me on vacation, left her husband (no love there) at home. Anyway what I want to know is why if she knows how I feel would she sign off on an email "I miss you more than you will ever know"?? I don't get that statement.
Thank you for your advice. (link)
|
It sounds like she has the same feelings as you but doesn't want to admit it. If she admits it, it would be like denouncing her entire life up until this point. She probably doesn't want to leave her husband, so that's why "you will never know" because she can't give up that life. I don't know her, but I bet society's views and pressure is causing her not to act on her feelings.

hey, so i heard using a product called 'bikini zone' will really help underarm pimples and bumps. thing is, i have no idea where to get this product, and i also have never heard of it before. lol.
so, i was wondering if anyone can tell me where to get this product.. i live in brisbane, so i need a spot near here.. a specific place and shop would be great!
thanks! (link)
|
So I know you didnt ask for extra advice, but here are a few tips for underarms bumps: when you shave, make sure your skin is wet with warm water to better open the pores. Always use either a shaving cream (preferably with Vitamin E and/or aloe vera) or even a lotion..just something so the razor isnt directly on the skin. Also, dont apply deodorant directly after shaving-wait at least 30 minutes to an hour.
And as for wear to buy this, I know we sold it at Brookshire Brothers pharmacy. Go to any grocery or convenience store and look near the pharmacy counter. You can always ask the pharmacist for a recommendation. They know a lot about over the counter stuff and unlike a doctor, they won't charge you.
|
yo, so my underarms are kind of brownish and i was just wondering if anyone knew what could cause this? xxx (link)
|
If you shave really often or if you sweat a lot, it can cause them to get dark. (try shaving every other day and see if it helps?)
However, this could be something more serious. Dark underarms can be a symptom of diabetes. If it runs in your family, you may want to go to a doctor to get it checked out.

HEYYY does anyone know a good product to put in your hair before you straighten it? Doesn't matter the cost, just something that works. Something that's been proven to work by you or someone else would be really great. Thanks guyss :) :) (link)
|
It depends on what youre going for. To protect your hair, I love the Chi line, there is an "infra" shampoo and conditioner. Nice bonus: your hair still smells really good after you straighten it, instead of that kinda burned smell. I also really like Paul Mitchell's "seal and shine" spray-it gives thermal protection and adds shine :] You can spray this on when your hair is dry and youre about to straighten it.

I swear it was love at first sight, because ever since the first day I met jason he's the only guy I ever thought about. The problem is we're in a non dating relationship and its his choice! One day I went to see him and ran into a few of his freinds who said he was with this really hot girl and I never said anything to him about it because we're not official. But he knows I care about him more than anything in the world but he will not cave he is not going to have a real relationship with me now and maybe ever. I feel like the girl he can fall back on but he says its not like that. He says that he cares about me and im the only girl he does anything with but he's not ready to commit. Now there is this other guy chris he is my ex and we just started talking again like a month ago, we broke up about 8 months ago because he was going through some hard times and he wanted to deal with them on his own and we never got to spend time together. He told me the first day we started talking again that he missed me so much and when I told him that I was dedicated to being with jason he said he would wait until I realized we were meant for eachother. and he is doing exactly that! chris calls me every day and we talk on the phone for hours, he drops his plans for me every time I want to see him, and he tells me every single time we talk that he loves me. This is so hard I love jason and he's the one I really want but I dont think I will ever be abled to have him. Then there is chris my first real love and best friend who does everything for me and makes me feel so special, but sometimes when were together I cant help but think he's not right cause he's not jason. What should I do?
(link)
|
Have you seen the movie/read the book "He's just not that into you"?
well if you have, id say the guy jason is like the guys in that movie/book. i know when you really care about someone, its hard to just take the advice to dump them and go with the good guy, but its definitely whats best. and its soo much easier for me to say that from the outside looking in. so ultimately, the decision is up to you because i know when you love someone its so easy to look past all the flaws. I think you should just follow your gut..who makes you feel like you can just be you no matter what?
|
I recently stoped seriosly talking to a guy , we were very close to going out but diffrences mades us decide that it would be better for us to be friends , i still have strong feelings for him . Should i try to contuine to be his friend or is it not helping me get over him ? I do care for him alot but is it possible to be " just friends ". (link)
|
in my experience, most of the time its pretty difficult to be just friends. either one person isnt mature about it and would rather ignore them or when you do try to talk to them after having the feelings, it starts to feel awkward and forced. if it does feel like there is a pink elephant in the room, its probably best that you give each other some space and its always a lot easier to get over someone that way. you can always try it out again later when youre totally over each other, but at first i would try some distance. but that doesnt mean you should be rude, you know? still give a friendly smile when passing by and that stuff.

My hair is so oily that it's grossing me out. I have to wash it everyday no matter what. Any suggestions on how to minimize oil in the scalp so I don't have to be frantic over washing it all of the time? My hair is thin and oily so it's very noticeable! (link)
|
if you only condition the ends of your hair instead of the roots, it will help a lot. also when you use shampoo, use it mostly around the roots, and when you wash it out and it runs over the ends, that is usually enough to clean the ends of your hair, so it doesn't dry it out so much.

I have combination skin...oily some days butdry some other days. I've gotten the dry half a little under control thanks to a really good moisturizer, but sometimes my face is a little oily and I have troubles with foundation now. I've tried all types, liquids, powders and mousse kinds. I feel liquids are always too heavy, powders don't cover properly, and mousses seem to get absorbed into my skin and I look just like I've never put make up on.
I'm looking for a light foundation with pretty good coverage, but my main request if for something that LASTS. I feel like any make up I put on just disappears within a few hours and I'm back to looking like poo. haha Thanks for the help! (link)
|
i have combination skin too, and i recently bought a foundation that has worked wonders for me!! its by clinique, its called "clarifying makeup clear skin formula". its pretty expensive for a foundation (about $20) but its the best one ive had so far. the nice part is that you can go to a department store and theyll put it on for you to find your match and see if you like it for free.

i dont have like bad breath. i brush my teeth everyday. and keep them cleaned. but me and my boyfriend got more into the whole kissing thing. and im always self cautious that my breath stinks. what are some things i can eat or drink to make my breath smell better? please help! thankyou (link)
|
well i dont know of anything to eat to make your breath better, but i know the things to stay away from. the obvious include garlic and onions. the not so obvious is cheese, ice cream, milk, and other dairy products.
i have a lip gloss from bath and body works and the brand is "c.o. bigelow" its called like mentha lip gloss. there are lots of flavors and they make your breath minty and it tastes really good! (and isnt sticky or anything)
oh and brushing your tongue (from back to front, with toothpaste) helps a lot too.

For prom i have a light green dress that has very intricate beading on the top half...and is a poofy dress. I have long hair and i'm thinking i should probably put my hair all up for prom because i want ppl to be able to see the beading.. but it doesnt have that interesting of a back or anything.. so i'm kinda stuck. I dont particularly like my face in in all updo. so what should i do ? a half updo would probably still cover up the beads.. but thats kinda what i want to do. the lady at the store said to do up because i normally wear my hair down... (link)
|
you could do something similar to this
http://www.prom-hairstyles.us/images/028.jpg
the part of the hair that is down can stay on your back, so it wont really cover the beads in the front, and it wont affect a simple back. also the small hair pins can accent the dress-if you get some that are the color called "aurora borealis" they will pick up the color in your dress.
