Q: So i've been on strict caloric restrictions (for weight loss purposes) for about 3 months now... And recently after a period of doing really badly (going above 2000) I returned to 1200. Now I never feel hungry- even if I don't eat anything it's like my stomach has something in it all the time that I didn't put in there. And I'm concerned that this might be starvation mode.

How can I tell if I'm in it or not?

Yeah, pretty much that's what they call 'starvation mode.' I'd suggest that even when you're not feeling hungry, eat anyway -- even if it's just small meals. Then work your way back up to your 1200 calories or whatever.

is it true that if you dye your hair while on your period that your hair turns green or yellow or whatever?

No. But being on your period DOES mess with your hormones, so your hair color might not turn out exactly like you want it to -- but no, it won't turn out some random color.

But NEVER dye your hair while you're pregnant. Haha... trust me, bad experiences with that one. =]

Q: i have a pair of pin-stripe pants (like the fancier ones) but they aren't full length, they cut off at my knee.

Q: what happens at the end of wedding crashers?

Everyone ends up with who they're really supposed to be with, of course. Then at the end, they're driving off and they decide to crash a wedding, and they pretend they're a folk-singing group from... I can't remember where. It was cute though.

Q: were getting our yearbooks in a week and i would like to put in my boyfriends yearbook that i want to kiss him(accually kinda make-out) but i dont know how to tell him in his yearbook. im to afraid to ask him in person so i want to put it in his yearbook. we have been going out for almost two months and we havnt kissed yet and im dying to make-out with him.it would be my first time making-out(ive alredy had my first kiss) and for some reason i really want my first time to be with him. can someone give me some ideas about what i could write?i have one idea and that is to put after p.s. im still waiting for my kiss but thats all ive got.thanks to anyone whoe trys!

Don't write anything in his yearbook because... well, I don't want to burst your bubble, but not all high school relationships work out and it would kinda suck to look back at his high school yearbook and see that his ex wrote about kissing him (and what if his future wife read it?).

So what I suggest is, well, what I did to my ex... haha.

I wrote in his yearbook, just how cool he was and all that, and then started to hand it to him and just said, "What'll you give me for this?" And just made some playful flirting out of it until we kissed. =]

If you're looking for a starter, I'd suggest maybe some form of grilled veggies. A side salad would be great too.

As far as a sweet dish, how about a fruit cocktail or fruit salad? And as a drink, you could make fresh juice -- whichever fruits you used in the salad.

1] No, you can NOT get pregnant from masturbating. You would have to come into some kind of contact with a male's sperm in order for that to happen.

2] It's totally normal to masturbate on your period. It can get a little messy, so watch out for that, but nothing bad can happen. As a matter of fact, masturbating actually helps with cramps.

Yesterday afternoon i went to the batting cages with a couple of friends, and when i went to bat, the ball hit my hand (35 mph). I can't really recall exactly what happened; if it hit my hand directly, or ricocheted off the bat. But i felt a really sharp pain go through my hand, mostly my pointer finger.

Directly after, i noticed my finger was bright red. I tried to bend it a few minutes later, and it really hurt and looked sort of swollen.

Later on i could bend it and wouldn't hurt as much, but my hand feels really weird. It's not really easy to bend my finger, and my other fingers feel almost out of place.

What might have happened, and what should i do about it?

You could have dislocated your finger, but I doubt it since your other fingers don't feel right either. You probably sprained your index finger, which makes your metacarpals (your hand-bones) feel like they're not right, either. I'd suggest trying not to use it too much, icing it (15 minutes on, 30 minutes off) and just generally not bothering it. If it still hurts on Monday, you should go to the doctor. =]

Q: where can i get a really cute bikini thats not overly expensive or i can get the top and the bottom for one price. not like 30 for the top and 30 for the bottom.

Try Target. Also, I was in WalMart yesterday and I saw some REALLY cute ones for under $30 for the whole bikini. If you want something more "name brand" try Aeropostale -- they've got a sale on a whole bathing suit for $30.

Q: What is a good swimsuit bottom for a girl with big hips, thighs, and butt?

Well, it depends. If you're tiny on top and big on the bottom like me, then you could wear a regular bikini top and then a shorts-style bottom (for more coverup on your bottom). If you're bigger everywhere like my sister, then you'd probably want to go with a tankini top and shorts bottom. =] If you're looking for a LOT of coverup, try a bottom that has an attached skirt or something -- there are lots of cute ones at www.torrid.com

Q: I'm 15 years old and I can't swallow pills. :(
I can swallow pasta whole and recently I swallowed a vitamin that was coated in something that made it slippery so it was easier to swallow but not everything comes like that, of course. And I don't remember how I did that. It's really annoying because I just got these pills but I CANNOT swallow them. I've practiced with tic tacs but even they don't go down. I try putting it in my mouth then gulping water and tilting my head back but it doesn't work. What's wrong with meee?!

Don't tilt your head back -- yeah, you'd think that it would work, but it actually makes it more difficult. Try placing the pill on the back of your tongue -- as far back as you can get it. Then don't gulp the water, just drink a couple of sips normally. Keep drinking & swallowing until it goes down, even if it takes a few sips. It definitely will go down, even if it feels like it doesn't want to -- just keep drinking and don't give up when it doesn't go down with the very first swallow. =]

this is my question how do i know when my wife is responding to me ruff or sarcastically so i wouldnt respond harshly thinking that shes arguing with me when she's not?

Women are nuts, and I can say that because I am one. To be honest, you can never tell with us, whether we're being sarcastic or arguing. I think your safest bet is to not respond harshly to her in any situation, and simply ask, "Are you serious?" Either way, try to avoid an argument though, because fighting sucks. =]

Well, if you mean the LITERAL sense, it's someone who beats their wife or girlfriend.

Q: my friend emily thinks she is emo. SHE ISNT. She is the farthest thing from it. No one can convince her that she isnt though. Its so annoying. In her instant messanger profile, it says "IM EMO AND SO PROUD". every one tells her shes not, and its so annoying. DSFDBDFG. How can I get across to her that she isnt? She wears polos, and all she wears is hollister and abercrombie. she use to cut, but that was only for a day. she thinks that that makes her a hard core emo. I am so confused. Why would she want to be something she isnt?

Why not just let her say and believe that she's emo? I mean, really -- does it hurt you?

If she thinks she's emo, then it's her prerogative and no one else can change her opinion on herself -- even if you all think she's wrong. Just let her say what she's going to say. =]

Q: i am not on birth control and we didnt use a condom i was supposed to have my period on the 30th of april and i still dont have it i took a preg test but it came up negative i havent been cramping like i usally do before i get my period and i dont have and pms or anything. how much longer should i wait till i take another one? and how can i create a false neg or false positive? i mean i really aint worried about being pregnant but i am worried about if he would be there with me were both over 20 amd i am just worried i guess if he would be there for me!!

A false negative can happen when the levels of hCG (the pregnancy hormone) aren't high in your body. That could mean it's too early to take the test, or you aren't pregnant.

False positives happen when the hCG level is higher than normal -- which doesn't necessarily mean you're pregnant.

When did you take the first test? Even though it says a test can be taken up to 4 days before your missed period, that's not necessarily true. Wait until either:

1] A week after you took the first test, or
2] Your period is 5 or so days late.

That way, if you are pregnant, you're more likely to have a high enough amount of hCG in your system.

Also, to get a higher level of hCG, use your first morning urine -- as in, the very first time you pee in the morning. That's when the hormone is the most concentrated.

If you don't get your period within 3 weeks of its normal time, and you're still concerned, go to a gynocologist to get a blood test. They tend to be more conclusive.

Well, it depends on the people. Some people really like to be physical, because that's just the type of people they are. Some don't.

Here's what I think. If Gina likes that close physical contact, then it's fine. If Gina doesn't like it, then she should say something.

If you are not Gina OR Rosie, then you should mind your business, because Gina's and Rosie's relationship is no one's business but their own. =]
