Q: does anyone know what age it is legal to get a belly button ring in new york?

if youre under 18 you need a parents permission but if youre older than that, you can go whenever you want.

Q: im so nervous!! ive never had a real job before (i just turned 16) and im about to go get an interview for an ice cream place. what are some questions they might ask me?

they ask you a bunch of dif kinds. mostly like what is your experiance? why should you be hired? how are you interacting with other people? stuff like that. dont worry its over fast!

trust me i know EXACTLY how you feel. But trust me again, you really just have to wait. The best advice i can give, is do not act like you really want one. that just turns guys off. they like it when you play cool and seem like you don't care. i know it works a lot for my friends and now that im startin to do it, its beginin to work for me to!

Q: We are making bisquick since we don't have any, and it asks for POWDERED MILK. Is there anything we can substitute for that because we dont have it?

Q: yea so im a 15/f i really like basketball & id love to play next year but im so nervous because there are a limited amount of spots! in 7th, 8th, & 9th grade seasons i played post, but because im not exactly the tallest im having to change to guard. im really worried about dribbling & outside shots any one got anything i can practice?!

Hey. I play basketball and I have been since I was 3... now im 15. I play post but I'm not one of the tallest at all anymore but my coach still has me playing down low. Talk to your coach and ask him if you can still try and stay down there because your not quite comfortable yet and you need time to work on your moves (which you do.. it will take a lot of time and effort)

To start working out with the gaurds exercises... well its basiclly pretty simple. practice the dribbles. Have a parent/ friend/ sibling stand where you are going to be dribbling (but you dont want them to actually try and steal it... yet. give that time) and practice: basic dribbling, crossover, behind the back, new york, between the legs, and the spider move. If you don't know how to do any of these, look them up on the web. there are some great sites out there if you look.

also try to work out because no matter what posisition, as the age group gets older, you need to stay strong to be able to be as agressive as the other person.

Q: I was planning on redecorating my room. Im going to paint my walls white and i want to get a red (or something with red) bed comforter. i have one big window and i wanted to get red drapes. does any one have any other ideas or like websites where i could get pillows or decorating ideas or stuff that would look good with my room i rate 5's

Here are a couple of my favorites
-PB Teen~ it's pretty expensive but you can find really cute stuff that you like and then get an idea of what you want for your room

-Pier 1~ Just flat out cute stuff

-My favorite of all, Linens and Things~ SOOOO many choices and cute stuff there and the prices are usually REALLY good.

-Target~ Yeah not a lot of choices but look arounf and they have some cute stuff for great prices

Q: okay so i just now found out that i am a B instead of an A cup size... how can i get my mom to buy me new bras?? im shy about this whole changing into a woman thing.. so is there a way i could convince her to take me? cuz i mean she always rubs it into my face and acts like she is totally blank about the whole me being a B.. it makes me feel uncomfterble..

haha well dont worry most moms are like that. they get out of it though. What you can do is tell her you need to buy some more and ask her for money. Then, take a group of your girlfriends out to the mall or wherever you buy yours and then have some fun with the whole thing. then your mom wont even have to be with you!

hey. nah your parents cant take away your kid unless your shown to be an unfit mother. just to warn you, people will be keeping a close eye on you since you are young. just talk to your parents about it, thats what you need to do as soon as possible. things will turn out fine, good luck.

I think that personalizing it would kind of in a way mean more. I would personalize it, plus you can decorate his name and make it all cute haha. just kidding you dont have to. but i would personalize it

Q: i have a bf and we've known each other since kindergarden (i'm 14,8th grade)well the problem is he calls me but RARELY i trust him but when he doesn't call or i have to call him too much too talk i start to think negative thoughts. wow i was in the exact same situation. like ive known him since kindergarten and we were together and i worried cuz he never called but i didnt want to keep calling him. yep. ok well heres what you do....

stop calling him. after a couple days hes going to miss you and start to wonder what your up to. youre right to trust him and want to give him room so just completely back off and let him do the calling. trust me it works.

Well this is a really tought situation and I'm actual in the same one myself. Unfortunately, there isn't a nice way to do it at all. If people want to be immature about the whole thing and think you're mean, they really aren't worth your time. They should get over it though. Trust me people can't hold onto grudges forever. Just go up to her and tell her "You are a mean person and if I'm so mean why are you my friend?" She should definately get the point and if she doesn't, then just start treating her REALLLLLY badly and she definately wont want to be around.
OOON the other hand, if you want to be nice and "mature" about this whole thing, you can do it right back to her. Follow her around and do everything with her then she will most likely get sick of you. But, save this option for last because this girl DOES sound crazy and she might actually enjoy your company.
Overtime things will work out no matter what you decide to do. Good luck and remember... stick it to the man!

Don't worry it's only discharge and it happens usually right before you get your period. Nothing to worry about!!

Q: One of my best friends is dating the guy that I like. And this is the 2nd time they're going out. The thing is I still like him and I can't stand being around them when they're together. Talk to your girlfriend and ask her why she's going out with him if she doesn't really like him. Tell her that you like him and that you would appreciate it if she could back off since she doesn't like him that much. If she still decides to blow you off then go up and talk to your guy friend. Tell him that she is telling you that shes not really into him. Make sure you don't let him know you like him (its not the time and it would also look REALLY suspicious) also, make sure you're really nice about it because chances are is he's going to be hurt.

If you have another friend or are close to another friend of theirs you could always ask them to ask him for you. That way you would know for sure! also you could read the signs he gives you which could be quite difficult since you guys are really close friends.

Negatives: he is outside the country taking college exams. i LOVE him but i'm not INlove.

Positives: he is coming IN spring break TOO and staying a year in my country. he is stable and wants this serious relationship. he says that IF I WANT he could move and study in my country instead of the one he just applied to which is outside the country.

ok ... don't tell me the "if you were INLOVE you wouldn't doubt.. I"M SURE I LOVE the "mystery guy" BUT long distance relationships are extremely hard and has 0 garanties.

the "good guy" loves me deeply and wants me to stay the summer with him..

i asked my mom and she said that the GOOD guy is the way to go b/c the "follow your heart" only happens in movies.. i have done nothing but cry after she told me.. i mean is it true!? should i follow my brain instead of my heart?! i have to decide b/c IF i tell the mystery guy to come in sprping break it will be over with the good guy. and i have to decide what am i going to do over summer.. go to the mystery's guy house or stay with the good guy?

Well I know this isn't going to help much but, follow your heart. It sounds like you've tried it and you said you're IN LOVE with this mystery guy which I personally think is much stronger than the love you have for the good guy. Like you said, there are no gaurentees in long distance relationships and I know personally they are very very hard to keep working. Though, you could always ask mystery guy if he would every consider moving to your country and studying there to make things easier on the both of you or maybe you could move there (depending on your age of course).

on the other hand, while spending the summer with the good guy, you could find that you truly fall IN love with him and realize that you made a good choice. Obviously this guy really likes you since he is moving away from where he is from to be with you.

if i was you, I would stay with the Good Guy. This is because I believe that you will fall in love with this guys love for you and also in love with him. there is also the knowledge that he is serious and it's not long distance where you have to constanly worry and miss the person. Overall, either way you go I'm sure you will be happy and overtime you're going to wish you made the other choice to see what it was like and how it could have turned out. This happens to everyone but remember, follow your heart and do what you think is right. I'm sure you'll be happy with whoever you pick.

Q: I missed my period last month i usually have it between 12th and 15th of every month but last month i didnt. I have been sexually active in 7 months so i know im not pregnant. And i have had my period since the 6th grade and im in the 11th now. Should i Be worried or just wait.?

Don't worry about it. It is normal for an occasional period to be missed for anyone of all ages. If it is missed this coming month then you might want to go see a doctor and tell her your problem. I'm sure it's nothing serious just give it time and it should come around.

Q: How do I tell my mom I don't want her in the Gyno exam with me? Actually, I want her there, but I don't want her to know I have had sex. So I can't have her there. So how do I tell her I don't want her there without sounding suspicious or mean?

Just calmly tell her that you don't feel very comfortable with her in there. Tell her it's your body and you'd prefere if you could keep it private to yourself and you doctor. She should completely understand.

Q: Im 13 in 7th grade and I want to be in the talent show and I've selected a really good piece---"Un Moto Di Gioia" from Marriage of Figaro. I know that I'm only 13 and all, but I've been singing for a really long time and my voice is plenty mature and operatic to sing this---my choir teacher assigned it to me as a solo last year at choir camp and I did a fine job, so don't give me a lecture on "your-voice-isn't-mature-enough" because it is. The only problem is, what if people, like, make fun of me for singing this in the 7th grade? I mean, everyone else will be doing stuff like rapping and pop like Mariah Carey and it'll just look...weird. Do you think I should lay back or go for it???

I'd say go for it! This is your chance to shine and people will definatly remember it for years to come and will see how mature you are to be singing something completely different. I think this sounds like an awesome idea and if I were you, I would do it in a heartbeat!!

Q: I think I am fat. I weigh about 116-120 pounds and am about 5"4. Is this overweight?
I don't have like ANY time at all to exercize, I do lose weight, but than I end up gaining it all back on. I can't wake up an hour earlier in the morning because I am already tired as is. I am busy like ALL the time. Does anyone have any way I could lose weight quickly, and wouln't take much time out of my schedual?

okay well, first of all you are NOT fat. But if you still want to lose weight then I suggest Tae Bo. Yeah a lot of people make fun of it but truth is, it's a lot of fun and it gets you in shape and helps you lose weight. There are 4 different kinds of movies he makes including one thats an 8 minute workout.
