Q: Well, to start off I'm 15/f. I play the guitar and I have for about 2 years now and I absolutly love it. I just started highschool this past September. In November I signed up to be on my schools fencing team. I don't seem to have time to do any of the things that I used to do. I'm so caught up with all of my school work, and fencing practice, I hardly have any time at all to even pick up my guitar and strum a few chords. I feel guilty now because I show up at my guitar lessons and my teacher is expecting me to have the song we had worked on for the past 3 weeks perfectly memorized, because that's how it was for me when I first started playing, and I can hardly play the first 2 notes! I miss playing and I love fencing just the same and I don't want to give up fencing. Is there any way that I can find the time to play my guitar, do all of my school work, and fence at the same time? It's so frustrating! Please help!

Either give something up, or budget your time better. If all of these things are really importatn to you, then don't hang out with your friends as often. You'll see them in the summer.

So, let me get this straight. He's your bext friend. And he's nice to you. And he has a girldfriend. And he's still your best friend. I beleive you answered your own question when you said "or is it just a friend thing."

Q: Hi people! I am on a high school varsity cheerleading squad. And the thing is, there are 15 of us and we are 600.00 in debt cause the last year's coach bought the team new uniforms and never paid for them, and now we need fundraising ideas. We already got the basics like the car wash, bake sale, candy sales, and things like that. So if anyone has any other ideas rather than the one's above, IT WOULD HELP US OUT ALOT! What you could do is have someone design a T-shirt which you would sell to people in your school. Sell the t-shirt to people. Try cafeshops.com if you want to eliminate a lot of hassle.

Q: i have a real big problem.. my best friend cuts herself.. she doesnt seem to think that theres anything wrong with it. but there deff. is. and the reason she does it is bcuz the kid she likes isnt going out with her but he likes her. and i keep talking to her telling her that she needs to stop bcuz shes gona end up killing herself one day. and she keeps saying i know i know im gona stop. but she never does. and she told me not to tell her mom or any guidence counclers or anyone. how i can help her stop hurting herslef without telling anyone about it??

Explain to her that this isn't somethng she should be getting this upset over. It seems to me that she has deeper issues than not having a boyfriend. Either she can't cope with problems or she has very low self esteem. Talk to her about why she does it. Once you find the cause of the problem, it should be easier to solve.

Take away her knives or whatever sharp object she uses. Tell her that you are there for her and that she can call you whenever she feels the need to.

Don't be afraid to tell an adult if you feel that you can't handle this by yourself. She'll hate you after you tell someone, but in the long run she'll thank you for it.

And the fact that she cuts herself does not mean that she'll kill herself one day.

Q: I recently got my tongue pierced. I love it, but the thing is, my church and friends don't approve of it. How do I deal with those opposed to the piercing?

Its your piercing. If they don't like it, tell them to shove it.

I wouldn't know where to get one, but they make clear tongue studs. Maybe people won't be as offended by it if it isn't so noticable.

Q: Ok, this is going to be kind of long because I need to give you all the details. I haven't always been overweight, but when I was finally aloud to stay home in the summer by myself, I started to get bigger. I couldn't go anywhere when my parents were home, so I sat and watched TV and ate constantly. Well, the big problem is that was about 6 years ago! Every year I say I'm going to finally lose weight, and I still haven't. Now I'm at least 30 pounds over-weight, and even though I love playing sports and being active, I also love to sit at home and eat the "tasty" foods. I am going to be a junior, and it is so hard to be an over-weight teen. I know all the stuff I need to do if I want to lose weight, but I just can't find my motivation to do it. Do any of you have advice to try help me? Please, I would really appreciate it.

Work out with friends.

Maybe talk to your parents about helping you. Have your mom buy less food and more healthy snacks. Have them enforce a TV-watching limit for you. Or, set a schedule for yourself, where for every hour that you work out, you can watch a half hour of TV.

While youre watching TV, so exercise such as push ups or cruches.

Get up early in the morning to jog.

Any guy who's gonna write you of because of your looks isn't worth your time anyways. Just be yourself. Don't change yourself for guys, you'll end up unhappy and burned.

Honestly? If you make them think that you've started smoking maybe they'll realize that they are setting a bad example and stop.

Or just tell them to stop, leave printouts of truth ads and such around your house.

If he doesnt't like you then he doesn't like you and there's nothng you can do about it, so move on with your life. Try calling him. If he doesn't like you, then well, that sucks for you. And if he likes the girl you "really hate," again, theres nothing you can do.

There's not really any way to ensure that she doesn't tell, short of stuffing her in a trunk. Maybe tell her again that she shouldn't tell her mom. And don't make out in front of her, thats just kinda dumb.

Its different for every perdon. I have a friend who was finished developing at age 14, whereas I, at 17, am not sure that I am done yet. You might still get bigger. At 15 I was a B/C, and now I'm a D. So you might get bigger, you might not.

Q: Alright. I'm fourteen-years-old and I'm a Freshman, this year, in High School; just to give you an idea of where I am, as far as maturing goes.

No one has ever really spoken to me about health and growing. And I suppose I'll end up learning about this in Sex Ed. but I figured I would get advice, now, anyways.

This afternoon, I started noticing a soreness on the sides and tops of my breasts. I'm not entirely sure what this soreness means or whether or not it's a good thing so that's where I need help.

Is it normal to have sore breasts? Do you get 'growing pains' as you mature, on your chest?

Its completely normal. Yes, they are growing pains. You'll also notice the rest of your body changing a lot over the next few years. Have fun bra shopping (that was sarcasm, bra shopping sucks ass).

Try talking to your dad. Explain to him that it really bothers you that she isn't dicsiplined. Have him talk to your grandmother about feeding her treats.

Don't go out with him. I was in a very similar- almost identical, actually- situation and got burned. It isn't worth it.

Q: ok well here it goes.. i want to be a model so where is the closest modeling place type thing close or in kansas?? and one of my friends is already starting their modeling carreer! and she said that all sum1 had to do was refer her and then she got into modeling..so where is somewhere to do TEEN modeling either on runway or for ads in a magazine or something like that?
